Great food! I ordered delivery and everything came so fresh and delicious. I ordered the combo of the Shrimp with Broccoli, 4 Crab Rangoons, and Pork Fried Rice for $15.75. First of all, that is a pretty good price for that much food. There's definitely some places that have cheaper combos, but they usually have just a main dish, fried rice, and a single appetizer. 4 crab rangoons is a lot! Secondly, the amount of food that actually came in this order was massive. It is enough fried rice for at least two meals, and the shrimp with broccoli was a good portion as well. Third, the restaurant gave me a free egg roll on top of it! And lastly, the taste. The crab rangoons had scallions and imitation crab in them and were still very crispy. The egg roll had mostly veggies in it, but the duck sauce that came with the order is some of the best duck sauce I've had - it's not that orange or yellow stuff - it's the real deal made with the right proportions of apple sauce, vinegar, and sugar (and other things too?). But the point is that the duck sauce was GOOD. The pork fried rice was dark brown and the perfect New England style fried rice with bean sprouts (also not always included by other places) and BBQ pork. And the shrimp tasted actually really fresh and plump while the broccoli was crisp and absorbed the sauce well. All in all, 5/5 for sure - this is place is great! read more

Taking a star from my previous review. Honestly if I knew the price I would have ordered from the Haitian place because their food is healthier and roughly around the same price. Even the Jamaican place's price is similar! No matter how good the food is I hate when takeout places display the wrong price and then expect you to pay the higher price. I thought the price was 15.75...reasonable in 2025. Then he asked for 17 something. Guys...I know the public education system isn't great but anyone can tell that's more than 7% tax. Anyway, they just boldly asked me to pay the higher undisplayed price...much like the Texas BBQ place next door! I'm sure this is illegal. Let's hope the food is good or this review is dropping even lower. They did throw in a free egg roll to pacify me which is more than the other place did...and I'm fat so I accepted the bribe. China Station has officially reopened after being closed for over a month for construction! They reopened last Thursday and inside they have drastically redecorated their space to encourage distancing between customers and working personnel. They have totally covered the cashier desk with plastic, glass, and boxes to act as a protective barrier. You pay through a small window and then they push your food out to you through another window with a pickup sign. They are strictly take out and have no tables for dine in. I've ordered from many places off Foodler and although some were Good...there hasn't been that one that made a huge lasting impression...UNTIL NOW! Broccoli wasn't hard to eat and wasn't too mushy either. As I'm writing this review, my mouth is watering thinking about the food last night. I took away one star because when I ordered, they told me delivery time is between 30-40 minutes and it took almost an hour to come. Living around here, it can be difficult to find good "American style" Chinese food. There's tons of great authentic Asian cuisine, but when you want real Chinese fast food it can be difficult if you don't know where to go. This is hands down the best in the area. Friendly staff, quick delivery, and the food is always cooked to perfection. The General Gau's is awesome. They don't try and over-do it with orange peels or whole chiles, just very flavorful sauce with small pieces of chiles mixed in. The rice is moist and flavorful, as are the spare ribs. The crab rangoon are also very good, sometimes they aren't as crispy as I'd like, but they do have crab in them, not just cream cheese like a lot of places are going to nowadays to save a buck. Great overall takeout Chinese spot. Super affordable prices - the chicken wings are great!! They're more traditionally American fried breaded wings than the typical Chinese fried ones, which I prefer. Pork fried rice was perfect + the crab rangoons were great! The lobster sauce was the lighter clearer kind (not the dark brown one I'm used to), and it was still good but just a heads up it's a little less rich if you're used to the darker brown sauce. The spare ribs looked and tasted like they had been sitting all day maybe even a day old. The chicken looked so over fried and unappealing that I was reluctant to even take a bite never mind eat it. Best Chinese Food In Dorchester! I came across China Station on Yelp while browsing for a late night meal. The menu was affordable and appealing to try. I called in for a delivery order and I was told it would be about 30 minutes ended up being 20. The food came hot and delicious. I ended up trying China Station numerous more times for pickup. You can get a full dinner meal for under $10 here. I usually get the #8 combo that comes with chicken fingers, crab rangoon, boneless ribs and pork fried rice. It's really more than enough for a single person and the food quality has been consistent for months. The house tea here is like crack. I believe it is $1 for it. Totally worth trying! The employees here have always been nice to me and I appreciate the kindness they have shown me over the past couple of months coming by here to grab food. read more

I just "discovered" China Station last week - even though they opened some months back and the location is less than two blocks from my home (go figure!) I worked very late one evening and had intended to go to the pizza place next door, but it was closed. However, China Station was still open and I decided to give it a shot. I will say that the place is very bare bones. Clearly a "take-out only" operation as there were, maybe, two small tables. However, the space and open kitchen are very clean and well-organized. The menu is not as extensive as many other take-out places I have gone, but pretty solid for standard fare, nonetheless. A few surprises on the menu include fried chicken wings and plantains and a fried half-chicken, which is unusual in this area. I ordered the steamed chicken and vegetables with a side of white rice from their "Lighter Side" menu. As advertised, these dishes are cooked without oil or seasoning. It was very fresh and flavorful and came with a ginger sauce on the side. The portion was extremely generous: enough for two people of two meals. The vegetables were bright, crisp, and fresh. The sauce was delicious! I was greatly encouraged and decided to try the vegetable egg foo young with shrimp fried rice. The eggs were fresh and fluffy. The shrimp in the rice was plump and flavorful. Overall, the food was definitely lower in sodium than most other places, which I appreciated. I could really taste and enjoy all the flavors. What I also highly appreciated was that the gravy that usually is poured over the egg foo young was served on the side. And that is another thing I must comment on: I was very impressed by their packaging. All the sauces I've had so far were in separate containers, then wrapped in plastic bags to prevent leaks. The food containers were never sloppy or oily. A very, very neat job with high attention to detail. I have been back to this place four times in the past two weeks, and the quality is always consistent. I would have loved a more extensive menu, but, honestly, I would rather have a limited menu where all of the food is prepared well than a mile-long menu where it is inconsistent. I gave this place 4-starts instead of 5 only because I think it could use some more atmosphere and a few extra tables. Highly, highly recommended! read more

Then the lady was upset that I didn't like them saying its not an egg roll. Exactly that's why I ordered a spring roll cause i didn't want the pork heavier wrapper. The spring roll would have given them 2 stars since it wouldn't kill me but her attitude after the fact warrants 1 star. I may give them another chance, so stay tuned. read more
