I cannot believe I have not written a review for Pho Peoria. This has been my go to spot for a long time. A friend of mine and I eat here after we ride our horses because you can get beer and sake with your pho. But what made me write this review is that I want to award Pho Peoria my personal COVID star award. In shutdown, we needed pho for takeout. They had take out nailed!!! All items for my pho were packaged separately or packaged in like items. Since I order tai, my beef had been sliced and slightly frozen. Well...you know you've had good pho when you find yourself back at the restaurant two days in a row! It's been chilly here this week and I'm fighting a nasty head cold, so pho seemed like just what I needed. I had driven past this restaurant a few times, so I decided to drop in for take out. Booooy am I glad that I did! The first night I had vegetarian pho and a side of Vietnames egg rolls for the husband. The pho came with beef broth (although veggie broth was an option) and included noodles, carrots, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu and I chose to also add shrimp. The generous portion of egg rolls were crispy, fried to perfection and included pork. The next night I had the vegetarian pho (again in beef broth) without the additional shrimp. Husband had the stir fried egg noodle with chicken. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There were several folks in there who were clearly regulars at this great pho spot. I can easily understand why. Hands down, this is the best Denver pho we've had to date. We will surely be going back for more! read more

DH was nearby and stopped in for a "Togo" order yesterday based on the Yelp reviews. Surrounding area is a little sketchy but the restaurant looked new and clean. Pho Peoria is on point, or shall I say, "phoint"! First of all, I am known to consistently order the meatball pho, or at least something including meatball, because I'm obsessed with beef meatballs. Pho bo vien is how I typically compare pho restaurants, basically, with the occasional seafood pho. I went with a large group and ordered a medium size pho bo vien. I judge my pho based off the quality of broth, and the quantity of noodles and meat (and meat quality if I'm getting something in addition to meatball). Pho Peoria' broth was flavorful prior to any of my usual add-ins, and I was definitely pleased with the portion size in relation to price. Pho Peoria offers 3 different sizes, whereas most pho places offer only two, which is very nice. A couple of people in my group ordered the spring rolls with shrimp as well. The spring rolls were very fresh, and the peanut sauce that accompanied the rolls was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and the dining area was spacious and clean. When we requested a few extra lime and other add-ins, he brought plentttyyy! I will definitely return for more of my favorite pho. read more

Love this new pho place near my hood. The owner, Peter, is a super stand up guy who was very cordial to us when we came in. We've been in about 4 times in 2 months...that says something! Best pho on this side of town, for sure. I really enjoy their pork spring rolls and their tai chin does not disappoint. Inside tip: get rare steak on the side and cook it to your liking! I can only imagine this special recipe cooking in a Vietnamese grandmother's kitchen while the family gathers to enjoy "noodle". My favorite Pho restaurant in SE Denver sold a few years back and to my great disappointment the new owners changed the recipe. As a local spot within walking distance from Anschutz and West Stapleton, I always expect this place to be busier. It is consistently tasty and I always get to sit in a booth, so maybe I don't mind that it's usually not overly crowded. I guess it could be that I usually crave Pho for weekend brunch or in the early evening when I'm sick or stressed. I'm not the only person who appreciates that Pho Peoria opens at 10 on Saturdays...you'd be surprised. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the beef broth just isn't my favorite. The pho is very hearty and comes with a variety of options like other joints like the standard beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian (veggie broth). I normally don't order crab cheese wontons but this appetizer at this place is a hit. The bo luc lac was also delicious and tender. If you are in the area and craving some pho stop by you wont regret. Just be aware it gets really busy during lunch time but the service never lets down. read more

Heck yeah. Good pho. Efficient service. Why not five stars? I'm not crazy about the noodles (they're a little tough) and meat could be more tender. Broth is damn fine. The small bowl is a little smaller than average - so if a small usually sates you, you may want to consider getting a medium (worst comes to worst you can take the rest home). As with most pho places, you go up to the counter after you're finished eating to pay. They also have a full menu, boba drinks, Vietnamese coffee, etc. but I haven't tried any of these things yet. I have had some amazing pho and some that turned my stomach. I can say without a doubt that this is absolutely the best pho I have ever had. Simply amazing. It's one of the few places within walking distance that isnt mobbed during the day near the hospital because it's tucked away from the main view of the Anschutz Campus. It's really close to Anschutz Medical Campus, so it's perfect for lunch or dinner. It's really casual, so no need to dress up (great for a library study break).
