Our new favorite Japanese in cypress. We ordered chicken Ramen, beef fried rice and Shaggy Dog roll. Everything turned out excellent especially the fried rice really stand out vs other places. Our server Travis was friendly, fast and helpful. Prices are reasonable too. We'll be back soon read more

I stopped by on my way home for a late lunch early dinner. The cucumber salad is very tasty with an amazing sauce. Not spicy at all but very flavorful. Definitely a great appetizer. The 72 Hour Beef Ramen has Broth: pork broth; Topping: Angus beef, green onion, sweet onion, fishcake, bamboo shoots, season egg, shiitake mushroom, red onion. It's a good flavored broth. Definitely a good choice for a rainy afternoon. Service is great and fast. It was late afternoon so they were not busy. I am a Ramen fanatic and this is a good dish, just not best ever. I would still go back and order it again and add spice bomb to give it kick. read more

I go here a lot, always average. There are better places in Cypress but this place is close to my house. I usually get the spicy miso and extra noodles. read more

I tried this place because their prices for a bowl of ramen are a bit more reasonable then the more famous one that has name recognition. I enjoyed their basic ramen noodle bowl, the service was good and the location was convenient. read more

Just tried the udon noodles with angus beef. Boy, let me tell you. Do not and I repeat do not order this dish. I don't know what type of beef this is that they are putting in this dish, but it is not edible. I'm not sure what it is. I took a few bites and spit it out it was so chewy and has zero flavor and the texture was horrible. I removed the so-called beef and ate the noodles with the vegetables which the noodles were fresh but if the beef taste like this in the udon noodle dish, I will never purchase any beef from the establishment. It is the worst beef. I've tasted at an Asian restaurant and that is not an understatement. I was so disappointed. I was disappointed enough that I will not return. The beef is suspect and I'm a leave it at that. can't speak on the other dishes. read more

Airi Ramen - The udon noodles with vegetables and the beef is removed - Ramen Near Me - Cypress, Texas

Airi Ramen is a hip local ramen joint with several locations around the Houston area. They serve a variety of Japanese dishes including ramen, stir-fried udon, rice bowls (tempura, tonkatsu, teriyaki chicken), poke, and more! Vibe: A good size with lots of seating. Cool interior, artsy mural on the wall. Good casual hang out spot. Service: We had a great attentive server. Food came out pretty quickly, and piping hot. Food: We ordered the basil chicken kaarage, katsu chicken bao, and tonkotsu ramen. The kaarage tasted more like Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and it was delicious! It came right out of the fryer, and the aroma of Chinese five spice and white pepper was intoxicating! It is served with fried thai basil on a small bed of cabbage and shaved carrots, which added extra texture and color. A pretty substantial side of spicy mayo is also included. The chicken was hot, juicy, and tasty! Definitely dip in in the spicy mayo to get to a whole other level. The spicy mayo is tangy, surprisingly flavorful, and has a small mild spicy kick (I think there's some yummy togarashi in there). If you want to elevate further and transcend its status as a great appetizer, order a side of rice and mix it all together - it is phenomenal as its own rice dish! We will likely come back just for that alone. Next, we had the katsu chicken bao. The katsu was piping hot and encased in a bed of lettuce, teriyaki, and spicy mayo between the bao. The flavor combo here is on point, as you get lots of savory from the spicy mayo, chicken katsu, and bun, but also some sweetness from the teriyaki and coolness from the veg. Be careful, these things are addicting! Bao is soft and holds all the ingredients very well, the sauces boost all the flavors, and the katsu is juicy, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. Lastly, we had the tonkotsu ramen. It was OK, but did not blow us away - we have had better at other Houston spots. The noodles were a little overcooked (for ramen), broth felt like it was lacking in depth and the flavor was monotone, chashu was a strip of pork belly that was a little tough and not circular or well marinated, mushrooms were a bit tough and mostly stems. Overall, the food here is phenomenal, and you should definitely give this spot a try - especially the rice dishes and appetizers. We will definitely be coming back for that basil chicken kaarage and katsu chicken bao! Maybe try another Houston spot if you're looking for ramen. Airi ramen is Let's Eat Houston approved read more

It's been a while since we've been here. They have certainly spruced up the place. It looks great, with anime running on TVs on one side of the restaurant and a large Japanese mural on the other. They have many items on their menu in addition to ramen, including poke bowls, and yaki udon. We tried out their tonkotsu ramen and spicy miso ramen. Portions were decent, prices were about average, and taste was good but not among the best we have had. read more

Shocked on the tastelessness of the food. It was bland, dry. We had high hopes but the experience was very disappointing. Service and food both left much to be desired. read more

I had a very terrible experience. I ordered to-go and they punched holes in the soup can and it soaked my pants. The calamari was like old squid, and it was so tiny that you almost ate flour instead of squid. The egg rolls were very oily. For the $20 I paid for this meal today, I felt like it was leftovers. I felt horrible and have no words for how disappointing this restaurant was. I ordered on Yelp and waited for 25 minutes! NEVER RETURN! read more

Awesome food! And great service! I've never experienced this great of service! It was nice clean and the ambiance was calm with Anime playing on the TV! read more

I adore this little restaurant, especially for playing a variety of Anime on each of their TVs. I can't believe there wasn't more people inside! Calamari is yummy, cooked nicely and the texture really got to shine with the thicker cuts. People mess this dish up all the time, but here it's worth a try. The Pork Katsu Bao is a must have, extremely fresh but more importantly the fry on the pork was perfect, paired with the salad mix and spicy mayo it's just heaven in a bun. I haven't had ramen from a restaurant before, but the Spicy Miso was satisfying. The spice wasn't overpowering, just enough to give a comforting tingle and the egg was quite nice too. If you're on the fence about dropping by, just go for it! I doubt you'll regret it. read more

Authentic and delicious Today I enjoyed a very tasty lunch at #airiramencypress . Airi Ramen has great selection of food even for vegetarians. I loved their small bite: spicy cucumber a unique combination of special airi spice mix and cucumber is delicious. Restaurant Ambience is unique too. Restaurant had #naruto rerun ON their TV which makes us think of Ichiraku Ramen and Naruto enjoying his ramen (Anime lovers you know what I am talking about), which brings me to the topic of ramen. Airi has very interesting selections of ramen, I tried vegetable ramen. It was very delicious. read more

Not terrible, but not good. I have eaten here before a few years ago and it was not like this. I ordered the Happy Ramen with chicken and pork katsu... It was neither. There were two thin chicken cutlets cooked on a flat top and a thick cut piece of bacon. It was like a Waffle House ramen. The ramen noodles were thin spaghetti noodles and the broth seemed pre-made. If you were looking to make Japanese ramen from American grocery ingredients, here it is... Was it bad? No. Was it good? No. Will I be back? No. read more

The food is delicious! I brought my boys here and we ordered the Spicy miso Ramen, my other son ordered the 72 hour Ramen. I've been here 3 times and each time was a hit! Located to the far right of the H‑E‑B in Fairfield next to Orange Theory, Airi Ramen is a great option for those looking for great ramen locally or a meat plate! On my visits I've had the: Pork katsu - Circa 12/2020, not sure if the portion size is the same in 2022. Nonetheless, the meal was excellent and the pork was very crispy and dipping sauce was excellent! Tonkasu ramen Circa 5/2022 - excellent broth, tender meat, great noodles. Portion size was great. Spicy miso ramen Circa 5/2022 - my favorite! Spicy but not too spicy! Definitely has a kick and makes you sweat a little. Tender meat and great noodles as usual. If you are looking for ramen option in Cypress, give Airi a try! read more

Cute ramen shop in Fairfield. The ramen was super yummy and came out quick. I ordered an extra egg and some spice on the side, since they don't offer spicy tonkotsu. The spice made the broth taste just right. The only thing that I wasn't 100% great about was surprisingly the eggs. They just didn't taste like eggs usually do. I will definitely be back as this is the best ramen I have found in Cypress so far. read more

Great food every time!! This food makes me want to go skydiving out of an airplane into a lake while holding an egg in my mouth.

If it weren't for the wonton soup I had with my meal, I would have only given two stars, but the wonton soup was delicious! We ordered tempura shrimp as an appetizer, it was basically a plate of tempura batter. The same theme appeared in my entree, Chicken Katsu. Again, too much of the crispy batter, not enough meat. The vegetables that came with my entree were not good. The only way to describe the flavor was "stinky". I probably should have tried the ramen, however I don't think I will be back to do that... Some of the staff were very friendly and seemingly genuine, but we didn't particularly good service. Oh well, now I know... So do you! read more

This place is a gem in the Cypress area. We ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and orange chicken based on the staff's recommendation. The ramen wasn't too salty, which can be hard to find, and the orange chicken definitely had a more complex flavor profile than your standard orange chicken. I believe the chef themselves came out to make sure everything was to our liking. The interior is very well decorated, with J-pop and anime playing on various screens. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

I ate here and the ramen was disgusting. The service was very slow and not attentive. The restaurant is very clean and nice, but the food is subpar at best. The best thing on the menu is the sweet chili chicken. i informed the manager that I didn't like the food I literally only took 2 bites and they told me "well people like the food so you have to pay". Very unprofessional and very disappointing. Will not be going back! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by before going to the outlet mall. The reviews were mixed but we just took a chance. The inside is super cool, and the painting on the wall was super dope. They had multiple tvs which were playing anime, so that was a major plus. We got an appetizer, gyoza. It was crispy and juicy. We both got the tonkotsu ramen. I got an extra egg and my bf got extra noodles. It's a bit pricey. The broth wasn't very flavorful and the noodles seemed more chewy and didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, not the best ramen place we've been to. read more

Disappointing. All around. From the service, to the food to the deteriorated furniture. We ordered the Karage chicken; vegetables had no flavor basically blandly steamed, the rice that came with it was mushy/chewy. The part that made me the most disappointed was the pork belly bao; sooo dry, thin, and only one see through piece. When I showed the waiter and told him I would not want it he said it's wasteful to return the dish and that he would no be able to give me my refund fully. I just asked him to take it; payed them bill and left. Y'all don't waste your time or money. read more

My son with his international palette came down from A&M to meet us at the Cypress Outlets and for lunch Sunday What a great find!! Wow! I thought my eyes were just bigger than my stomach but the proportions were huge! I ermmmm ordered a bit too much . This is lunch And dinner! All so good and fresh! The space is in a strip center but has a stand alone restaurant vibe. Very cute little place. If you're hitting the Outlets and get hungry I highly recommend! Just check out these food pics. I dug into my chicken wonton soup before pics (we were starving!) but it's excellent! Worth the up charge on the entrées! Needless to say I have three meals from my order. read more

My mom, sister, and I went to go try this small ramen place while running some errands in the Fairfield area.
