After a few months, Pho Ha has become the go to pho restaurant between myself and the coworkers. We can drive here, order, eat, pay, and get back to the office in less than 40 minutes! Sometimes they do get really slow and won't bring you back your change/credit card for a good 5 to 10 minutes, so that's a little bit of a bummer. Watch out for that if you're coming on a suuuper busy day. Their lunch times are still super packed no matter the weather outside. It can be 100+ degrees outside and they will still be a full house. Thank God for their super strong A/C that doesn't make you sweat bullets as you eat your pho. Their orders roll out pretty quick and the soup is ALWAYS piping hot. Their fatty brisket here has to be my favorite. Generous amounts of meat with a good amount of noodles as well. Prices are pretty average for a pho place around this area. For the quality of meat and the enormous portions, I really don't mind it at all! read more

My first dine in experience at this pho ha restaurant was exceptional! We went on a busy saturday night to celebrate a birthday. We had a party of 20 people. The wait was not too long because the location is big. It used to be a Bob's Big Boys burger joint. I prefer this location over the old Pho Ha location. So much cleaner & more modern! We ordered a lot of food. Unfortunately, we ate most of it before I took pictures. We ordered spring rolls, egg roles, pho, bun, and com tam. Everything was extremely fresh! I ordered #1 pho this time. Next time I will most likely get the Bun. It was delicious. The charbroiled beef was on point. The broth for the pho was pretty good. I was not too crazy about the meat in there, it was kind of tough. Not a good reason to deduct stars though. The portions they gave us were extremely generous and customer service was great. Came here last Friday around 8:30PM and it was pretty packed but thankfully the wait didn't take long, took about 10-15 minutes before we were sat down. Their tables are mostly communal with bar seating for lone eaters (and larger parties if you really want to eat and talk sideways). I liked that the place is much roomier than Bob's Big Boy and now the place is far more open spaced. We ordered egg rolls (3 pcs), side order of meatballs, two extra larges of (beef slices) pho ($10.00) and a beef cube salad ($15.00). My Vietnamese friend was pretty shocked to see a regular is "extra large" here compared to other pho places we've been to so definitely far more expensive than what we were expecting. On the other hand, we were very impressed the salad was HUGE, although awfully greasy. The beef cubes were nicely cooked, it was tender and juicy with very nice flavorful seasoning. I ended up just eating the meat cubes because the lettuces ended up getting drenched in oil. Overall of the dishes were average from our perspective, it wasn't bad, but wasn't exactly mindblowing either nor did it leave an everlasting impression on us. Our waitress was really attentive and very nice though! It's just really the price for quality here that doesn't exactly justify the reason why they charge so much for essentially a food that was created as a cheap eats (unless rent really is that expensive at that location). Our bill ended up being $40.00 for two people ($50.00 total for three) which is double of what we usually pay for for the same things we normally order elsewhere AND we usually get free dessert. read more

Definitely a decent pho spot! I came here on a Sunday for lunch with a group of 11 people, and they were able to accommodate and seat us promptly. I had the regular-sized bowl of pho tai, and enjoyed it (it really hit the spot!). Both the meat and the broth were pretty flavorful. Everyone else in my party also ordered pho, so unfortunately I can't speak for any of their other dishes. I also want to note that this restaurant is spacious and clean. I really appreciated the service, our server came back to check on us multiple times and we definitely did not have to flag her down. Another thing to note is that the prices are slightly higher than your typical pho restaurant (I.e. $8.75 for regular sized bowl of pho). I came here w a friend around 8pm on a Monday evening and it was not crowded. The ambiance of the place had a modern feel/decorations w lots of bamboo and grey/wooden features. We both ordered pho and were served fairly quickly! It felt like our food came out in less than 5 minutes. The soup was piping hot(which I loved). The broth was a little bit on the salty side, but I'm typically overly sensitive about saltiness. It seemed to taste less salty as the soup cooled down, or my taste buds just got used to it. Unfortunately, my friend found a hair in his soup, which we immediately notified our server. They were instantly apologetic and replaced the soup completely within a few minutes. They also took his pho off the bill since it was such an unfortunate experience. This place is the same ownership as the other Pho Ha location, which my family loves to go to. What's the difference? Why does the plus mean? Extra Service? The plus might as well stand for Pho Ha Plus (hair). I really wanted to like this place, because the service at the other location can sometimes be nonexistent, I would be willing to spend a little more (since prices are more expensive here) for better service. Despite the gross and unfortunate experience, I felt that the server and manager did a decent job at trying to remedy their mistake. For the time being, I am a little hesitant to return, but because I am such an avid pho- lover, I'm sure I'll find myself returning again: I will just quickly skim my food, order my meat on the side, and just make sure it looks safe/clean to eat. Place looks new and clean, so it's a good place to eat with friends. The bowls were decently sized, we only ordered the big bowls and shared amongst us, so I'm not sure about the regular size. I've had better pho, with richer broth, but there was not really anything wrong with this one, except that it didnt feel like good value. Lookig at the menu prices posted here and on yelp, I've realized how much of a crazy price increase they':e done. These are the prices of pho and crosschecked with the date the photo was posted to yelp: $9.45 2 years ago (1 size) $10.75/9.75 1 year ago (big/small) $11.75/10.75 5 months ago $12.75/11.75 today While I understand a small increase every year or couple of years to adjust with inflation and ingredient prices, I think that increasing $1/bowl per 6 months is a bit too much. That's a 16% increase in just 1 year (not counting 2 years ago since they served 1 size at the time). We come from the heart of the bay area, and pho is around the same price. With so many more options in Rowland Heights and surroundings, this price doesnt seem competitive to me. I'm not against this restaurant, if they believe this is their price point, that's their decision, and I know there are people willing to pay it because it looks like a cleaner restaurant, but I'll stick to my small hole in the wall authentic vietnamese restaurant that serves pho for $10 :) One thing I did wish to have tried the bone marrow pho; saw several tables trying it, and I'd be willing to pay a bit extra for some novelty pho. This pho restaurant just opened up in Walnut and upon entry I was a little skeptical since the prices on the menu were a little steep compared to what I'm used to paying at Vietnamese restaurants but I was surprised upon receiving my order with how much food I was given. I ordered a Charbroiled Chicken Vermicelli bowl and my friends all ordered a regular sized pho. All of our orders were HUGE. The regular sized pho here would have been a large at other places. I got 2.5 meals out of my vermicelli bowl - that's how big it was. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is very clean still since it's new. I don't know if I would come back... maybe if I was in the area and wanted pho? It's a pretty large restaurant and it seemed very busy during the Monday lunch hour that we went. I tried calling in for lunch with my coworker but the phone line was constantly busy after calling 3 times so we ended up just going there direct. We walked in and there was like 4 tables occupied so it was pretty empty. We then proceeded to the "take-out" front table and the worker was on his phone and we stood there awkwardly like... "is he going to acknowledge us...?" He then looked up and looked back down at his phone! A lady came from the back and asked us how she can help. We tell her we would like to order to-go and she instantly looks to her left at the guy and he puts his phone down and then he's finally like "what would you like..." in a very mono toned manner. The name confused me a bit but I don't live in this area so I simply forgot its name. Think about W hotel. Who's time to remember three names? The listening skills of clerks are average. I basically had to repeat twice to order a spring roll and a basic pho with steaks and tendon. Correction: tendon cubes were 3, not 1. I asked the clerk to run bean sprouts over boiling water and he executed that. Just for that, I gave them 5 stars. There's a FBI look European American walking in, followed by a young Hispanic guy after I finished half bowl of my delicious pho. They're finally open! I frequent the Pho Ha on Gale with my family. We love going there so we were excited to find out that there was one opening down the street from our house. It's just their soft opening so they are still trying to figure everything out. The food tasted great. The service was also very good. Many of the servers and the owner kept asking how the food was tasting, if we needed anything, and how everything was going. Younger lady provided excellent customer service even though she seemed very busy. Price is a little high for pho, but their portions are HUGE. My sister and I shared an "extra large" bowl of pho and couldn't finish it. The only options are regular and extra large btw. Pho Ha is one of the few pho places I know of that sells the vermicelli that you wrap with meat and veggies. That's always one of our favorite dishes. We also asked for the Clipper/Laker game to be put on one of the many tvs. The owner changed it without any problems. Yay! Honestly, the playlist could be better. They played calming, instrumental songs which is cool I guess. The server brought out this soup bowl with a massive bone marrow sticking out of it. We searched the menu looking for that item, but apparently that wasn't on the menu yet and they were giving it to the owner's friends to try. We asked the server what it was and the cook (?) came out and asked us how many we would want free of charge! Nice! Honestly, this is the best thing ever. They cooked it for ten hours. The fat and tendon were bomb and the marrow was so soft and just melts in your mouth. Sooo good! This place is absolute chaos. I dined here for lunch on a weekday. I was enticed to dine here when I saw their outdoor patio with plexiglass table dividers. That was the only thing that impressed me. Everything went downhill from there. I should have left when I saw all the many tables behind and in front of me calling the servers over to complain because they've been waiting nearly 40 minutes for their food. That should have been my first warning. They have 2 servers working here. 1 of them basically only cleans the tables and ignores you while the other server does the rest of the work(aka take orders, bring food out). You can tell that the one server that does all the work is overwhelmed with all the customers. He's getting complaints left and right. He was also making so very many mistakes. In my time there, I heard 3 other tables complain that they got the wrong food. For example, the table sitting across from me ordered fried egg rolls but instead received spring rolls. It took nearly 20 minutes for him to come by and take my order. I ordered a plain Large Vietnamese noodle soup. I got lucky and my food came out within 15 minutes. I think it was partly because my meal was so simple to make(noodle+soup) plus it conveniently came out with a batch of other noodle soups that the table behind me had ordered 40 minutes ago. I know some of the other customers were frustrated when they saw that my order arrived before theirs when they've been waiting so long. Like many of the other customers, this waiter did get my order wrong. I ordered a Large but got a Small. I told him it was fine and I'd just take the small. I was scared of the wait time if he had to redo my order. After dropping off my food, I realized that he never gave me any utensils. I had to track him down for some utensils and sauces. What put the final nail in the coffin for me is when the bill came. To my surprise, I got charged $3 more that what was listed on the menu price! I assumed it might be because he charged me for a Large instead of the Small I received. I went up to the cash register to tell my waiter. He then redid the bill and it only lowered my bill by $1. My noodle soup was still $2 above the listed menu price. I even pulled out the menu to show him the price difference. The waiter then told me "Oh, sorry I'm new here. I only started working here at the end of last year. I can't do anything about the prices. That's what comes up on my cash register." He's already been working here a few months so I don't consider that "new." However, I also don't expect even the senior waiters to have the prices memorized. What I do expect though is for him to fix the issue or at least attempt it! Go talk to your manager and get this issue resolved! As a restaurant, it's completely dishonest to advertise one price on the menu and charge you something else. That's called stealing. New pho place that just opened right by my boyfriend's place, yay! I was excited when I saw the "coming soon" sign a while back. As soon as I saw it was opening, I had to come try it ASAP. So I guess this place has 2 other locations. One in Rowland Heights and the other in Rancho Cucamonga. I have been to the Rowland location & it's pretty good. So anyways, I came while it's soft opening and the place was actually pretty busy! I was surprised. We got seated after about 5 mins. My boyfriend and I both ordered the house special pho. It was pretty good. But the broth was a bit oily though, like I was able to see the oil bubbles in the broth and after eating my lips felt oily. The price is also higher than normal for their Phos. Contrary to many reviews of this restaurant, my first dine in experience here was pretty great. Tawny welcomed our party of 3 during their busy lunch hour. The environment is clean and decorative, and I can say this will most likely be my new go-to spot for pho or if I'm craving for Viet food. We ordered spring rolls, two bowls of pho (#1 & #10), a vermicelli bowl with charbroiled pork and egg rolls (#44), and a fresh coconut (really hit the spot especially in this hot weather). Our food was served to us in a timely manner. I truly appreciate the use of FRESH INGREDIENTS that goes into each dish. The broth was perfect to taste, the meat was on point, and I enjoyed every bite of what I ate. As for the vermicelli bowl, it was HUGE. After mixing all the noodles, vegetables, and meat together, though, I realize it's actually decently portioned. Glad I can make 2 meals out of this! Whether I enjoy this meal heavily depends on the quality of the meat and eggrolls. Meat was fresh and generously portioned. The eggrolls were crispy, even after pouring the fish sauce into the bowl ---- 5 stars. I've ordered "fresh" coconut from other pho restaurants in the past with quality that just isn't comparable to the one I had today. It might've been just our luck to be given a really FRESH coconut with a wholesome serving of smooth yet chewy coconut meat, but I also believe the owner does a fantastic job with providing only the best ingredients possible despite it being my first and only time here. I was driving from a long distance to get to this place. I asked if they were offering dine in this evening. The person on the phone politely said yes and I said great I'll be driving in soon. I get there at 7:35 and I'm told they did last call and I could not dine there. I said that has to be a mistake because I just called at 7:18 and your employee said there was still dine in. The first employee was really rude and I was getting frustrated while trying to explain the situation. He then just leaves and I believe the owner came out. Hmmmm, I thought...when Bob's Big Boy closed down and we saw the sign that Pho Ha Plus was "coming soon," I got rather excited. Another pho option close buy, and seemed bigger than all of the other places, in the cases where we needed to eat out as a large group; and with my family being 16+ with just immediate members after Sunday mass, well, this place is definitely going to be an option. We finally got the chance to see what all the hype was all about... Walking in, I coujld definitely see that they can host a large group easily; it's a more upscale looking facility, the decor and flooring to name a few are quick to spot and pretty impressive, esp for a Pho place. It was dinner time on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy, my family and I were still seated within 5 minutes but they did tell us there was open seating at the bar, so that always looks like an option if you're rollin with just a small crew. Anyway, we sat down and were handed the menus...and the first thing I noticed was...$8.75 and $9.45 for a regular and large pho, respectively...DAYAMN, that's a little more than I typically expect to pay for Pho. But as stated in the initial impression of the place, it's more upscale than your typical pho restaurant. The broth was decent, but I add the hoisin and sriracha right away so I always change the flavor of the broth...but I do taste it initially and it was just okay. They don't skimp on the amount of meat, so the serving size was decent enough. We were full as usual, so no complaints there. One thing I had that was different from the norm was their Passion fruit drink, I forget what it was called exactly, but it came with tajin powder on top, and after mixing it...it was very good. Parking can get busy, it's a busy plaza, but the lot is pretty big, you can walk a little. Service - Gotta say that the service was very good; they were pretty attentive and friendly and got to us quickly. We were in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. The ambiance of the place is pretty nice, they have several large tv's that had the Laker game and baseball game on, and the crowd was pretty mixed; I think I could hear club music in the background, he he he. Come in for the first time with a friend during dinner time. We ordered the #20 Veggie Noodle Soup and #34 Porkchop Meatloaf combo dish. The food came out pretty quick and nice moderate portions at this location. The different versions of pork tasted pretty good and the noodle soup was also pretty good. I forgot to ask the staff when I was there. Are the drinks refillable? I avoided the drinks on the menu because of the price because I know driving a couple of minutes going west there's a lot of coffee and milk tea spots. read more

Did my first take out order today. When doing take out you are always at a disadvantage. The food is packed up and you don't know the food quality getting until it's unpacked I ordered 2 egg rolls and got one limp lettuce and one limp basil. I am here with my sister and it's still their soft opening but boy are they packed. They have only part of the restaurant opened and even then there are no available seats cause we had to wait about 7 minutes for us to get just a table for 2. The one thing I love about THIS Pho Há is that the waiters and waitresses aren't just Vietnamese like their other locations. Even though the layout of this Pho Há is massive I still feel like they added unnecessary seating, especially where I'm seated (right next to the giant bamboo sticks, Table E4) they have 3, 2 seat tables and quite frankly it's annoying having the other party step out of their seat and hit the back of mine and I even see the guys pushing those carts to clean the tables have a hard time too). I do have a feeling though that with 7, yes SEVEN, massive TVs throughout this place this may be the spot to watch the games going on like football, basketball, etc. SO DOPE. The service here though is SLOW. I understand it's packed but the speed the food comes out is glacial compared to other pho spots. Our server, Rhyzelle, was amazing. When we sat down she took care of us real quick. When we placed our order, we probably waited a good 15 minutes for our food to come out. My sister and I got the #1 Regular. THE BROTH HERE IS AMAZING. Super flavorful, hot and just absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and you definitely get a TON of meat. We ordered extra onions on the side, and they forgot to bring it out but when we asked Andy if we could get the side of onions he brought it right out, we didn't have to wait!! Woot! I was excited to see another Vietnamese Pho restaurant in the Diamond bar / Walnut area since Vietnamese food selection here is whitewashed and inauthentic, unlike the what you could find in Little Saigon, Orange County. I took my friends here for the "soft opening" since Pho Ha has three restaurants and the one in Rancho Cucamonga is average but not horribly bad. This one is the exception. I suppose they called it "soft opening" because they really haven't gotten the protocol down when it comes to service and food quality control/preparation. The food is totally inauthentic with a lot of gratuitous foo foo that is not germane to the original Vietnamese recipes. We ordered average standard run of the mill items off the menu and it was terrible. One of my grilled vermicelli and eggrolls dish was missing eggrolls. The pho dish was loaded with msg and you can literally taste it. The food came out separately with a long lag time in between so as my friends were finishing up with their food, I'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting. To top it all off the food was pricey and service was really bad. I do not recommend anyone going to this place if they are looking for authentic, original Vietnamese food. Drive another 10 minutes down Colima to Rowland Heights and you'll find a plethora of authentic family owned Vietnamese restaurants that is vastly cheaper and way tastier for the price. Pho Ha Plus had been open for a few months, but had not gotten the chance to try it out until recently. A few of my coworkers have tried it out and mentioned good things. This location will forever be Bob's Big Boy to me. My family and I used to frequent their weekend breakfast buffets. The parking lot can be a bit hard to find parking especially during weekday lunch times due to the Hannam Chain and numerous restaurants also located in the same plaza. The front door is a bit confusing, it is located to the left, when walking from the parking lot. Upon walking in, I noticed all the huge TV screens everywhere with soccer games being broadcast. As a fan of soccer, it was great to see so many different games being broadcast. Interior is spacious but dark color hues are the focal point for the restaurant and the restrooms. Not a fan as I like vibrant colors that welcome a customer. #1 House Special Combo (regular) #70 Egg Rolls (4) The food was good but the prices were a bit higher than I remembered for the Pho Ha location on Gale/Fullerton. Once ordered, the food does come out quite fast so it's great if you are super hungry. Overall, Pho Ha Plus is like the 5th Vietnamese pho restaurant in Diamond Bar. If you are craving pho or other Vietnamese fare, Pho Ha Plus will satisfy your cravings. Or the other 4 options in the area. read more

I have been coming here since the day they opened and I did not want to give them this kind of review but I have to. This is to warn you (if you are reading this far) of my heavy D experience so you don't have to be writing this at 3am cause your stomach won't let you sleep. Like I said on the beginning this was my go to spot to get my pho fix at least once a month, sometimes twice. I was here about 2 weeks ago and ordered my usual the bone marrow soup. When I got home my stomach was like a civil war. I dismissed it as a fluke, a bad day in the their kitchen, perhaps, so here we are today and gave Pho Ha Plus another chance. After waiting for more than 20 minutes for our food and without any explanation from any of the waiters, I flagged one down and asked what was going on with our food. The waiter came back and apologized and explained that the kitchen was backed up due to the sudden influx of customers. I said okay and waited patiently as we did earlier. After almost 10 minutes my wife was almost done with her chow mien (and she was eating very slowly), our soup finally arrived. I had the combo, my son in-law had the seafood and my daughter had vegetarian pho. After devouring them pho I had this sudden urge to go to the restroom and tried to hold it until we got home but I was not able to. It takes a lot of real bad stuff to get my stomach going. I once had over a hundred pieces of sashimi in one sitting and had no issues whatsoever. But this one got me good. On the way home I had to stop at the LA fitness parking lot cause my son in-law had to throw up. I don't know what they put in that pho but it sure made us sick. I am going to look for a new spot to get my pho cause I am not going to be back here and give them my hard earned money so they can make me sick again!!! To the owner and management of this establishment, I have seen a constant decline in the quality of you pho and your customer service. I hope you fix this before you get sued. read more

What?! A Pho Ha in the neighborhood, doesn't get much better than that! Today is their official grand opening! Still has some of their signature smoothies, jackfruit smoothie is my fav! Ordered a pho dac biet regular with a charbroiled pork and shrimp over vermicelli with veggie wrap. Food was delicious! Bill came out to $25. Super stoked you guys are here! Service was prompt and there are plenty tables. Good for large parties. Currently they are serving free soda/coffee until 5/23 as per of their grand opening. Broth was good, but your typical pho restaurant. On the lighter side and not super rich and heavy. Noodles were good and the beef slices were also soft and good. No complaints but no surprises here either. read more
