The new owners are very friendly, but the food is lackluster. Pho is all about the soup base and theirs is lacking flavor. They kept the old pricing, but the portions have been cut in half. Probably one of the best broths I've tried in the East Bay. The chicken banh mi, however, fell flat. The chicken didn't have the usual grilled, bbq flavor I'm used to. The Pho, consisting of beef and chicken noodle soup with homemade broth, is great as are the appetizers and rice plates. The Ban Xeo (Sizzling Crepe) and Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwiches are also very good. I like the Thai Tea and Vietnamese iced coffee. The dining area is intimate and very clean. The broth is full of a complexity of flavors, and the delicately sliced beef has the perfect chew. New ownership.. last time I went with my two boys I ordered my usual xl stuff pho. When I got it, the portion. Was smaller than I normally would ordered. And the coconut drink I ordered they put it in the water cup not in a nice cup. The old owner would give us scissors for my two kids. And last thing I ordered egg with rice and they charge me $8. Small family run business in a random strip mall. There's not many tables inside, 6 in total and a couple tables outside. I ordered the medium #28 pho with well done meat and meatballs. The bowl was on the smaller end so if you're super hungry get the Large. the broth was decent for the area, the noodles felt a bit overcooked and not springy anymore, and the well done meat basically disintegrated into my broth and noodles lol there was legit nothing to pick up with my chopsticks. The meatballs were decent and they barely gave any veggies. Overall as a whole it wasn't bad but I think there could have been more meat and veggies for sure. They do not have a credit card system set up yet, so expect to pay via Venmo or Zelle or cash. I was a regular under the previous ownership.
