Pho OK! is beyond just "ok." It's more like "Pho AMAZING!" Being a Vietnamese American foodie, I've tried a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the Dallas Metroplex. I definitely have to say that Pho OK! is one of the better Pho places here in Dallas with the perfect, authentic flavors that hits home for many of us. My first time there, I tried the Bun Bo Hue and the ice coffee (cafe sua da). My dad had the pho. Both of us were, right off the bat, really pleased with how much meat they put in. Our #1 pet peeve being that there's too much noodle for too little meat. I was pretty happy with my bowl of Bun Bo Hue. It was spicy enough to appease the taste buds of a Vietnamese with Hue descent, but at the same time, not so spicy that it's unenjoyable. My dad also said that the pho was very flavorful with the broth really packing a punch. The ice coffee was also really yummy and sweet. Just what one would need to survive midterm week :) Day 2. Yes, there's a day 2. This time, we tried the rice with shrimp, grilled meat, and sunny-side up egg. The seasoning of the shrimp and meat were on par, and the plate, in its entirety, was really filling with plenty of shrimp, meat, and egg to eat. Overall I was pretty happy with food and service. I would definitely recommended to anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to eat authentic, delicious Vietnamese food. The only thing holding back the 5th star is the time waiting for the food. It did take some time, and I was in a rush, but other than that, it's definitely a place I'll coming back to! read more

This place is perfect for the price. It is hard to find good Pho at a cheap price point. We were going to eat Piada, but because it was so cold we changed our mind to Pho. We walked into Pho is for lovers next door and turned right back around, they made their pricers higher and have less food than Pho OK! I remembered this place from about a year ago and knew it was like 5 minutes away from city line and it still is just as good as it was before. We both got the Pho with meatball and beef tenderloin, large is only a dollar more than the small. SO MUCH meat is in there for either size, I forgot to save the picture of the Pho but it was soo good. We also got the spring rolls and again good price and good flavor. Finally a Pho place that is more than OK :) My friends and I decided to go checkout this new pho place on Campbell and 75 that just opened this week. The service was quite good considering that they just opened. Also it is very clean and I can only hope they will maintain it. As to the food, it was all good. I personally ordered the Pho (P1). The broth was tasty and I of course spiked it up the way I like it! What I liked was that it was not oily, and best part was it was not too salty like the way others make it. I would say it is quite healthy as far as Pho is concerned. I could have personally settled for more meat in my Pho, but its definitely very good and I would go back any day for it. My wife had the vermicelli & grilled chicken breast dish and that was really good as well. Our friends ordered the traditional Vietnamese dish called Bun Bo Hue which is a spicier broth dish with all kinds of interesting stuff in it. Supposedly this dish is really hard to make and there is only one restaurant in Dallas that does a descent job, which incidentally happens to be located right next door to Pho OK called Tay Do. Allegedly people drive for over an hour to eat at Tay Do for this Bun Bo Hue dish. Their feedback was that Tay Do better start quivering because Pho OK's Bun Bo Hue knocks the socks off Tay Do's version, and also provides a great alternative for people who want a change of atmosphere from time to time. I highly recommend Pho OK and my silly prediction is that in 6 months, Pho OK will change its name to Pho Awesome :) Enjoy! read more

It used to be a Quiznos ... it remained closed for some time and then we saw someone start to fix the place up. Since Pho OK is a very short walk from work I was able to monitor the progress. Finally we saw some signage and knew it was going to be a Vietnamese restaurant. The first time I ate at a Vietnamese restaurant I knew I liked their food. Then I tried Pho and never liked any soup better. Since then I have eaten pho all over the city and when I'm traveling, I look for it wherever I land. 6th Street Austin has a nice Pho. In fact, I've never had bad Pho (lucky I guess). All that to say, Pho OK is right at the top of the list. There is only one restaurant I'd rate as high, a much larger concern and gets a nudge for atmosphere. Pho OK is definitely a family affair. Mom works diligently to prepare the meals. Pop helps her while working to take orders, fill orders and run the register. Whether it is brother or cousin, I'm not sure, pitches in as well. Yesterday, what I thought was a friend/customer got up and took my order. These folks scurry around getting the job done. The food - hot, fresh and delicious. The guys at work are B5 fans. The look on their faces when they're eating tells the story. I think some of them purposely leave their lunches at home so they can justify eating the B5. Me? I'm a pho fan. Pho Tai is my go to. I've tried several other dishes and loved them ... but - Pho is my love (even though their Chicken soup is a marvel). If there is a drawback to the place it would be that as a small family run business, crowds will delay your meal. The Pho OK fans don't let that get them down - they wait. I did not say their service is slow, I am saying they only have so many hands, which they keep busy until the meals have been served. Vietnam, aka Pho, restaurants are all over the place. I've enjoyed every one I've been to. I am nudging Pho Ok towards the top in hopes you'll give them a try. PS The folks are not kidding about the rolls ... either the A1 or A2. Their egg rolls are different, that's all I'm going to say on the subject. I really like them. I asked for ice, but the owner said no, and brought me some cool pho broth instead in a separate bowl so that I wouldn't dilute the pho broth flavor. The food at this place is amazing and super affordable. It's family owned so the service can be lacking at rush hours. Enough of that introductory crap and get on with the food review. Any small bowl here is $6.75 and the large is $7.75. Don't let the price fool you because that quality of the food is excellent and they still give you a generous amount of proteins. I don't think you can get the same kind of food and quality anywhere else in Dallas. I got their Vietnamese gumbo (bun nuoc leo)which is a seafood bowl with our traditional sauce so the smell and taste might not be for everyone. Their pho is out of this world for a restaurant who's trying to accommodate to the Americans tastebud. Finally their rice dish is simplistic and full of flavors. Went back for the grilled items today. SOOOO GOOD and great pricing too! B6 vermicelli has grilled pork, shrimp and eggroll. C6 rice has grilled pork and egg. A5 pho has the beef tenderloin and brisket Pho. Great meat quality for sure, probably the best I've ever tasted meat-wise! The broth is clear and tasty. We like Pho Bang Garland's broth better but this broth is definitely yummy as well! We will be back regularly for sure! read more

I'm giving this 5 stars not necessarily because everything was 5 stars but I had no complaints, broth in the pho was better imo from other good pho places nearby, and I thought the people working there were very sweet and deserving of a good review :) The only thing I didn't like was a personal preference, the meatballs in the pho had whole peppers as many restaurants do, but I dislike it. My family loved it, so we will be back here again! We ordered the combination fried rice, com thit nuong, and pho ga. All of the ingredients were fresh, and nothing was too greasy. I was impressed Bc the combination fried rice had baby shrimp and REAL Chinese sausage! The pho ga broth had good flavor (not too salty) and large hunks of tender white chicken breast. The thug nuong (pork) was flavorful! The only thing was that the white rice was a bit soggy for me. But everything else was yummy and the customer service was good, so I'm willing to over look that minor issue. :) Can't wait to be back w the fam! read more

Pho OK is our new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food quality is a cut above all the Vietnamese restaurants I've eaten (besides Zander's House when it was open). No msg! The bone broth is made from simmering bones for over 24 hours. The broth sometimes coagulates into gelatin when stored in the fridge. Good stuff. Great value for the money. The only issue I have with the restaurant is the unpredictable hours when it's opened last year. I've not eaten at Pho OK! recently so I don't know if it's still an issue. This is my favorite pho restaurant in all DFW (and I've been to quite a few). Their soups are light and not oily. Their tenderloin is actually tenderloin and so tender! Their noodles are perfect and you can tell that they didn't simply put a block of cold noodles in hot soup! I love their bun bo hue - so flavorful, not greasy/oily like most other places. The food tasted great and must be authentic since I saw most of the customers there were Vietnamese. I'm surprise that this place is not busier. So that worries me. I came here for lunch. And I ordered the vermicelli with pork, shrimp, and an egg roll. Also the spring rolls. The spring rolls are good. I just with the sauce was served warm. Other than that, it's delicious! Did them in shriracha for some spice! The vermicelli was very fresh! The noodles were fresh. The meat is very good. As mentioned in another review the egg roll was quite doughy. And the shrimp had a different taste. It has that xa xui/char siu taste to the shrimp. I wanted some legit pho and wanted my boyfriend to experience good authentic pho. As we walked in, a little Vietnamese lady asked us where would we like to sit as the restaurant was kind of empty. We ordered the egg rolls and beef pho. We chat until the food came and both of us was silent for awhile. We both were pleasantly surprised that the pho and egg rolls tasted so deliciously like it was from Vietnam. The best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to, hands down. My wife and I come here more than we'd like to admit (if we're not cooking at home, you can probably find us here). We've eaten almost everything on the menu and it is all wonderful. The vermicelli bowls are fantastic - the grilled pork in particular is to die for! Egg rolls are truly authentic. The Pho broth is extremely flavorful and the portions are always filling. Most places we've eaten Vietnamese the beef in the pho tai is dry, but the beef they use here is consistently melt in your mouth tender. Also, be sure to try their lemonade, it's really fresh squeezed! This is the epitome of a small, family owned restaurant that cares about the food it serves. Came here very hungry and left stuffed and very happy! Husband and I ordered Thai tea and it was delicious. We had both appetizers, the spring rolls and egg rolls, so fresh, great flavors and very generous portions. I had chicken and rice and husband got the filet pho bowl. Amazing. Presentation was beautiful and again, very generous portions. We were brought water before I ever had to ask for it, it was like my mind was read. Bun Nuoc Leo (b8 in menu) was a pleasant surprise. Nowadays, it's rare to see a restaurant put this much effort putting into a dish. All ingredients are fresh and homemade. See my pics. They made the own roast pork which was very good, just like First Chinese BBQ in Richardson. They made their own fish balls and put salmon roe inside. They used big fresh shrimps and catfish fillets. Wanted to order the bahn mi's but the customer before me ended up getting the last one so I didn't get a chance to try, but I will definitely be coming back to! My friend got the beef brisket pho, which he said was really good in terms of the amount of meat that was given and I ordered the chicken pho which was also great! Pho is good but it's the last time I'm coming here. Service is better than the first time I came. My problem with this place is sanitation. The owners bring their child to work and they let him do whatever he wants. I just witnessed him stick his action figure Power Ranger toy into the ice machine. He then proceeds to grab the tongs for the lemons and plays with that. The toy has been in his mouth and on the ground. This is not something you want in a ice machine. The second I saw this I stopped drinking the ice water I got. I'm quite ill from thinking about what could be in my drink. read more

First time tried Bun Bo Hue. I would say it is similar to Pho, but reacher in all verity of flavors. The owner was nice, explaining how to eat it right, so can experience it right. :) $8 for huge bowl with all kind of meats in there. Not sure how he makes a profit. :) read more
