Live Laugh Louvre Spritz (Left); Crémant de Limoux (Right)
Rebecca M.

Bar Lunette is a fantastic new addition to Coolidge Corner--a buzzing French brasserie-style spot that already feels like a neighborhood staple. (If you're familiar with the neighborhood, know that this new bar is run by the same team that runs Paris Crêperie next door!) There was standing room available in the front window nook, which turned out to be a perfect people-watching perch. I didn't mind standing, but I really appreciated that our server instinctively grabbed a chair for my mother when it became available--such a intuitive and thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about the level of hospitality here. The wine list fittingly leans French--we were both smitten with the Crémant de Limoux--a crisp, bubbly delight with bright floral notes and a clean finish. I also had the "Live, Laugh, Louvre" spritz made with gin, house-made strawberry syrup, and sparkling wine (probably the Crémant again)! It was fresh, sweet, and the perfect early evening sip.

An amazing little place in a former optician's. Went for the first time yesterday - the drinks were fantastic ( one of us had their very refined modification of a Cosmo, called the Guillo-tini, while the other had a spectacular take on a Vesper), but even more than the excellent drinks, we loved the vibe: NYC minus the attitude, exemplified by the wonderful bartender who served us, talked us through the drinks, ensured that we got a spot for three on a Friday evening, and weven concoted a really special toddy for one of us who was nursing a cold and wanted a warm drink. Magical place, will be back soon.

My daughter recently graduated law school and I hosted a celebration brunch at Bar Lunette. I live in Virgina, but Melissa C. made planning easy and stress free. The grad has Celiac and they were happy to use all gluten free ingredients for everything - including the amazing crapes. The space was warm and welcoming. We had about 25 people. There was some space for grandparents and older guests to sit at the bar, but most people mixed and mingled. The staff was very attentive during the entire party. They treated my daughter like a queen and made sure she had everything she wanted and needed. Closing out the party was also quick and easy. All of the costs and fees were explained ahead of time, so there were no nasty surprises when it came time to pay. I know my daughter and her friends go to both Bar Lunette and the adjoining Paris Creperie often. Now, I just need another excuse to travel north again so I can go with them.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I'm lucky if I get a seat. There is this male bartender that is always so funny and he makes great conversation. I love going here and Coolidge corner is lucky to have this not so hidden gem. The drinks are creative and the service is quick. Sorry if yall catch me reading a book here I'm not trying to be cool I just like reading with a cute cocktail

Service and hand crafted drinks were wonderful. We also ordered a Bean Apetit crepe that was fabulous.

Stopped in here with coworkers before a WBUR event. We started with margaritas which were just so-so. My spicy marg was not spicy and generally we found them to be a little on the sweet side. Fine, but to me it was more like drinking some nice juice. We ordered the nachos to share (you must get these) and a variety of entrees. Food came out so quickly! There was also SO MUCH. I made another two full meals out of leftover nachos and fajitas and could have stretched to a third. It's definitely Americanized Mexican but it really hits the spot! I'd probably just stick with water for my drink next time.

There was a DJ playing music with an MC giving away tickets. The hostess greeted us right away and informed us it was a 30 min wait for a table but that we could sit at the bar, We got lucky and sat at the bar, even though it was packed we didn't wait extremely long for our drinks nor our food. The bartenders were super nice. This is a good spot to kill time before a show or if you're just strolling by. I could tell there are some local regulars. Loved the rotating welcome sign at the entrance. My only complaint would be the ladies room could use a makeover. A nice paint job and new doors as one stall had no lock..

I would go back just for that - crispy + slicing with scissors adds a whole other feel to it. I feel in control of my flatbread. Calamari was good but I'd choose the flatbread over anything. Can't go wrong with fig, goat cheese, and prosciutto. Emma didn't like the dill on there but I didn't mind. Enjoyed with a nice glass of white wine while we dined outside.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. Overall, such a great spot with a fun vibe, amazing service, and really tasty food. I'll definitely be back!

There is literally fun everywhere you look from the panda stuffed animal riding a tiger on the wall to the hilarious shrek pillow. Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. HIDDEN GEM in Brookline. I must have walked past it several times and not noticed it until my…read morefriend introduced me to it. They do both reservations and walk-ins but it's safer to make a reservation ahead if you can. It's pretty easy to make one as well; we only booked a day ahead for a Friday night. Amazing first impressions as well. They make a tiny space work perfectly; I did not feel claustrophobic at all even with full house. They have really cute decors and the space is decorated well. They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Their apple pie old fashioned has an interesting aftertaste in a good way. The bartender and the server were attentive and friendly as well. I had a great time and will definitely be coming back. -9.1/10
