We were searching for Pho and stumbled upon Pho Saigon. The food was really good and hit the spot. We ended up getting the chicken pho, grilled pork sandwich (banh mi), and veggie rolls, which were all really good. For takeout the pho was deconstructed and allowed you to put the amount of each ingredient and is perfect to save for the next day. The only thing that stood out is the price of the meals were different than the online menu. For example the grilled pork sandwich said it was $5.95 online and they charged $7.99, the veggie rolls were the same price, and the Pho chicken was $10.95 online and they charged $14.98. I'm not sure if they typically up charge for To-go orders, but it would be nice to have some transparency on price differences. Overall great and quick service, only took 10 minutes! read more

Really like the broth of this Pho, and the prices are lower than some other restaurants without lowering the quality or taking away from the quantity. The BanhMi is also a winner. I have very high standards for Vietnamese food because my mom is the best cook I know! Unfortunately, I will be moving away from her and moving to the Milwaukee area soon so while I was touring places in MKE, I thought it would be a good idea to also start finding a place to get Viet food for when I'm missing home! I did a random search and this came up. I came on a Friday night around 7:30 for dinner and they were pretty busy! I got the pho combo and the seafood pho ap chao. I've never heard of pho ap chao before and I don't even believe restaurants serve this in my hometown! It is wide rice noodles that are fried and then served with some delicious sauce with veggies and choice of meat. I think they could have added a bit more seafood to the dish, but it was delicious overall! The sauce was sweet and savory and really was a unique sauce that I've never had before. Now, for the pho review... it was honestly pretty good. I would give it a 7/10. It had a nice deep flavor. A bit on a sweeter end, but definitely not as sweet as some other ones that I've had. Similar to the other dish, I definitely think they could have added a bit more meat to this, but the regular size was more than enough for my appetite. The service was great! I am usually very patient with a family-owned and operated restaurant especially when they are pretty busy, so I didn't really bat an eye. However, they did a great job checking up on us and letting us know they are checking on our dishes when in all honesty, we probably placed our order like 5 minutes before. Who doesn't love a yummy hot bowl of Pho on a cold rainy day? My friends and I been here numerous times and we just keep coming back. This place gets pretty busy even weekdays. They probably have about 15 to 20 tables. I suggest arriving a little earlier if it's possible otherwise you might have to wait a few minutes. I ordered the shrimp spring roll, and Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. The spring roll itself was just like any other restaurant. The dipping sauce was what set it apart from others because it was on the savory side. Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup was decent. I never thought I would say this, but coming from a person who thinks jalapeño is too spicy, I wish the noodle soup was a little spicier. On another note, during my visit this time, my friend, who used the gentleman's restroom almost got stuck twice. This is my go to place for pho so far in Milwaukee. I've only had takeout but it's easy to get to, the portion is large and the broth is great. If you call and for some reason they are unable to answer expect them to call back right so the service is good. Worst customer service but amazing pho. Went to pick up an order of pho and spring rolls and finally remembered to get this gift certificate. Lady behind the counter said she won't take it, it's fake, and to peddle elsewhere. I left annoyed. I called the restaurant after leaving to verify this. The guy that answered said the place changed ownership in 2022, that the new owners will not honor gift certificates, and he apologized for this interaction. This is the worst place to go for Pho! Not only is the place nasty inside and out but so if the food. My wife ordered a bowl of pho with tender loin. Not only was the broth watery it was also flavorless. Pho is supposed to have rich bold flavor but this taste like they take the uneaten soups and just dump them back in the pot, with water to boil and serve. This is hands down the worst Pho in the city! I have tried a lot of places as my wife and I love Pho. Our favorite used to be Pho King in Waukesha, but the sold their restaurant. We ordered some dishes from this restaurant via DoorDash recently because an acquaintance liked the Phở he had at another local restaurant owned by the same people. The two of us just selected three dishes based on customer ratings at DoorDash: Shaken Beef Tenderloin, Bánh Mì with Grilled Pork, and Phở with Meat Balls. Shaken Beef Tenderloin evidently used meat of very good quality that was tender with few chewy parts, and the stir fly dish was very tasty. The grilled pork and pickled vegetables in the Bánh Mì offered a balanced and very pleasing flavor profile, and the baguette was soft and crispy. The vegetables in the Phở were fresh, and the stock was rich and flavorful, although the meat balls were a little bland. We probably should have selected a different meat choice for our Phở, such as tenderloin or well-done brisket. Overall, we liked our food quite a lot. The only downside was the sweetness of the dishes - more than what we would prefer. read more

As someone who just moved from California and had great pho in SF, Garden Grove and LA I am pleasantly surprised by Pho Saigon. Their spring rolls are fresh and chewy (though it does have a lot of noodles in it), great with the sauce. I ordered the pho special, which was also good. I wish the beef slices came rare and you could cook it yourself in the hot soup. The broth was hot, umami and very slightly sweet. Not a lot of depth of flavor but still good. You can't screw up pho too badly, and they certainly didn't. Fragrant and delicious. Love the added Thai basil; some added mint would make it even better. The spring rolls were so fresh. The lemongrass beef was tender, and the serving was generous. The pineapple fried rice was a nice surprise. I've had this at other similar restaurants, and it's usually white rice with canned pineapple chunks mixed in. This was actual fried rice (with the veggies and egg) with pineapple, and it was delicious. The entire order was quality food that we'll get several meals out of. Did a pick up order for lunch. We had the bun thit nuong (pork vermicelli noodle bowl) and then a bowl of the Pho Dac Biet. We've all been here before when they first opened and thought it was decent but heard they had a change in ownership recently so we thought we'd give them a try! The broth of the pho was definitely not what we remembered, definitely lacking flavor. And definitely thought we were cheated on the meat portion. For being a Dac Biet, it sure was lacking the specialty of it. We were all craving the bun thit nuong so three of us got it! We were definitely disappointed and unfortunately it did not satisfy the craving. The pork was dry and the coloring of the meat was too red. The flavor of the meat was not good and it almost tasted as if it was old meat. The eggrolls were also disappointing. Eggroll skin tasted old, as if they used wrapping that sat in the freezer for too long and the filling didn't do it for us. Even the nuoc mam (fish sauce) you use to pour over the noodles barely had any flavor to it. We ordered an avocado smoothie and it wasn't anything special. It came with a boba straw from Bambu though which we thought was strange. Not sure if there's any connection between the owners with bambu but serving your things with a different company's name is kinda weird. Not sure if I'd give it another try. My son and I both ordered the Pho special (nothing special about it) we also got the spring rolls which was nothing but ordinary (not authentic spring rolls), the crab rangoons were alright nothing to rave about. Both sauces for the spring roll and the egg rolls were runny. Made the mistake of ordering their overpriced $8 Thai iced tea with whipped topping again nothing special about it besides the fact that it tasted like a cup of sugar (without mixing in the whipped topping it still tasted overly sweet) I had plans to take to go but after tasting it I left it on the table. We didn't even take our leftovers. This place is OVERPRICED for the kind of quality they're serving. Nothing about what we ordered was authentic. Tasted very watered down to fit the American taste. A very bright, clean restaurant with very friendly staff and yummy pho. We celebrated a friend's birthday in the afternoon, and she picked this restaurant which is her favorite pho place for dinner. It was my first time eating there, and I was impressed! Hubby picked the hue spicy beef noodles and I opted for the pho combo. We also got the fried chicken dumplings for appetizer. Food was brought to table fast! Our dumplings were crispy outside and juicy inside. Most of times I don't order fried dumplings because I am nervous to get sth super oily. But these dumplings were not! They were delicious, especially with the soy sauce that came with them. My pho was flavorful and got everything that you would expect in a good bowl of pho. Perfect amount of food for me. I drank all the soup in my bowl. I also tasted the soup in hubby's bowl - spicy yet flavorful with that nice hint of flavor from lemon grass. The menu has a good amount of options without being overwhelming. I ordered the spring rolls with grilled beef. There was as good amount of beef. It was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the lemongrass chicken and I had the bun bo hue a spicy Vietnamese soup. It was flavored well and not too spicy. And it came with quite a bit of cabbage and mint leaves. We visited Pho Saigon for the first time on a Friday evening around 5:30PM. With no reservation and a party of three, we had no problem finding a table. Our group had limited experience with Vietnamese food, and we had an enjoyable and inexpensive dinner. The customer service was wonderful as well! There was a large parking lot and the location was convenient. I would highly recommend a visit to Pho Saigon. We started off with the spring roll appetizer (A1), which was a decent portion to be shared among three. The spring rolls were light and fresh, and the peanut sauce that accompanied was fantastic. For mains, I went with the Grilled Beef Vermicelli w/Egg Rolls (V2), and my two dining companions chose the Shrimp Mango and Peanut Salad (SL1) and the Pho Well-done Brisket (P5). All the dishes were very well done, with fresh ingredients, and came out so quickly! If I had to choose a favorite, it would be hard between the Shrimp Mango and Peanut Salad and the Pho. Both very different dishes, but both with exceptional flavors. I enjoyed the Beef Vermicelli as well, however the beef reminded me of teriyaki flavors (tasty, but not my favorite). We all left extremely full and satisfied. Our total bill was around $50 for the three of us, which is great for dinner. I loved the food, a little pricey, but it was worth it. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of them keeping things separate until you get home. They put the noodles in a bowl. They put the vegetables in a bag and the broth in a separate to go container. After having some tasty pho I new I had to come back because I like me a Banh mi sandwich probably more than the average person. The place it self is a new remodel from the hot dog place that once was with tables and booths. The place has nicer tables/chairs on new tile floors so it's not bad looking and clean. The staff is very friendly and multiple people try to help you because of how many of them are on the floor. I ordered the 6 inch special Banh mi to try and it looked amazing, see my pictures. I really liked how the meat was sliced a little thicker so the veggie to meat ratio was perfect. The French bread was very fresh with that crunchy crust and a nice soft inside with a little chew and creamy flavor. The sandwich was very tasty because of all the layers of flavor is a party in your mouth. This is a very refreshing kind of sandwich and the cilantro just adds to that, if you have never had one than you have no idea. My only complaint was the next to no jalapeños because the sandwich is supposed to be a sweet vs hot vs crunchy the texture of the veggies with the meat on crunchy/soft French bread. I had jalapeños so I filled in the sandwich. I know that this is a new place and I like the quality/freshness so far and I hope that doesn't change over time. Accommodations / ambience of the restaurant - middle of the road. That's ok. Food was good - crab Rangoons came out crispy and hot, very tasty, liked them. Calamari was ok; portion on the small side for what was paid. My pho was pretty good, fair price. Daughter had vegetable fried rice - she loved it, but I would say the portion was a little small for the price paid (or the price should have been a few dollars lower. I would have given 4 stars overall; however, I can't get over the prices being charged here: they are almost breathtakingly high. I scanned the menu and got that sense wherever I looked. But the most obvious, and galling thing, is this: $3.99 for a can of Diet Coke or other basic canned sodas? Seriously? How can this be justified? The answer is - it can't! $3.99 for a can of soda in 2025 is a ripoff and will cause this diner to say "no thank you" the next time I'm in the mood for Vietnamese. Sorry, but that's the truth. Just got done with lunch at Pho Saigon and was very pleased with my experience! My boyfriend and I decided to try this place when we found another pho place was closed on Tuesday's, I am very glad things ended up this way and I was able to try Pho Saigon. The place itself is modest and small, but it has a homey feeling. The man who seated us, took our order, brought our food, and gave us our bill was a wonderful guy. He was so kind and did such a great job of keeping up with all the people in his store and all the orders he was getting. I suspect he might be (at least part) owner of this cute little restaurant. As an "appetizer" we shared a 6 inch pork bahn mi sandwich. This sandwich was perfectly on point! The bread was warm and soft but had a nice bite of texture on the outside. The pork was tender and delicious. The Mayo perfectly complimented the sandwich and the veggies were nice and fresh. Something I really like about the bahn mi sandwich at Pho Saigon is that the jalapeño on the sandwich is deseeded and deveined. Normally I would just pick the jalapeño slices off of a bahn mi because that is way too spicy for me. This time I didn't have to and I was able to enjoy the flavor of the jalapeño with the sandwich without all the heat! I loved that. I ordered the beef vermicelli noodles which are white vermicelli noodles in a bowl with veggies, grilled beef, and an egg roll served with a fish sauce dressing on the side. This dish was great too if you are looking for a cold dish. Lastly, the dish that the place is named after: pho! We had the flank steak pho which was deliciously flavorful and satisfying (and big). The prices here are very reasonable which makes a trip here even more enjoyable. I also tried the Vietnamese coffee (which was good but very sweet, be warned) and my boyfriend had the Thai tea which was great. We were both raving about this place by the end of the meal and agree that we will be coming back and recommending Pho Saigon to others as well! read more
