I visited this spot during a weekend lunch and found they only have 3 tables and then 6 hightop seats facing a wall. Unfortunately, they only have 1 table for 4 people and the others are for 2 persons only. So if that table is not open, your only choice are the stools or waiting. They do have a lunch menu weekly with 4 choices for $12-$13 that come with a 2pc harumaki. As others have indicated, this restaurant is cute and decked out with a lot of small japanese toys, nick nacks, books and claw machines. The good thing is the claw machines are pretty easy to win and actually guaranteed to win with every 10 tries. I won 2 items on 4 tries if that gives you any idea. I ordered a combination of sushi and cooked food on my visit. I tried the Beef Yakiniku Don and the yellowtail with scallion roll. My group also ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, kids bento box with chicken karrage and a creamy cold noodle ramen. Don - comes with miso soup which is pretty standard. The Don bowl is impressive with a lot of beef and onions all throughout the bowl. The beef is very tender, flavorful and slightly peppery. It wasn't spicy so I asked for something to go on top. The owner came by and gave me some chili oil and togarashi. This dish has pretty good flavor. Cold noodles - this dish is truly cold and a little strange to get used to at first..but the flavor is pretty good. It does come with a slightly spicy paste on the interior side of the bowl if you want to make it spicy. The owner described it as slightly less spicy than wasabi. Kids bento - fried chicken thighs with white rice and snap peas....a fairly healthy meal. Tips for owner/manager - the water is terrible here, wish they had low sodium soy sauce option on the tables, seating is limited, check expiration dates on your sauces and condiments on a regular basis as my chili oil was expired. read more

Really can't say enough good things about this restaurant! It's a quaint little place in Cypress but the food is a powerhouse. We tried sooo many items of the menu. Pics attached of what I remembered to capture. Truly notable calamari, salmon sushi is divine and spicy edamame, we inhaled the spicy gyoza, and the cutest kids bento box! I was shopping in the area at Costco (which is a 6 min drive) I got unagi don and yakuniku bento box. Both were solid options! The store was warm and inviting, plenty of parking, staff was warm as well. I would definitely make a stop if im shopping at the outlet mall. 10/10 would return! read more

Ate here for lunch, and was not disappointed at all! Very delicious bento that is freshly made. The chicken katsu was fried wonderfully, not over fried like many other places. The beef yakiniku was very tasty to me, but my husband thought it had a little too much onion for him. I had no such complaint. We also had the rock shrimp for an appetizer and don't be fooled by the honey habanero sauce, it is not spicy at all and very delicious. Definitely recommend giving it a try! We also got a passion fruit green tea drink which was not overly sweet and so refreshing with the meal. The server was also very kind and attentive. This place is amazing. We ordered like 5 different dishes and they did not miss on any of them. The Brussel Sprouts were phenomenal. The Beef Yakiniku was superb...Lots of flavor and tender meat with the perfect mix of lean meat and fat. We got some chicken skewers, as well as bacon wrapped tomato and they were both amazing. My picky 2 year old got the Kiddy Box with Chicken Karaage and she loved it (we ate her leftovers and they were delectable.) The prices were more than fair and portions for the meals were plentiful. The owners are very friendly and helpful and willingly answered any questions we had. The dining room is a little small, but immaculately clean and aesthetically pleasing. Place has great reviews, I wasn't blown away. The pork katsu bento box was just ok. Miso soup was not special in my opinion which was strange cause it came with most dinners. Atmosphere was ok also but a little mixed theme feeling. Gets a 4 because the serivice was really sweet and I bet if you were a regular they would treat you like family. The owner operator was super kind to us, my sister in law and my wife ordered 3 different chicken meals, they were all good but the Chicken Karaage was my favorite and we all shared each others meals. We live just a few blocks from here so we are lucky and will be back. I came by for some quick bites since my workplace was nearby and I was NOT disappointed! The person in the front was super helpful with helping me pick what to eat. I ended up getting a lot of appetizers since I like to snack and everything was delicious! I got the Brussels sprouts, chicken karaage, calamari, and Takoyaki. The food was so good I ordered 2 plates of dumplings and nothing to mention the food was so good and well seasoned you don't even need no sauce or nothing and the sauce the do have is the best sauce I have ever had and the price was so low I had about 5 apitizers 2 main corse and 3 desserts and I only had to pay about 70 dollars I can not brag on this place enough and if I could I would rate it higher.
