Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Service and Employee Conduct On Thursday, August 13, 2026, I visited your restaurant with six other family members to celebrate my grandson's birthday. As the first person in our party to arrive, I was seated immediately. Unfortunately, the waitress assigned to our table was neither friendly nor welcoming. When the rest of our party arrived, the waitress took our orders. Everyone except myself and the other grandmother ordered the "all-you-can-eat" option. We chose to order à la carte because we both had prior lunch engagements and did not intend to eat a large meal. Almost immediately, the waitress stated, "You cannot share plates with the other diners in your party who ordered all-you-can-eat." I was appalled by the assumption and asked her what made her think we intended to eat from anyone else's plates. Her comment was extremely insulting and made us feel as though she was accusing us of intending to take food for which we had not paid. Unfortunately, her attitude continued throughout the meal and created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere during what was supposed to be a special family celebration. Despite the poor service, we paid our bill and still left a very generous tip. However, the situation became even more disturbing. As we were exiting the restaurant , my granddaughter realized that her iPod was missing. We immediately returned to our table and searched for it but could not locate it. My son-in-law then used the tracking feature on the device, which indicated that the iPod was still inside the restaurant. We approached the manager and explained the situation. The manager asked the waitress whether she had seen the iPod. To our surprise, she had the iPod in her possession and immediately returned it to us. Given the circumstances, I found this extremely troubling. Earlier in the evening, the waitress had expressed concern about the possibility of our sharing food that we had not paid for. Yet, by the end of the evening, she was in possession of my granddaughter's property without notifying us that she had found it or making any apparent effort to return it. Whether the iPod was intentionally withheld or simply found and not promptly reported, the circumstances were deeply concerning and left us feeling uncomfortable and distrustful. An employee should never leave a customer questioning the safety or security of their personal belongings. This experience completely overshadowed what should have been a joyful family celebration. Based on the treatment we received and the circumstances surrounding my granddaughter's missing iPod, I will not patronize this restaurant again. I am sharing this experience as a warning to other customers and strongly encourage management to review this incident, including the waitress's conduct and the handling of my granddaughter's property. Customers deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and confident that their belongings are safe while dining at your establishment. read more

Sushi Haya has one of the best lunch AYCE menu and food quality. Staffs always friendly and service is quick. Love the beef tataki, beef and shrimp teriyaki, all the rolls are good. Rice portion in a piece of sushi is medium size, so wont make you feel full too early. A great place to go with friends and family. Restaurant is spacious, looks cool. Very enjoyable experience read more

sushi haya is such a good sushi place! the atmosphere is nice, and they usually have great service! the only time we had a bad experience was with the service, but there was a table of 15 next to us, so that sums it up. the salmon is always fresh and melts in your mouth, along with the delicious broth of the clear soup! i recommend doing the all you can eat, as the price is good and there are plenty of options! read more

This place can get busy, we had a short wait for a table for two on a Saturday night. There isn't much waiting space so good luck. They have an all you can eat option but we chose to just order sushi off the menu. Ordered a couple drinks from the bar and we did not care for them. The sushi was good, rolls are pretty good portions. It was very loud inside and lots of kids so definitely not the atmosphere we were hoping for on a date night. Food was good so might give it another try. read more

Food is great and staff is friendly. Love the cat robot that delivers to the table. We've never had an issue and go there often!

Looks like they're about to add Korean barbecue to their menu since all the tables appear to now have small grills. AYCE is always a win but we did find out there are stipulations for the free birthday dinner for each restaurant. read more

Love this restaurant! My family had dinner here last night and it was so delicious! They always tease me on how much food I can eat here! My friend at work always orders all you can eat and says how delicious her food is every time she visits. The owners are very attentive making sure our experience is 5 stars! read more

I have mixed reviews about our visit and it's mainly hygienic ones. We ordered the all you can eat and made our selections. Food took a while (longer than other similar places) We went mid day during the week so they had maybe a total of 3 tables. First concern, they brought our food to a different table, set it down and walked away. The man looked confused as he used his fork to "pick" through one of our dishes. When the waiter realized what he had done, he went back to that table, picked up those plates and brought them to us. Um, no sir. No offense, but I'm not about to eat something you picked up from someone else's table after they picked through it. Second concern, if you are delivering sauces to a table and your finger is submerged in one of those sauces you are dropping off, do not lick your finger! Third and final straw was sitting there watching him merge the soy sauces without washing the containers and when he dropped the stainless steel top to one of them it rolled under a little cart, this man sat there and picked it up and screwed it back on the soy sauce glass container that he was putting back on the tables. At this point, I had to say something to him. I said "are you seriously not going to wash that? That's disgusting." He giggled and said "oh yeah, ha ha" as he proceeded to unscrew the cap and walk away. I was completely disgusted with just looking at all the health code violations that were going on around me. As far as the food goes, I would probably give it at 3, (considering we never even got one of the dishes we ordered) the ambience is "ok" but the biggest turn off and the reason I will never come back is how dirty this place is. Even the little robot was sticky lol. That's a hard pass for me. read more

Went here on the weekends for lunch and there was no wait for our table of 7! Service was very welcoming and patient. The sushi rolls themselves had too much rice for my preference. The individual rolls were huge - not what I'm used to. The ratio for rice and fish/filling was a bit off and I didn't like that as much. Their side dishes though were a complete hit! Calamari, crab rangoon, shrimp/chicken tempura, yaki udon, fried rice - literally every side dish we ordered was delicious! I also got the fried oreos with green tea ice cream and that was also super yummy! Overall 4/5 stars just because the sushi itself wasn't as good as the other dishes. It was just okay sushi for me. I would go back though and try the other dishes I didn't try this time. I will also say a roll by itself a la carte is $12+ and it's only 8 pieces as opposed to others that are around 10. You'd get more bang for your buck doing the AYCE anyways. read more

Upon entering, this place smells so nice! No fishy smell whatsoever, just a light, clean scent that's so pleasant. We were seated immediately at 1PM and perused the menu. This is my third AYCE sushi joint, and I'll definitely say this location has some things that may surprise you (ramen for example), but may also be missing others that you may not expect (especially in the roll department). The Bad: *I did not enjoy the Orange roll at all. Very one-note, which is just spice, and there is nothing there to help with the texture - a huge letdown. *The eel was probably the worst I have had. Small portions, cold, and hard. I am used to eel that melts in your mouth in a size that covers your sushi rice. The okay: *Coconut shrimp - while it was a surprising addition, it was average and lacked seasoning and was slightly dry, but still nice to have. *Crab Rangoon - it has more going for it than other places, but was definitely not memorable. *Gyoza - while the filling is more flavorful, I prefer a gyoza that has more crispness to it. *Spicy Kani Salad - the crab is thicker than others I have had, with cucumber pieces mixed in - I found it a bit soupy but I still enjoyed the flavor and liked how light it was. The AWW YEAH: *Fried rice - it is cooked perfectly and the vegetables are cooked so well with generous egg and protein. So well done, one of my favorite fried rices in this area. *Tiger Eye - one bite and you will be hooked. I can't even explain it. This is the ONLY warm sushi roll I have ever enjoyed. Our waiter could have been more attentive and the service was slower than I am used to. I loved the decor, though! Overall, the Tiger Eye and Fried Rice MAY be enough to bring me back, but Sumo Sushi remains my go-to. read more

Unbeatable, unlimited sushi experience!! If you're a sushi lover and enthusiast, this place is an absolute gem. The best bang for your buck is the "All you can eat for $29.95". The only drawbacks to this deal, and they tell you upfront, is there is no take out bag, you can't waste the food or they will charge you extra, 2 hour limit, and no sharing, no leftovers. I went with my boyfriend and we both did the all you can eat deal and we were allowed to share our food between us. I think because we both got the deal, they allow it. There is so much variety in the menu and the quality is so good!! Unlike other unlimited sushi restaurants, the quality just isn't there but not at Sushi Haya. I ordered the Miso soup, probably one of each appetizer, shrimp fried rice (which is hibatchi style), and the tiger eye roll. There is even dessert! The service was fast and friendly, and they made sure we were always taken care of without feeling rushed. The atmosphere was relaxed yet modern, I loved all of the decor! They have a cute wishing wall by the front door where you can write a wish down on a little plaque and they hang it for you. There was even a proposal next to us! Easily one of the best sushi spots I've been to - I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I am not sure if this is a new location or just newer in comparison to the one off of 249 but wow it is really big and beautiful on the inside. There is a massive bar on the left side and a huge sushi style kitchen on the front side opposite the entrance. On the far right side they have a very similar Japanese style wallpaper like their other location. But that is where the similarities to the other location end. Because I have previously really enjoyed the experience dining at Sushi Haya's 249 location, I decided that we would have a similar experience. I took my nephew for lunch as a treat for his excellent academic record for the last round of tests. Unfortunately the food and service paled in comparison to the other location. I have to give credit where credit is due so let me mention the things that we thoroughly enjoyed. The seaweed salad, the salmon, and the eel roll were incredible! The seaweed salad had the taste similar to a fine dining sushi establishment. A very well balanced ratio of the acid from the vinegar and the end notes of sesame oil. The eel sushi was also very good, although I did find a very large bone in mine. While it's common to find some small bones, I think this was the larges bone fragment that I have encountered in my eel. And lastly the best part was the salmon sashimi. Extremely fatty and juicy pieces. We ended up ordering a total of 6 pieces of these because the salmon sashimi was practically melting in our mouths. Another honorable mention goes to the spicy tuna roll. Now onto the not so fun parts of our experience. When we ordered I had ordered 2 miso soups, a salad, 2 orders of the shrimp tempura, 1 order of the coconut shrimp, fried calamari, and edamame. For drinks we both got a coke. All the fried food tasted lukewarm to almost cold. The shrimp tempura had way too much coating and breading on top and it was almost too dense. The dipping sauce was enjoyable though and helped us finish the plate. Because of their "extra charges" will apply policy for unfinished food we powered through and finished this as well. The coconut shrimp tasted ok. The edamame was saltier than normal and once again also cold. We ordered the tiger eye, shaggy dog, and spicy tuna. The tiger eye and shaggy dog had WAY TOO much spicy mayo and really masked any and all taste of the ingredients so there was no way of knowing what it was actually that we were eating. The tempura batter fried on top of both of them tasted stale and had a slightly unpleasant smell of old oil being reused. Thankfully we had asked our server to bring us some wasabi and ginger to palette through this portion of our meal. The spicy tuna was good and really made up for the other two rolls. But the worst part was the dessert. The fried oreos tasted like they were fried either the night before in a gallon of oil and left to soak. We tried to cut one with our spoon but it had formed an oil bubble and would not cut. It was rather difficult to eat this without tasting the oily taste instead of the oreo and the batter. The green tea ice cream was also unmemorable. It didn't taste like the green tea that I am used to eating at the other Sushi Haya location. Overall, I would say if you are coming to this location, do not order any of the fried items. And stay away from anything with too much mayo. Your best bet would be to eat the sashimi, nigiri, and the items without any of the cooked options. read more

This sushi restaurant truly exceeded my expectations! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the salmon practically melted in my mouth. The sushi rice had the perfect texture as well. Absolutely no disappointments here -- I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese food! read more

I came here to eat with my friend when this place first opened. All you can eat! I would recommend thisbplace if you can really throw down sushi or its not rrally worth the all you can eat bloroce if you can only eat one or 2 rolls. You might as well just stick with buying each roll and saving the extra $. Great idea though! Service was friendly but not the quickest. Could have been due to them just opening at the time. Really great atmosphere for families to come and enjoy sushi. Wouldnt say it was the best sushi i have ever had but not bad at all. Would recommend to visit if you are nearby. read more

This was our 4th time here, we weren't impressed with its inconsistency. First time was decent, second with bad quality fish, third time was good, 4th time with disappointing service. This location is very close to home, so we decide to give them more opportunities to redeem themselves. However, we probably won't be back as we prefer to be treated well with customer service and consistent food. Food: their food quality seems to be decent during lunch time and disappointing at dinner time. I understand the fish quality for a mediocre sushi place as compared to places with higher quality fish. However, the sushi portion is disappointing as you order more during an AYCE. This shouldn't be the case for AYcE sushi place. The chef shouldn't decide on the size of the nigiri based on the customers amount of time of ordering. Beef tartare, salmon, eel, salmon in mango, peppercorn tuna are my favorite. However, food taste and quality is inconsistent, so count your luck if you expect the food to taste good all the time. Service: this was our 4th time here, the waiter and waitress always forgot our miso soup. We had to remind them twice to have it out every time . Service discrimination, for an Asian establishment, I don't understand why the waitress treats White and Chinese people better than other races. She neglected our table, didn't care where she places the plates down, ignored us until we asked to be taken care of, never pay attention to clean up the plates after we finished, expecting us to hand her the plates. We have no problem cleaning everything ourselves if she didn't expect for service charges. We couldn't enjoy the food as we had to constantly tell them how to do their jobs. Ambiance: it's a nice restaurant with newly decorated interior design. I like the light fixture and booth seatings. It's comfortable seats with enough spaces between each tables. There's a beautiful bar and chefs setting in the back where you can see them working. I like their open concept. Hygiene: restroom needs major clean up. The woman restroom's lock didn't work. Odor are disgusting and my little ones couldn't handle anymore minutes inside. If the overall restaurant restroom aren't clean; I wonder how the chef and staffs can safely perform proper hand hygiene to prevent contamination of the food?! read more

We enjoyed our experience at Sushi Haya. I got the AYCE (all you care to eat) menu and my wife ordered a-la-carte since she wasn't too hungry. The taste & quality of the food was great. But the staff seemed to be stretched thin so we had longer waits to order, get drink refills, and order additional items from the AYCE menu. Otherwise, everything was really good. The AYCE menu & experience are good, but not as great as the Sushi Ichii at I-10 & Westgreen Blvd (20900 Katy Fwy, Katy, TX 77449) which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everyone!! read more

Food was soooo good. Such a good bang for your buck! I love coming on week nights so it's not so overwhelmingly busy.

Wow, very impressed with this place in multiple ways. This restaurant has lots of seating and looks quite fancy. Enter the restaurant and you're greeted by wooden Japanese Ema signs. Hang out with a giant Pikachu while waiting to be seated. Admire the Japanese lanterns and art adorning the walls. And watch out for those robots delivering food! We were here for lunch on a Friday. They have a lunch menu that's available during weekdays. There are many options available: Sushi, Bento, Udon, Ramen, and even an option for "All You Can Eat" sushi! What was even more surprising are the prices! $10 for a Chicken Katsu bento in a place like this? Unheard of in this area post-pandemic. We tried the Chicken Katsu and Yaki Udon ($9). Quantity was very reasonable for the price, and it was delicious. Service was decent but they missed little things like having chopsticks and napkins on our table. This place has only open for a month, the servers were quite busy, so we'll give them a pass for this. This place gets an easy 5 stars. We'll be back! read more

The amount of times my family come here is enough to support a small family in some other country ... I'd say they're my favorite AYCE sushi in the area. My picky kid eats the most when we come here. I highly recommend The Conroe and their sashimi especially the salmon and tuna. Their ramen used to be SO good, but they changed something the last few months (especially the noodle itself) that it just isn't as great. Service is always swift and friendly. All their items are pretty good. I'm only taking away one star because their music can be SOOOO loud more often than not. I'm talking about my ear drums hurt. We once brought some friends over and they also couldn't believe how loud the music is. All in all, it's still a good spot for either lunch or dinner. read more

Went today and had a really bad experience. Walking in the hostess was walking us to the table and just put the menus down and kept walking then proceeded to talk to the coworkers, so me and my girlfriend were confused wether or not we were supposed to sit there or not. Then the waitress comes in a bad mood and gives us attitude on what we wanted to do of AYCE or Lunch special. Once we ordered our food and drinks she proceeded to place all the food on the other half of the table where we weren't seated and expected us to reach over and grab our food and drinks when nothing was in front of us then just walks away without saying anything. Pretty good AYCE sushi place (with a normal menu too). The options for dinner are great, and my personal favorites were the beef short ribs, chicken habachi, and volcano roll. Of course I did not try everything, but overall food was solid (some rolls are delicious, some are heavy and not very fresh) . I would not say this is the top AYCE sushi I've had, but it's a solid choice. Stay away from the jalapeno poppers and keep ordering some short ribs with your sushi. We came to Sushi Haya again for dinner this time. Enjoyed it for lunch a few weeks ago and dinner was just as good. I really like the spicy kani salad. I don't eat raw sushi, but my partner really likes their surf and turf roll. I had the Lake Charles roll and loved it. The super crunchy roll was good, but nothing fancy. The real reason I come are the tempura fried Oreos. I'm not a fan of regular fried Oreos, but these are absolutely amazing. They melt in your mouth. Get them with ice cream.
