Sesame chicken broth is too heavy on oil. Too salty. Too much oil. This is not healthy at all. Avoid this place at all cost.

My goodness, the buttered crab was freaking fantastic, the eel was great, the lemon pepper salmon delicious. We need to get Atoyubu out into the mainstream, we need them to be on every street corner. I was so hyped eating these little pockets of flavor that I couldn't stop. I think next time I'll have to order 100. But in all honesty, for a single person 3-4 is perfect amount, they are packed with rice and a great deal of toppings, and each flavor is better than the last. Ambiance inside the restaurant is super chill and great for a little date or to bring the whole family and chow down. Love this place overall 11/10, hope they stick around and blow up!!!

Usually people come and go so there should be an available seat. They have a kiosk! It may take a bit of time for the food to arrive but it's worth it. They have a station for all the utensils and more ready at the counter. The staff are nice and friendly. I had most of the salmon dishes and the crab. They were all really good. Maybe a bit heavy on the sauces but still tasty. They were warm inside but still easy to pick up. It can get a bit messy though. I do like the little containers they arrive in. It's worth trying out. I would like to try more flavors next time!

Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store - Tomatoes from plants sold at Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store Tomatozania event

Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store

I could honestly write forever about Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store, and that alone should tell you how…read morespecial this place is. Yes, it's a farmers market style spot, and yes, things are going to be more expensive than a regular grocery store, but that's not the point. You come here for quality, for experience, and most importantly, for the orange juice. I cannot stress this enough. The orange juice is what they're known for and for good reason. It is absolutely bomb. I've come during peak season and off season, and while today's juice wasn't exactly what I had in my head, it was still incredibly good. When it's in season, it's next level. Truly one of those things you just have to try at least once, although once usually turns into every visit. What makes this place even better is that so many of the products are student made. As an alumni, this spot really captures what a college campus and college town should feel like. It's student run, student supported, and you can feel that pride in every interaction. The students are genuinely kind, helpful, and excited to be there. Today especially, everyone was incredibly welcoming. I even told one of them I was thinking about writing a review and they encouraged me to try something new, which led me to trying the milk for the first time. While they don't make the milk themselves, the brand they carry is excellent. I tried both the banana milk and the chocolate milk and wow. These are officially becoming staples in my home. There is so much to choose from that it can almost be overwhelming, and that's not a bad thing. One of the students helping me was a freshman and didn't know the answer to one of my questions, which was totally fine because there really are that many items. It honestly just made the experience feel more real and authentic. The store itself is adorable and has so many cute photo opportunities. Everything is nicely laid out, peaceful, and welcoming. They also sell plants, which I've purchased before, and while mine are still young and haven't produced fruit yet, they're healthy and doing great. Parking is never an issue, which is a huge plus. They even have a little van area that makes it easy for people to enjoy the space without stress. There's also a petting farm in the same shopping area, which adds to the charm. The entire place is thoughtfully built and well designed. You can grab something to eat or drink, walk around, play some games out front, and just enjoy being there. It's calm, peaceful, and grounding. While you might expect it to be full of students, you actually see a lot of community members too, which makes it feel like a true gathering place rather than just a campus store. This is absolutely worth the drive. More universities should follow this model because it genuinely strengthens the connection between the school and the surrounding community in the best way possible. Give it a shot. Seriously. Come with an open mind, try something new, support the students, and do not leave without getting the orange juice. You will not regret it.

This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

There were plenty of parking as it's in a shared plaza. For the store, it's a moderate size but it was definitely busy at the time we went. For ordering, you'll need to order at the counter before sitting down. After browsing the menu, we decided on the pink vodka pasta and the rich miso pasta (Taiwanese sausage added). American Express is accepted as a payment option. The staff gave us a number to place on the table we sat at but we were free to grab any seat we liked. For seating, there were a few tables for parties of two and limited tables for bigger groups. Keep in mind if you need water or extra napkins, they'll have those near the bar seating. Both the Pink Vodka Pasta and Rich Miso Pasta exceeded our expectations! The miso pasta leans on the creamy side but pairs very well with the pink vodka pasta. The miso pasta didn't come with any protein by default, so we were glad that we added the Taiwanese sausage. Fun fact is that the meatball from the Pink Vodka Pasta is vegan! The portion size was super generous from both dishes and was beyond just two people. I wasn't expecting to discover pasta dishes that I'd consider as one of my favorites from this visit! I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

I bought the: - Tofu pudding/dessert tofu/dou hua with brown sugar on the side - Delicious and silky! The brown sugar was light and added just enough sweetness to complement the tofu. - Taro buns (5 ct) - This is the best taro bun my family and I ever had. The breadskin is so light and fluffy. The taro paste filling was not overly dense nor sweet. You can really taste the taro in the filling. - Organic scallion buns (6 ct) - This is the best scallion bun my family and I ever had. We could taste the scallion flavor without it being too strong. The bun was a touch denser than the taro bun. - Meat and veggie buns - The meat and veggie filling was delicious and not too saltym. The veggies in the filling still has a crunch to them (unlike buns I've tried from other places). The bun itself was light and not too dense. - Unsweetened soy milk - The soy milk was light and the perfect consistency. It isn't thick or grainy like some other soy milks can be. - Tofu jerky - Flavorful, but not too salty. Great pairing with a bowl of rice! - Zongzi (Taiwanese style) - Delicious and light. Also not too salty or rich. The shop itself is small, but very clean and organized. The shop owner is so cute and enthusiastic about all of her products. She shared how to best store them since she doesn't use preservatives and how to heat them. There is a handwritten menu in Chinese on a board to the side of the refrigerated section. The refrigerator doors also had photos of the item with the name in English and Chinese, and the price. The non-refrigerated part of the store has shelves with sauces you could use to prepare/cook your tofu. Cash and credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) accepted, although there is a 5% charge for using credit card. They're located at the very end of Front St (dead end). They're in the brick building with no signage/store name. If the door is locked during the posted business hours, just ring the doorbell and the owner will open the door for you. Parking is shared with other shops on this street. With the flow of customers coming and going, I never had any issues finding a spot.

Overall fantastic spot to get some freshly made soy products - milk, tofu, everything made with tofu and some random things like frozen dumplings. I also came here for some pretty yogurt bowls. I ended up picking green grapes, mangos, and strawberries for my yogurt bowl. The layout of the store was very interesting because it looked like a mini market, and they sell fresh exotic fruits and snacks. Ordering a yogurt was a bit confusing because I did not see any pricing, but they had some instructions on how to order. Step 1: Choose dry Greek yogurt. Step 2: Pick up your fresh fruits (limit 3 items). Step 3: Choose Topping (Oats, coconut chips, or boom boom pearl). Step 4: Honey or Dark Chocolate My daughter picked a small jar of Organic blue spirulina with coconut dry yogurt. Then she picked green grapes, mangos, and strawberries for her yogurt bowl. And we also picked boom boom pearl for topping, and chose honey at the end. Then the lady told me that the price was $24.08. It was pricey. I don't understand their pricing or explanation, even though I have the receipt. She told me that it took about 10-15 minutes to make it. Honestly, for the small jar of organic blue spirulina with coconut dry yogurt, it tasted a bit sour, and I was not a fan of it. The presentation of the yogurt was nice; however, for the price that we paid, it was still a bit ripped off. The fruits were fresh, and the boom boom pearl tasted like popping boba was interesting. The Greek Yogurt was a bit too thick. I would rather go to the Açaí bowl place to have more fresh fruit and a bigger portion. The lady was friendly and helpful. But I would rather go to Açaí bowl and Yogurtland combined next time. P.S. I forgot to mention that they were out of honey, so no honey in the yogurt bowl.
