Wow this place was awful. Probably the worst Vietnamese place I've ever been to and I consider myself quite a fan of Vietnamese food. The bun was the absolute worst I've ever had. The egg rolls looked discolored and the vermicelli were all stuck together in big clumps. The pork tasted ok though. I'll give it two stars because the spring rolls were good. Love this place. It's your typical pho restaurant...decor and service of your typical pho restaurant. THe pho is great. Whenever I try new pho places, I always compare it to this place and the others never come close, When i don't order the pho, I get bun cha gio. I'm a very picky eater when it comes to food and cravings! Today I was craving pho so badly that I had to drive all the way from denton just to get me some pho! Omg so I ordered a pretty basic bowl of pho meatball with rare steak. I've never been here before but when I took a slurp of the pho, it was filled with deliciousness. The pho was good not because I was craving it so badly, it was good bc of the broth! I ordered on the side half an order of spring rolls. That was good too! The peanut hoisin dipping sauce taste just as good as the one my grandma makes at home! I'm critiquing based on what Vietnamese food should taste like since I am VIETNAMESE myself! Definitely recommend eating pho here and spring rolls. Next time I'm gonna try something else from here and let you guys know if anything else is good! Pho was really really good. Let me say that again. The Pho was really really good. Maybe one of the best I've had. Spring rolls were also good. It was clean. They had child seats for kids. Downside: Staff speaks next to no English. They didn't really check up on us. They didn't have bubble tea. The atmosphere is not great, and it's in a run-down shopping center. Even as great as the pho was, I may avoid due to the downsides. On the fence with this one. Many pho places nearby for us to try. read more

It's nice to have decent pho so close to our neighborhood. I just wish the service was a little more attentive. I never get offered a second drink. I have to get up and find someone behind for extra napkins or a second drink or more lime. I suppose I don't mind too much since I go back for the food. Based on yelp reviews, gave this place a try. Wanted to order to go online but no website, no menu. Drove over and ordered in person. It was a full house Sunday at 2pm. Only took about 10 minutes and it was ready. The pho was phenomenal just as reviews had said. Also got the spring rolls as the comments were great. They were ok, nothing glorious in my book but did gobble them up. My boyfriend tried the ban with pork, it came cold but he microwaved it right up. Will be back OFTEN!! read more

I got the 02, beef pho. It tasted normal. The restaurant looked clean and was quaint. There was nothing extra special about what I had. However, the service was terrible. The waiter, owner, manager, whatever he was, was impatient with us and unhelpful. He grimaced at us for asking questions about the menu items. He acted prejudice toward us. I won't be going back. This is our regular go to pho place in north Dallas area. I think we come here about once a week. I have tried many pho places in DFW but this place hands down has the best broth and spring rolls. I absolutely adore this restraint! The vegetables that are offered when eating noodles such as Buon Bo Hue or Pho are delicious and fresh. I enjoy eating here after a hard day volunteering at the church i participate at. My favorite would have to be Pho with broth on the side to have a dry noodle pho experience. I also enjoy eating number 42 and 43, which I believe includes the main rice dishes. The food comes out fast and is definitely worth the price. Will come here again! read more

I went to Pho Pasteur 2 based on reviews I read on yelp. I thought the food was good. I am not an expert on ordering Vietnamese food, so I thought I did okay on the first go around for my plate. I incorrectly ordered my son a big bowl of soup, but that was my mistake for not reading the menu carefully enough. My vermicelli and chicken had a lot of flavor and I also enjoyed the spring rolls. The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was nice, tho a challenge to communicate - but I absolutely did not expect perfect English communication; just wanted to offer that comment so if others do expect it. Pho Pasteur has two great locations (Arlington and Carrollton), and both never disappoints! Whenever I am in the neighborhood, I always try to hit up either location. Tonight I went to Pho Pasteur 2, and I ordered the Pho Tai Gau, while my friend ordered the Pho Dac Biet...both in the extra-large bowl! And it didn't disappoint! Good soup! That just about said it all for a Pho restaurant. The rice noodle is not the cheap dry Chinese package mee fun. There is some chewiness in it. Nicely cook and still a little al-dente. The meat might be the weakest link. When it's so thinly sliced, you would think it is tender but it is rather tough. I also had tripe and they were tough. Next time, I would go with the meat balls. The French coffee was very good and it's only $2.50. Two of my friends had Pho and were impressed. Two other had Bun with BBQ meat. They also enjoyed it. It's hard to find a good pho restaurant in Dallas. Most places are mediocre. Vietnamese food in Dallas hardly compares to what you can find in Houston or Orange County. Fortunately, we do have a small gem in Pho Pasteur 2 (I can't say the same for the location in Richardson). I can rely on them to give me a good bowl of pho with all the delicious herbs/ veggies (it's a good sign when you can find culantro (not talking about cilantro) among them). This is my go to Pho spot. Ive had pho and probably a dozen places and this is still my favorite place for pho. The broth in thr pho is beyond flavorful and the noodles are not too hard and not too soft. I usually get an order of egg rolls or spring rolls to share with whoever I go and get the pho special with everything in it. I even had the rice plates here and they were good, but the portions were not that big for the rice plates. read more
