The man who owns and runs the restaurant is a nice man. I believe his name is Kim. He is attentive and gives great suggestions. He even explained his Phò broth process, I was impressed. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of natural light. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant gets pretty busy on Sundays for brunch. The Crispy Fried Egg Rolls (Cha Gio) are delicious. I get the small Pho Pho Rare Steak, Brisket - Tai, Chin, 2p. My guy Pho Rare Steak, Meatball - Tai, Bo Vien, 4p. The small pho and the crispy egg rolls is a lot of food for me. My guy usually has a small amount left over from the medium to take home. I add mine to his when I am unable to finish the small. This restaurant is close to my guys home so it is our go to spot for delicious Vietnamese food. read more

This place is a spot to eat good food. Not to hang out having drinks. The place is super clean! You can see everywhere, it is spotless. Even the condiment holders at the table are like new, always full, neat, clean and organized. I particularly love their veggie pho. It's vegetable broth, no animal products, no oil, very light and flavorful. The veggie spring roll is also good. Prices are fair and portions are well served. All of the food was fantastic. The flavors and quality were on point. The broth was light and flavorful. The meats were sliced nice and thin and very plentiful. They did not skimp on the ingredients. I've been looking for a good Pho place off of hampden and stopped by here for lunch. This is a good option if your in the area and are looking for a solid meal. We ordered 2 dishes and they both were large portions, the pho was solid, the broth was slightly sweet but it was easy to balance out with chili sauce. The meat combo was huge and all the the meat was seasoned well, love it when you get a fried egg roll with the combo it was really good! The staff was friendly and we were seated and got our food really quickly. I'll definitely be back and recommend Pho Real to anyone. read more

The food is good. We eat here often for lunch. The prices have gone up by about 70% in the last year or two. I do think the restaurant has also changed hands in that time frame. We used to eat here for under $30 For the two of us for lunch. Now the bill is consistently $50 for lunch for 2 including the tip. I understand there has been inflation in the range of 10%, but nearly doubling the prices on every item? That seems out of line. Usually only one or two tables are occupied at lunch. We keep coming back because the quality is still there and it is the best Vietnamese restaurant closest to our house. The six dollar lime juice made in house is really good but overpriced, which seems to be the theme of the restaurant now. read more

Wow! This is my new go to! The rare steak pho is SO GOOD! Portions are beyond what most places give. The service was so quick and extremely friendly. We ate at this place in the past and it was basic good Vietnamese fare. We heard there was now owners, but how do you really screw up Vietnamese food done by Vietnamese? Apparently, you definitely can. The first thing that caught our attention was the new menu, the prices were nearly doubled. A mediocre Thai Ice Tea came in at about $7 ($6.95). We ordered the shrimp Gỏi cuốn, something I have done at home, it was OK, but came with a watery peanut sauce (2 pieces for $6.95). The entrees was where we really got surprised and riled; My wife ordered a SMALL Pho, which was listed at $12.95, DOUBLE what we normally pay at all other Vietnamese restaurants. She described it as almost tasteless, I tried a spoon of the broth. It surprised me, normally it is a broth done over 24-36 hours minimum, I have tried it at home myself. This was basically boiled water with some beef flavor, not even the lemongrass flavor common to making Pho. Mine was alleged to be seafood Udon stir fry ($15.95). NO UDON, some supermarket spaghetti, 3 rationed small shrimp, 3 tiny bay scallops, 3 cut up squid/ calamaris, and A LOT of basic American vegetables like celery, peppers, onions, and a couple of small stalks of Shanghai style mini bok choi. For an overall price of almost $50, it was a really fraudulent and larcenous meal. The new owners will NEVER see us return. read more

I ordered my usual the small chicken soup ... handed the gentleman a 20 and got back 5.91 in change so he just gave himself a 2 dollar tip without authorization. I used to love this place but since covid they cheat you!!!!!
