I've been to Vietnamese restaurants in manhattan and Pho Fans is right up there with them. We ordered beef broth combination & chicken with white meat. Huge bowls, plenty of meat & good flavor. My wife thought the smooth silky texture of the chicken was weird. The crispy pork spring rolls wrapped in lettuce were absolutely delicious, dipped in fish oil, big thumbs up, be careful, they're right out of the oil hot! I'll be back. Guys, this is the best Pho for the price I've ever had on long island. I ordered the combination Pho, and the pork chop app. The pho is complex just like in Chinatown spots, broth is on point, I asked for extra veggies and was given it. The pho has meatballs, tendon, round, brisket...only thing missing was tripe but that's not a big deal. Bowl had plenty of noodles and broth. The noodles were the perfect al dente. The pork chop appetizer is huuuge!! Highly recommend this app. It's delicious with lots of Miami, salty and sweet so good with the fish sauce dip. The pho here is terrific! I have eaten at all pho restaurants in the area from Suffolk county to Nassau, queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. The soup here is rich and light in flavor. Portions are good and prices are reasonable for the area. Don't nitpick over 1 or 2 dollars difference how restaurants price their menu. Every city I have gone to, Vietnam restaurants are the top destination. This place is top notch in service and decor is nicely done. I have to laugh at the person that compare this place with pho maxia. Go judge for yourself. I think everyone will enjoy this place. read more

Mostly get takeout , staying there to eat is nice and beautiful atmosphere. The waiter/servers are prompt in their services in get our orders placed. The pho noodles with beef brisket broth is very light and clean taste. In comparison to other Vietnamese takeout near Port Jefferson, this is by far the best Vietnamese food place, I had so far. Delicious! Went in early November last year, with our 4 month old baby at the time, and it was so good!!!!!!! The one thing was, we felt like we were rushed. Also, it was pretty quiet inside, even though there were other guests dining at the time. It made the overall feeling seem a bit awkward. But yea other than being super rushed it was great! (This was the first, and, now with the ongoing pandemic, few places we've ever dined out at since having a baby. At the time she was so small, so she was asleep pretty much the entire time. Food was great, service was great. Customer service - NOT GREAT! To those of you who might not know, bao buns are cheap rice bread buns that usually go for less than 99 cents at local Asian specialty supermarkets. I asked for more bread and was promptly told twice that if I wanted more bread I would have to order another $20 entree, even after I had already ordered 2 entrees for myself as I wanted to try more than one dish. I would've gladly paid for more bao buns, but telling me I need to order another of the same meal for just the bread is terrible customer service. Another person came over after we had our food and asked how everything was and I stated again, "can I have more bao buns?" The usual "let me check with my manager" gave the same answer as our original server. I try bao at almost every place I see it on the menu, these weren't worth the $20 either. Sorry, not sorry. If they came with better customer service, I wouldn't mind paying $20 for the DIY bao platter. Won't be back, too many other local options. read more

This place is the newest of Vietnamese restaurants on Long Island. Situated in the heart of Smithtown. Plenty of parking. The menus are tablet based which I see would be a problem for the seniors of Smithtown. The typical interaction of staff to customers is missing as you view n order through tablet. The waitress had a hard time understanding no mayo on bun mi. My group ordered Spring rolls (4 for $8) and vegetarian pho, brisket pho, seafood pho ($12.95) all a little expensive. The Spring rolls came out hot n cooked properly and seemed to only contain pork no veg. The lettuce was to crisp to wrap around the spring roll. It wasnt Romain or leafy lettuce Before pho came out the bean spouts n basil n lemon came out for the pho. It was lacking enough basil for three pho and we asked for more further never have I received LEMON with pho usually Lime when tHe pho came it was huge bowl. Plenty of noodle and vegetables n seafood but all three soups where lacking flavor. My daughter commented she allows looks forward to drinking the broth but she didn't because it was flavorless. My background my wife is Vietnamese. We have have Vietnamese dishes quite often and have returned to Vietnam and consider ourselves as well versed in Vietnamese food Overall experience. 3 stars. As winter approached it would be a great place for hot soup if flavor was added and should offer smaller soups to cut down on waste which Vietnamese hate wasting Not sure if this restaurant is authentic Vietnamese or others trying to cook Vietnamese but getting lost in translation. read more

We really love this restaurant and it's actually not easy to find such a nice Vietnamese restaurant in the long island area so want to recommend to all others who stop by this area. The food is very authentic. The Vibes are quite clean, nice and Vietnamese style. The service is decent too so basically we are very satisfied. We ordered 4 dishes which are Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop, Papaya Salad with Grilled Shrimp, Chicken Broth with Seafood: Shrimp, squid, scallion, crab meat, and mixed vegetable and Vietnamese Steamed Bun with Boneless Spare Ribs. The pork chop is the appetizer which is quite surprising. The meat is tender and dipped with the fish sauce gives you the sweet flavor and good to be the first dish. The Papaya salad is very impressive since the slices of the Papaya are very crispy and the blend of the salad serves in the large amount. The bun is our favorite and with the sauce, and all different vegetables, each bite is yummy. Lastly, we had the seafood Pho noodle. Trust me, this is really huge. We like the broth of Chicken, and there are all different seafood choices and mixed vegetables so from the ingredients it cal tell the amount and the flavor is very good too since the broth was boiled for many hours as told by the waiter. I was so excited to try this place as the Banh Mi is one of my favorite sandwiches. I was disappointed across the board. The sandwich was dry and uninspired (the chicken was strips - overcooked, tough, rubbery) , and the General Tsi's chicken was so dry and tough, it was pretty much inedible. Flavor or was ok. Vietnamese food is supposed to be fresh and bursting with flavor. I really wanted to like this place. read more

This a Chinese owner/managed and run restaurant by Chinese that happens to decided to open a Vietnamese restaurant. Food is not good, full of M.S.G. Beef broth is watered down with beef cubes and lots of M.S.G. We ordered pork chop, chicken banh mi, pho beef, seafood pho, spring rolls and summer rolls. All food were very salty and way too much M.S.G powder being used. Summer roll were ok. My friends and I couldn't eat it..iam Vietnamese and I told them that iam very sensitive to msg, but no one there could speak English or Vietnamese. So communication was difficult, good thing is that they have you place your own order through an ipad. read more
