This place has some great food. The pho tastes amazing and has a great broth. They do in fact charge for fountain soda refills at $2.50 a pop. Hopefully management and employees see this and correct the issue because this could make me hesitant on going back. I came to Quincy for work for about a week and this place was nearby. I got totally hooked and started eating there almost daily. What struck me most was the FRESHNESS of the food. The vegetables were super good... and I'm not a vegetable person at all. I tried a new thing on the menu every day and was never disappointed. Came here tonight for dinner. This is my second time here at this Pho Pasteur location. I got the large Pho Tai. After trying this place for the 2nd time, I can say I'm not a fan of the pho here. The broth tasted bland and lacked flavor. The broth was also warm/lukewarm, not steaming hot; how I prefer my pho and I assume how others would too. I also got the lychee smoothie to go, and it was so thick! I couldn't even drink anything out of the straw. I prefer my smoothies drinkable, not slushi-consistency. Prices are good, food is average. I had a free delivery offer through one of the third-party services, so I decided to give this place a try. Ordered 2 types of rolls (chicken/shrimp and vegetarian) and a grilled pork rice plate. From best to worst: The pork was delicious, and the portion size is generous. (Read: I got 2 dinners out of that.) They forgot the basil in the chicken/shrimp rolls, so they were a bit bland. The vegetarian rolls were the saddest things ever - lettuce, noodles, and 2 tiny pieces of tofu. That's it. I expected the beautiful, vegetable-stuffed rolls I've gotten elsewhere in this area, so that was disappointing. I can't comment on service, of course, but I can say that kitchen is FAST - I got my food a solid 20 minutes earlier than expected (during rush hour, so I don't think credit goes to the driver here). New to pho, I waited about a year before giving a review. To be fair. I love Pho Pasteur-Quincy. I get the rare steak soup with vermicelli. And start with the shrimp fresh spring rolls. My favorite. Food is quick and very fresh. I always get the small size a drink and rolls and spend less than 20$. Great deal. Service is short and sweet. Great people. We wanted to take my relatives for good Pho and were pleasantly surprised that there is a Pho Pasteur in Quincy since we frequent the original location in Chinatown. I'm glad we went since the menu is the same as the one in Chinatown and is just as good. Their classic Pho Ga can't be beat. Additionally, the servers were very friendly and attentive. My uncle uses a walker now and they made sure to give us a table that had plenty of room around it. They also held the door open for him on the way in and on the way out. I am a big fan of the Chinatown location. Always happy there. Just got this food delivered to me via door dash (which was great) and was very unpleased. My order had a few modifications, I asked to add boba to my smoothies and asked for hoisin sauce instead of fish sauce with my egg rolls, when my food was delivered one of the boxes was fracked and all the sauce had leaves down all over the other boxes causing a huge mess. There was no boba in my smoothies. And there was fish sauce. Not hoison sauce. Oh yeah and a hair in my egg roll. I am so unimpressed I won't be going back. read more

Finally I had the chance to visit the new Quincy location. I ordered #16, large pho with various meats, tripes and tendons. There was a lot of meat, but fewer pieces of tripes and tendons--not that I can complain. The service was prompt and courteous. I will definitely visit again. read more

Saddest bowl of pho I've ever had. The sizes of the bowls do not measure up to the ones served at their Boston location. The amount of noodles served in my XL felt like a L and my wife's small was pathetic. To top it off, the soup was served luke warm. The noodles in my bowl looked like they were packed in a take out box and then put back in my bowl. To be fair, I have eaten here 3 times to give them the benefit of the doubt but management is unorganized and the restaurant is understaffed. Don't waste your time. Good pho. I was very excited to see a 3rd Vietnamese restaurant opening in Quincy. I was unable to check out the restaurant in its first month of being open. Recently, I checked the reviews here on Yelp and saw that it had only 3 stars. I also noticed that many of the reviews were written right around its grand opening. I kept seeing clean, inexperienced workers, mediocre food, and lukewarm pho broth in the reviews. I decided to go check it out for myself and was really hoping that in their 2nd month they've figured some of this out. I only had the pho, but I can say they definitely have figured that out. I got the XL pho tai gau and the bowl came out steaming hot. The meat was tender. The broth was delicious. The size was perhaps a bit smaller than other restaurants. All that said, it was a great bowl of pho. As for service, the wait staff was incredibly eager to be helpful. At times, almost too eager to help, but I thought it was nice to see how much they wanted me and my daughter to feel welcomed and taken care of. At one point, one of the waiters asked if I needed anything and then specifically asked if I wanted some more hot broth for my pho. Looks like they're trying to improve our experience based on these reviews. I say this place is getting better and will hopefully continue on that upward trend. read more

The new restaurant is very nice looking and peaceful. No music, a big plus, and though there's a huge TV at least the volume was low. My soup was good, but I've never had pho with so little meat. I was still starving afterward. It's almost always the opposite, an abundance of meat. In fact, usually the small, and sometimes even the appetizer size, pho has more meat than I got in my regular size. Very unusual, too, that the hot tea came in a mug. They did not keep it filled. I had to ask for a refill. I don't know if they are intentionally skimping on the quantities of meat and tea and perhaps other things to save money or if this is all just new-restaurant glitches. Worst service I've ever had went out with a group of friends and we waited are food for about 30 minutes. One of our friends order her meal and they forgot make her bowl of noodles. She had to wait for 1hr and they didn't even say sorry about the wait.Not only our food was 30 minutes late, I had to repeat to the waiter they we needed basic things like napkins and drinks that they brought out 25 minutes later. Amazing! Now, I don't necessarily crave Vietnamese food - but as it was a new place in town, thought we'd check it out. We were NOT disappointed. Everything was so incredibly fresh and generously proportioned. Fresh herbs of basil and cilantro were put on the table to season our "pho" as we wished. The spring rolls were also freshly made and delicious as was the dipping sauce. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere with great service. Our adorable waitress and our language barrier made all that much more authentic. The owner even stopped by our table and he was warm and wonderful and had a great sense of humor. They make you feel completely comfortable and very welcome here, as if you are going into a family home in Vietnam for a cultural experience. Will definitely go back again for some "pho" - now that I HAVE developed a craving for more of the ginger spiced, fresh herbed, nostril clearing bowl of healthy goodness. I've been a longtime fan of the Pho Pasteur in Chinatown and am pleased they opened a spot in QC. The soup was pretty good and the to-go order was prepared as ordered and in a good amount of time.
