New to Texas and was visiting Austin and were craving Pho. I found this little gem right here on yelp. Which they had great reviews, lots of them. We had the best waitress we've ever had in a restaurant, her name was Tiffany! And she not only was so very sweet, she recommended what was the most popular, but she did it with such passion and knowledge of what they served, and how flavorful something would be. She throughly explained everything so perfect. No one has ever done that before for us in a Pho restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and the food was fresh and delicious. I've had a lot of Pho and I have to say this is the best for the price point. The noodle Pho chicken soup was delicious. Just the best flavor. We split it and fought over it. B5 or vermicelli with eggs rolls and fried pork was so yummy. The extra side of bean sprouts, parsley, basil, lime, fresh hot pepper was the added touch to make the dish even fresher. Loved it! Worth a visit if you are in north Austin. Only been once, but the spring roll was very fresh and tasty. Pho was good quality, though not exceptional. I had the steak and tendon (#6). This review is based off Uber Eats deliveries from here. The main reason they got the 5th star is accommodation. I'm on a restrictive low carb diet and they consistently replace my pho noodles with extra bean sprouts. Their spicy beef broth is my favorite there. They also do the bean sprout replacement for me when I get their other noodle bowls, which is a huge win for me. Plus, it's real tasty. I'm not a huge fan of their standard pho broth too much, but it could be personal taste. I love their other plates/bowls a lot though! read more

The pros: 5 stars for the pho! We had the eye of round/brisket/flank steak pho. The broth was absolutely incredible! Hands down the best I've had in Austin, bar none. 4 stars for the vermicelli dish. It had thinly sliced pork and grilled shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly done...cooked through, but juicy and not overcooked. Just delectable. The only detractor for me in this dish was the sprinkled peanut sweetness. Just me. I just don't like the taste of peanuts. Next time I'll have them leave that off. 5 stars for waitstaff and owner. Waitstaff were very attentive and the owner treated us like family. You can tell she's put her heart and soul into this. Decor is very pleasantly minimal, light and welcoming. Cons: The Vietnamese eggroll, which we shared. Came out quickly and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was cool when I was expecting (and used to) crunchy warmth on that first bite. Also, my bite was overly salty. My date did not find hers salty, so maybe I just got a clump of salt in mine, I dunno. So, despite my one bite of eggroll, I will definitely be back. Ordered togo. Pho Special size small, glad I asked them how big a large bowl looks like. I can easily split the small order into 2 meals (maybe because I'm on a diet). But the meats were not skimmed on; there were sufficient slices of different types of meat to worth the dollars I paid! I love this place! I have a lot of Vietnamese friends back in San Diego and they would definitely approve. Family run, this place is legit. The pho broth is great: not sweet or too salty, very rich. I suggest not putting anything extra in it until you've tasted it. I put sauces on the side and dip the meats in it because I like drinking the broth when I am done. I've had almost every pho here and have zero complaints! It's totally worth getting the large bowl for a dollar more to get extra noodles and broth. Service in the restaurant is great, and so is the preparation of their to go orders. I highly recommend their bun (noodle salad) as well. When I want something delicious in the middle of this heat wave, my go-to dish is the grilled pork and eggrolls bun. Tasty, lots of nutritious veggies, and tender rice noodles with grilled pork and meaty egg rolls will hit the spot, if you are hungry for quality Vietnamese food. It's like a sauna in this place. To say the least honestly the food isn't great and completely sub par to other pho places that aren't far away. Service wasn't great, after they dropped off the food we never saw our waitress again resulting in never getting a refill of water which is torture because its sooo hot inside. Our egg rolls came out and weren't hot at all like they had been sitting out for awhile. These guys do it right. The Bun Bo Hue was spot on. The broth was nice and clear. Perhaps a star off because of excessive oil. The use of the cross section of the leg as rock solid authentic, and they used the wider diameter noodles, which is right on for Bun Bo Hue. read more

Have come here for many years, and it was the best when Tiffany owned it. The last owner was super super friendly, and would always go around checking up on customers. I think some time last year it was sold to the current owners. Pho is still good...ish. I always get the P3 and, this time the consistency in the brisket was weird. Had a weird flavor. Floors were sticky and slippery. And during our entire visit, not once were we checked on or given refills. I hope they work on training their staff, and focus more on overall cleanliness. We may be back in the future since it is very close by. read more

This is our first visit and it was great. The food and service was great. Tiffany helped us and made some great recommendations. We had the chicken pho and the vegetable pho. We recommend the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and ask Tiffany how sweet it should be. She'll ask you questions to get it closer to your palette. Customer service in Austin is one of 2 things. mediocre or bad. This place has to be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. I believe that the top notch customer service has a lot to do with that. The Pho is awesome and so is the Vermicelli Shrimp Salad. The older lady that works there always comes out to my car to hand me my to go order on the days that my family and I don't eat at the restaurant. She is always so friendly and accommodating. This is my absolute favorite place to get food in Austin. I order from here at least once every single week! I get the P12. Vegetable Chay Pho. The restaurant is extremely consistent with orders and portions. Another great point to note is that the people who work here are always kind and helpful. We came here for dinner takeout during covid-19. My husband saw the chef not wearing a mask while making our fried rice. The chef had a mask but was half wearing it (hang on one ear but not covering his nose and mouth). We had to ask him to remake the fried rice with his mask on. I love this place! The food is fresh and the owner is personable. She walks around and checks to see if her customers are happy. 90% of the menu is GF. And, she will tell you how to order other food GF. So, if you want fried rice gluten free then order it without the soy sauce. When I want comfort food this is where I go. read more

I was in this part of town, so I decided to try Pho Phi. I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with the food. I started with the Crystal Rolls and felt like it was very bland. The pork they used inside the roll is different from other places, so that made it pretty dry. I then moved on to their rice dish with pork, shrimp and egg rolls. Again, pretty bland. The shrimp and pork needed more seasoning and the fish sauce dip was a little too sweet. I've eaten at many vietnamese restaurants and this place was just mediocre. I also thought it was odd that they didn't serve their food (mine was a to-go order) with sambal (chili sauce), like other vietnamese restaurants do. I had the crystal rolls which is their name for spring rolls. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! They had shrimp in them along with the other typical fillings - mint, vermicelli noodles, etc. But you could definitely tell they were fresh and tasted delicious. I ended up getting the brisket pho (p2 I believe) over the chicken pho at the recommendation of my server. It was delicious as well! Hot and flavorful! And great for a cold day (like it was when I went)! I got a small portion just because a large was probably going be way more than I needed. PSA- Get a small bowl unless you want to make multiple meals out of your pho. The small was massive as it was! The manager was super friendly, as was the rest of the staff I interacted with. I am always impressed with Pho Phi. I usually get the pho tai (sometimes I add shrimp), and the steak is always fresh, tender, and just overall beautiful. Not that chewy, flavorless meat that some restaurants provide with their pho. The broth is tasty, and the noodles are tender as well. I came with two friends about 30 minutes before closing which I understand can lead to unfriendly and tired staff. Our orders came incorrectly but was quickly fixed soon thereafter. There were 4 other customers during this time and I felt neglected - my friends and I were not asked how the food was and if we needed to go boxes (I had only finished half of my entree). For the subpar service I knocked off a star. As for the food, I got vermicelli with grilled pork. The pork was flavorful and tender but salty and the noodles were a bit too soft. I have been to my fair share of Vietnamese restaurants and I felt this restaurant was mediocre in terms of their rice and vermicelli dishes. Perhaps I need to try their pho sometime? read more

Amazing pho!!! One of the best soup I ever had!!! Such a rainly day.. a warm broth is so perfect! Not only soup is so authentic/homemade, they have the amazing portion offered!
