I saw this restaurant recommended on an SGV Restaurants Facebook page, and given its proximity to me, I decided to give it a try. I ordered a pho dac biet (house special beef pho with flank, wagyu, tripe, and tendon), and a pork chop rice with egg quiche and salad. I added two spring rolls with the latter entree, and I also asked for the bean sprouts to be cooked. They take their time with the preparation, and I had to wait a while, which was ok. The wait was worth it. Some of the beef for the pho was raw and packaged separately (I think it's because under dine-in the beef would cook in hot broth and be rare beef), so we heated up the broth at home and cooked the beef. Otherwise, the quality of the beef was good and the broth was amazing. The pho was standard, but the broth and beef were really good. I loved the pork chop. Despite having to drive home after pickup the pork still tasted very good, and it was not too tough or dry. The pork retained much of its juices. The rice was also very good, as was the salad with the standard Vietnamese vinegar. The spring rolls unfortunately became a bit soggy by the time I came home, but the flavor was still there. Many of my favorite Vietnam restaurants were closed during the coronavirus pandemic, so I decided to try somewhere new and support local businesses. I ordered the Nem Nuong Cha Ram, Bun Tom Ng w/ bbq pork, Com Bu luc luc, and a side of egg rolls through their online website for curbside pick up. The Nem Nuong summer rolls were okay. The Vermicelli with shrimp and pork is good. I really enjoyed the pork, so I'll recommend their bbq pork dishes. The com bu luc luc was slightly overcooked. The star of the meal was the egg rolls. I really wished they have english descriptions and photos on their ordering app. I was going between their ig photos and yelp, and basically guess what I'm ordering. When you're ordering to go, I suggest being precise on your order for add-ons and condiments. If you like a lot of green onion oil, tell them to add extra. This was my go to Pho place. I visited first time in couple of months and it changed so much that I am not coming back. The broth was cold enough that it didn't cook my raw meat and the service was below par. This is not what I expected and I can see why the place was so empty. I rather see an increase in price. I brought back the wrong order, and they took it back to the kitchen to do whatever they will (Hopefully they won't serve it to the next person who orders it... Yikes!). Favorite spot in Alhambra! The food is always good and their drinks as well. They haven't let us down before and trust me, we've been going ever since they opened up! They currently have an outdoor dining set up outside their restaurant to help maintain COVID guidelines. I am a regular here and often come for birthdays in a party of at least 12 each time. Tonight I walked in and asked for a table of 2, and was immediately rejected with a response of "sorry, our last call time is 8:30." To my confusion, I asked "don't you close at 9:30?" It was 8:33. 3 minutes past! The worker responded with "we closed everything up already." Weird, because there were many tables full of families still eating. Because "everything is closed up," I was not even able to place a to-go order. The 9:30pm closing time is very misleading and should be 8:30 if thats when they wrap everything up. Regardless, I am very disappointed with how business here was conducted and hope that the management takes care of this issue. read more

I went here with my sister, and dad for my birthday lunch. We were a little disappointed because we had to wait over 40 minutes to open an hour after their scheduled time to open because they were closed for the first hour for cleaning. My dad and my sister ordered the house special with the raw beef on the side. I was surprised to see that there were 16 vegetarian options. I ordered the vegetarian egg rolls and the pho soy chicken. The veggie egg rolls were delicious and so was the soy chicken. I was not a fan of the broth. The broth tasted bland and so did the spring rolls. I'll be back again. Service was good. I always ask for the rare steak on the side of my pho but make sure you put it in before the bean sprouts or the broth won't be hot enough to cook meat. Egg rolls are crispy and perfect! My Mom ordered the House Combination Pho and I got something that was close to Pho Tai. Pho tasted better than I expected. The broth was not too greasy and the flavor was definitely there. It tasted like what I expect pho to be. Some places put too much spice that its too much to my personal taste. But pho here at Pho N Mor was just fine personally. After so many years I have passed by this place finally had the time to check this modest restaurant. We came here on a late afternoon for a late lunch. I perused their menu and ordered the Soy Cajun Chicken and a Thai Tea. The Soy Cajun Chicken, is a stir fry soy chicken with onion smothered in cajun sauce over rice. It's very flavorful and a lil spicy. And Thai tea was smooth and sweet. I must say their food and drink were great. Staff, a young white male, was obsequious, nice and followed health protocol. Service was mildly fast. Prices were reasonable. Parking was easy. In this voluminous review, I'd say we had a good lunch experience and food. Their pho is phenomenal. So are their pork spring rolls. What was atrocious though was the bun bo hue. It came with the broth almost to the rim, which I thought was a good sign. Then I tasted the broth, which had a raw lemongrass flavor and was not good. Then I fished for a noodle in the vat of soup, tasted it, and realized it was overcooked to a slop. I came here with my boyfriend for dinner because my boyfriend was craving pho. He ordered the pho tai and I ordered the soy pepper steak with garlic noodles. My boyfriend thought the pho was okay but could be better. I tried the broth and I liked it. The broth tastes clean and healthy compared to other restaurants. I really enjoyed the soy pepper steak even though I'm not a vegetarian. The tofu was really delicious and I'd order it again! The drinks were a miss for me. We ordered the avocado smoothie and lychee berry green tea. I could barely taste avocado in the smoothie until we got to the bottom. They're food and drinks are a bit more expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants but I wouldn't expect anything less since their interior looks more modern.
