Orange chicken fried rice and wonton soup
    Jacob A.

So the service here was great no complains the ramen was supper good and the orange chicken was amazing the rice was a little mushy but wasn't terrible and the wonton soup tasted a bit watered down. Everything els was amazing enjoyed some anime shows that they were playing super cool.

Large portions! Hot and fresh so good!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Very clean and friendly staff

The udon noodles with vegetables and the beef is removed

Just tried the udon noodles with angus beef. Boy, let me tell you. Do not and I repeat do not order this dish. I don't know what type of beef this is that they are putting in this dish, but it is not edible. I'm not sure what it is. I took a few bites and spit it out it was so chewy and has zero flavor and the texture was horrible. I removed the so-called beef and ate the noodles with the vegetables which the noodles were fresh but if the beef taste like this in the udon noodle dish, I will never purchase any beef from the establishment. It is the worst beef. I've tasted at an Asian restaurant and that is not an understatement. I was so disappointed. I was disappointed enough that I will not return. The beef is suspect and I'm a leave it at that. can't speak on the other dishes.

    Karaage with rice

Airi Ramen is a hip local ramen joint with several locations around the Houston area. They serve a variety of Japanese dishes including ramen, stir-fried udon, rice bowls (tempura, tonkatsu, teriyaki chicken), poke, and more! Vibe: A good size with lots of seating. Cool interior, artsy mural on the wall. Good casual hang out spot. Service: We had a great attentive server. Food came out pretty quickly, and piping hot. Food: We ordered the basil chicken kaarage, katsu chicken bao, and tonkotsu ramen. The kaarage tasted more like Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and it was delicious! It came right out of the fryer, and the aroma of Chinese five spice and white pepper was intoxicating! It is served with fried thai basil on a small bed of cabbage and shaved carrots, which added extra texture and color. A pretty substantial side of spicy mayo is also included. The chicken was hot, juicy, and tasty! Definitely dip in in the spicy mayo to get to a whole other level. The spicy mayo is tangy, surprisingly flavorful, and has a small mild spicy kick (I think there's some yummy togarashi in there). If you want to elevate further and transcend its status as a great appetizer, order a side of rice and mix it all together - it is phenomenal as its own rice dish! We will likely come back just for that alone. Next, we had the katsu chicken bao. The katsu was piping hot and encased in a bed of lettuce, teriyaki, and spicy mayo between the bao. The flavor combo here is on point, as you get lots of savory from the spicy mayo, chicken katsu, and bun, but also some sweetness from the teriyaki and coolness from the veg. Be careful, these things are addicting! Bao is soft and holds all the ingredients very well, the sauces boost all the flavors, and the katsu is juicy, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. Lastly, we had the tonkotsu ramen. It was OK, but did not blow us away - we have had better at other Houston spots. The noodles were a little overcooked (for ramen), broth felt like it was lacking in depth and the flavor was monotone, chashu was a strip of pork belly that was a little tough and not circular or well marinated, mushrooms were a bit tough and mostly stems. Overall, the food here is phenomenal, and you should definitely give this spot a try - especially the rice dishes and appetizers. We will definitely be coming back for that basil chicken kaarage and katsu chicken bao! Maybe try another Houston spot if you're looking for ramen. Airi ramen is Let's Eat Houston approved

It's been a while since we've been here. They have certainly spruced up the place. It looks great, with anime running on TVs on one side of the restaurant and a large Japanese mural on the other. They have many items on their menu in addition to ramen, including poke bowls, and yaki udon. We tried out their tonkotsu ramen and spicy miso ramen. Portions were decent, prices were about average, and taste was good but not among the best we have had.

Wet bag from the soup can that soaked my pants
    Tylor T.

I had a very terrible experience. I ordered to-go and they punched holes in the soup can and it soaked my pants. The calamari was like old squid, and it was so tiny that you almost ate flour instead of squid. The egg rolls were very oily. For the $20 I paid for this meal today, I felt like it was leftovers. I felt horrible and have no words for how disappointing this restaurant was. I ordered on Yelp and waited for 25 minutes! NEVER RETURN!

    S7. Katsu Pork Bao
    Angelica F.

I adore this little restaurant, especially for playing a variety of Anime on each of their TVs. I can't believe there wasn't more people inside! Calamari is yummy, cooked nicely and the texture really got to shine with the thicker cuts. People mess this dish up all the time, but here it's worth a try. The Pork Katsu Bao is a must have, extremely fresh but more importantly the fry on the pork was perfect, paired with the salad mix and spicy mayo it's just heaven in a bun. I haven't had ramen from a restaurant before, but the Spicy Miso was satisfying. The spice wasn't overpowering, just enough to give a comforting tingle and the egg was quite nice too. If you're on the fence about dropping by, just go for it! I doubt you'll regret it.

I've been here 3 times and each time was a hit! Located to the far right of the H‑E‑B in Fairfield next to Orange Theory, Airi Ramen is a great option for those looking for great ramen locally or a meat plate! On my visits I've had the: Pork katsu - Circa 12/2020, not sure if the portion size is the same in 2022. Nonetheless, the meal was excellent and the pork was very crispy and dipping sauce was excellent! Tonkasu ramen Circa 5/2022 - excellent broth, tender meat, great noodles. Portion size was great. Spicy miso ramen Circa 5/2022 - my favorite! Spicy but not too spicy! Definitely has a kick and makes you sweat a little. Tender meat and great noodles as usual. If you are looking for ramen option in Cypress, give Airi a try!

They seemed a little nervous or reserved, but they were still very nice to us and it didn't take away from my experience. And one thing I can tell you for sure: if you order tea or water, you WILL get a refill. They do not believe in a half empty glass! Every time my drink started getting even remotely low, someone was already coming over to refill it. I honestly loved how attentive they were about that. Must order items besides the ramen are the Brussels sprouts tempura, edamame, and the shrimp tempura. I have also tried their miso eggplant appetizer which was good but I do wish that the eggplant was sliced evenly throughout the dish so that it would have the same texture throughout the entire dish. I'm proud that they have servers of this caliber at Asian restaurants in Houston, TX. Usually you see professional servers at upscale restaurants. There was a busboy there towards the end, and even he was super professional. Whoever the manager is at this location, you guys are doing an outstanding job training the staff here. Keep up the good work! 2. Price - about $15/bowl. 3. Ambiance - The decor here is beautiful. There are natural lighting from the front, with wood panels everywhere, lanterns hung high. They did a nice job decorating the place and you definitely feel as if you're in Japan somewhere. 4. Food - This is where this place shines compare to all the ramen places in Houston. They have the option of low sodium broth. I took one sip, and it felt like home cooked Ramen. I'm not talking about instant ramen that you buy from the store, but the ramen made from scratch. I often go to ramen places in Houston and I dread going because I know how salty they taste. There are 2 other locations I have in mind in Houston that are also my favorites. But I would say this is not bad compared to the bowl of ramen I had in Narita, Japan. If you're wondering what I've ordered, it was the CHICKEN RICH RAMEN and make sure to request for low sodium. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area is well kept, clean, and the busboy is on top of things. The restroom is questionable. The personal restroom doors are hard to close and lock. For management, have a look at the restrooms and see if you can improve things. SUMMARY: I would definitely come back. It is just THAT GOOD!

Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Service and Employee Conduct…read more On Thursday, August 13, 2026, I visited your restaurant with six other family members to celebrate my grandson's birthday. As the first person in our party to arrive, I was seated immediately. Unfortunately, the waitress assigned to our table was neither friendly nor welcoming. When the rest of our party arrived, the waitress took our orders. Everyone except myself and the other grandmother ordered the "all-you-can-eat" option. We chose to order à la carte because we both had prior lunch engagements and did not intend to eat a large meal. Almost immediately, the waitress stated, "You cannot share plates with the other diners in your party who ordered all-you-can-eat." I was appalled by the assumption and asked her what made her think we intended to eat from anyone else's plates. Her comment was extremely insulting and made us feel as though she was accusing us of intending to take food for which we had not paid. Unfortunately, her attitude continued throughout the meal and created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere during what was supposed to be a special family celebration. Despite the poor service, we paid our bill and still left a very generous tip. However, the situation became even more disturbing. As we were exiting the restaurant , my granddaughter realized that her iPod was missing. We immediately returned to our table and searched for it but could not locate it. My son-in-law then used the tracking feature on the device, which indicated that the iPod was still inside the restaurant. We approached the manager and explained the situation. The manager asked the waitress whether she had seen the iPod. To our surprise, she had the iPod in her possession and immediately returned it to us. Given the circumstances, I found this extremely troubling. Earlier in the evening, the waitress had expressed concern about the possibility of our sharing food that we had not paid for. Yet, by the end of the evening, she was in possession of my granddaughter's property without notifying us that she had found it or making any apparent effort to return it. Whether the iPod was intentionally withheld or simply found and not promptly reported, the circumstances were deeply concerning and left us feeling uncomfortable and distrustful. An employee should never leave a customer questioning the safety or security of their personal belongings. This experience completely overshadowed what should have been a joyful family celebration. Based on the treatment we received and the circumstances surrounding my granddaughter's missing iPod, I will not patronize this restaurant again. I am sharing this experience as a warning to other customers and strongly encourage management to review this incident, including the waitress's conduct and the handling of my granddaughter's property. Customers deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and confident that their belongings are safe while dining at your establishment.
