2 Costa nuestra and tito puente
    Marni M.

My friends and I came here for a round of drinks after dinner. One had heard that they were particularly good so we were excited when we were able to get a table right away without reservations. We got their Costa nuestra and tito puente. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the preparation of the drinks. What made matters even better was our waiter took an extended amount of time to come back to our table. I even kindly asked if we could just check out with the host in which we were told no. Eventually that same host brought our check to us even though the waiter was very obviously speaking to another staff member nearby. Overall, seems like a chill and cool environment to be in but the drinks and service seem to be a reason for not returning again.

This review is just for the AWESOME cocktails. I got the Golden Ticket to start because the bartender recommended it as a savory cocktail--and it was! If you're like me and don't like sweet cocktails, this one is pretty great. It's tart and refreshing. The bartender was super friendly and clearly knew what he was doing! Then, I got something else that had mezcal in it... I can't remember what it was called, but it was equally delicious. Not usually mezcal fan, but it was a very well-balanced cocktail!

Some friends and I stopped in for some drinks and the atmosphere and vibe was nice and dark. The drinks we got were alright I would want to try another drink on the menu. We were able to get seated immediately around 9:30 which was nice as I know there's usually a wait or reservations required. The service was good at first but near the end the server didn't really check on us and we had to try and go to the host to get the check while our server was busy talking to other workers.

Higher prices but good quality: both tofu mushrooms crepe and pea stems were kind of oily but it's expected in a Chinese restaurant. We also got the vegetarian summer rolls, also fried and oily.

Drinks are really good!!! Food is too salty but the portions are shareable. My friends and I had a great time. Dark ambiance and lots of street parking.

I was so excited to finally dine at Blossom Bar as I've heard rave reviews about it. I made a reservation for a date night and was seated promptly. The decor is modern and moody with some fun tropical accents added in. The drink menu is expansive but I was finally able to settle on the Bomba Estereo. It was dangerously good and I had to make a conscious effort to take my time drinking it. I would love to try more of the drink menu as there are a lot of experimental and unique cocktails. For the food, we decided to go with the dan dan noodles, Chengdu dry hot chicken, dong po boneless ribs, and prosperity noodles with beef. We also decided to get a side of white rice to share to offset the spice (which ended up being a smart decision). The food was AMAZING and addictively spicy. My personal favorite was the Chengdu hot dry chicken but all of it was great and I would not hesitate to order any of the dishes again. Next time, I definitely will want to try the crispy fish fillets as well. Overall, I would love to come back here for another date night or for a fun dinner hangout with some great drinks.

Found this place on tiktok and we traveled out of the city a bit to come here. It was overall ok - I was definitely more excited and feel like it wasn't as authentic as I was hoping. Portions sizes are huge but flavors overall not so great in my opinion. The drinks looked pretty but didn't taste all that amazing. There was something in the chicken that left a weird tingly feeling in your mouth afterwards. The service was fine - our server did look a little annoyed but overall fine. It was pretty busy when we got there in terms of tables being full. I think I just expected more of a local spot but overall wasn't entirely bad but wouldn't say this is a must in Boston. It can be dark in there during the evening so a dim lit vibe.

This is such a fun place! I loved the atmosphere and the drink I had was the best drink I've ever ordered. The bartender was so helpful. I'm really indecisive and the bartender was super patient and explained the details for each drink I asked about.

Worth a trip here just for their innovative cocktails alone! 5/5 Gloria -- this one is absolutely stunning and so unique, would not have expected the fruity flavors of the passionfruit to go so well with the coffee and mascarpone components of this drink. 4.8/5 Bocadillo Sour 4.8/5 Tortuga Express We were less impressed by the food menu items, they were fairly average in taste and execution. 3.5/5 DongPo Ribs -- fried pretty crisp, but were quite dry and missing a depth of flavor 3/5 Spicy Eggplant -- very soy sauce heavy sauce profile, with no spicy kick

Visited Blossom bar on a weekday night (Wednesday) and it wasn't too busy. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar, which was fun because we watched the bar tender make our drinks. I tried the Angie Valencia which was sooo good! The bar tender literally pulled out a bunch full of fresh mint and added it to my drink If you like a sweet & refreshing cocktail, highly recommend this one! The papaya slice was also a nice touch. For food, I highly recommend the Chengdu dry hot chicken if you are able to take some heat. This fried chicken dish has a good balance of mala from the numbing peppercorns and heat from the peppers. We had this with a side of white rice. I've eaten a lot of Mala foods and I would say the flavors are pretty authentic here. We also tried the tofu crepe filled with shiitake mushrooms and bamboo. This dish was good but not excellent - the filling was a bit too sweet for me (I prefer savory flavors), but it did remind me of home-cooked Chinese food. I'm usually a huge fan of tofu crepe (tofu skin) but I feel like it could have been prepared better so it would be less chewy. Overall, nothing disappointed and I will definitely be back again!!

Very cute atmosphere. I got a brown sugar latte. It was absolutely delicious. I got avocado toast as well. The portion was small, but it was very tasty. This place is located inside of the main building.

String beans - a little too salty but good flavor
    Jennifer H.

Highly recommend! Some unique drinks with interesting flavors like sesame and salted mango. You can't really go wrong.. The food was also REALLY good! The fried fish is definitely the best - crunchy, so well fried, spicy but not too spicy so that you can still taste the Szechuan flavor. So yummy! The chong Qing dry hot chicken is also really tasty! The eggplant and string beans are solid - string beans maybe a little too salty for my taste but good flavor. The lo mein is also decent - nothing special but exactly what you expect it to be. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Brookline!

My partner and I got the crispy fish fillets, double cooked bacon, and a side of rice - TASTE: 4/5 - loved the salt & pepper style of the fish w its chili aromatics. The thick-cut pork was fatty and satisfying, and noted a hint of the spicy chili peppers TEXTURE: 4/5 - the fish fillets were fried so well and had a great crunch! PRICE: 4/5 - most of the entrees start at $20, so price points are on the higher end. Wish they came w rice though SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - good portions. Came for a light lunch, and had to take home leftovers SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 1:30pm on a Sunday, and there were only a couple tables filled. Our food came out 10-15min later, and our waiter regularly refilled our water. Wish their bar was open during lunch service; we'd definitely come back for all of their cocktails! ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 - hip and modern decor. I can tell it'd be busy and bustling at night PARKING: 4/5 - parked nearby at a metered street spot on Harvard St

This is a place you come for cocktails. The food is good but honestly, you can just get cheaper food that is even better in Chinatown.

Why fix something simple when it ain't broken? Sometimes places can fall into the trap of trying to do too much. Prairie Fire is one of the few that can walk that tightrope, offering a raw bar, pizzas, pastas, a burger, seafood, and more. But everything we tried was delicious. I had an eye on so much on the menu but we ultimately went with the razor clam ceviche from the raw bar, a pepperoni pizza, the Maine lobster ravioli, and the mushroom toast (a crowd favorite). My favorites were the ceviche and the mushroom toast - do not skip it. The mushrooms are cooked perfectly and they slather a layer of parmesan aioli on the bread that cooks into it. Amazing. One of my best bites of 2025. Pepperoni pizza was pretty good but I still prefer the Neapolitan style. Have to come back to try so many other things - the Maine uni toast, the burger, the trout. The sourdough ice cream was a super unique dessert. They take the leftover butts of loaves and soak it in milk/cream and the result is almost like a less sweet salted caramel. Loved the textural addition of the poached pear. We were lucky to come around 5 on a weekend evening and snag some of the remaining bar seats but when we left, the place was completely full. Come early or get a reservation! Parking can be tough in Coolidge Corner; I recommend seeing if you can get a spot in Webster parking lot at the back of the restaurant.

We opted to sit at the bar in front of the wood-fired oven, which turned out to be a great call. Watching the kitchen work was half the fun with pizzas and dishes coming together right in front of us. The drinks menu is impressive too, with a large selection of beers on tap plus wine, cocktails, and mocktails. For food, we kept it simple and shared our way through the menu. The Farm Green salad was crisp and fresh, pa perfect starter. Then came the asparagus, roasted in the wood-fired oven and served with a sauce that elevated the whole dish. We finished with one of their wood-fired pizzas, and it did not disappoint. Everything had that subtle smoky char you only get from a real oven. Service was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for a spot that feels like a neighborhood staple with food that actually delivers, this is it.

My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.
