    Pork Soup Dumplings (6)

Great place for some good soup dumplings, very clean inside, and the place looked brand new! Service was great and the price was average for the portion size. Had only the soup dumplings this time around, but would go back and try out some of the other choices for sure.

We were regulars at former JBBQ & Shabu Shabu Commack and will continue dining at current JBBQ Wok & Dumpling. JBBQ Wok & Dumpling have an affordable yet delicious lunch menu. Soup dumplings were delicious. Pan-fried dumplings were delicious. We visited on a separate occasion with our friends, tried many dishes from the menu and found the food delightfully cooked - not too oily or greasy either!

This location doesn't do hot pot. Great authentic food and nice environment! We enjoyed the soup dumplings here! The fried dumplings were more like gyozas since they were thinner. The udon noodles were really good and spring rolls were nice and thin. The shrimp with green beans were good. The duck rolls came with hoisin sauce were okay. The spicy dumplings in hot oil had a nice spicy flavor too! The pineapple fried rice was okay but my son didn't love it. They also have some other dim sum options and Japanese sodas. Service was good and the place was clean! Would certainly visit again!

I've been searching for great Chinese food in the East Northport / ComMack area for 4 years and every single time it was disappointing. Not this place. I don't even know where to start. We sampled a variety of apps and entrees so we can figure out if we would come back and everything was so good I don't know where to start but here we go: Apps - So far I've judged every Chinese restaurant in this area by their wonton soup and JBBQ served the best wonton soup I've ever had. The broth was amazing and the wonton itself even better. - duck rolls were fresh and crisp with a good amount of duck in it which was a pleasant surprise since most all the times the rolls I've had out here have been mushy. - pork soup dumplings. I didn't know what to expect since I've never had soup dumplings before but wow, it was like an explosion of flavor as soon as you bite into it and it was hot and I wanted to eat the whole plate. - sweet and sour spare ribs sticky, sweet, exactly what you would expect for something called sweet and sour ribs. I had to hold myself back from eating the whole thing because I was sharing a plate. - pork and shrimp shumai it was flavorful and you really did feel like you were having pork and shrimp. sometimes in other shumai dishes it's just kind of mushy. This definitely wasn't mushy. Entrees - shrimp lo mein noodles were perfectly cooked and not sticky at all. It was easy to get onto my plate and I wasn't getting clumps of noodles stuck together, which is great and they weren't cheap with the shrimp either there was plenty throughout the noodles. - general Tso chicken had the perfect chicken to breading ratio while also being big. - pineapple chicken fried rice was the only entree that was just OK but still a good eat. What is there not to love about this place. Pricing is great, Food is great and the sake is great. I will be a repeat customer.

Recently I ordered Dim Sum and a side dish. The side dish had no discernable seasoning, other than the bland sauce. The Dim Sum was water-logged and a couple of them were inedible. Probably never going back here.

The duck itself was a mix of old and fresh pieces. Some slices tasted dry, reheated, and clearly from birds prepared much earlier in the day (or possibly previous days), while a few pieces seemed fresher. It was obvious they were combining leftovers with newer batches to stretch supplies. Even worse, as a takeaway order, the portions were heavily skewed toward low-quality cuts. They removed the bulk of the prized breast meat (the most tender and valuable part) and served mostly bones, back meat, scraps, and skin. This feels like a deliberate practice: customers dining in can see the carving and get better pieces, but takeaway orders get the inferior remnants because staff aren't being watched by the customer. This kind of dishonest food handling--mixing old stock and short-changing takeaway customers on quality meat--is unacceptable, especially at restaurant prices. It shows a clear double standard between dine-in and takeaway service. I won't be returning and would caution others, particularly those ordering for delivery or pickup, to be wary. Has anyone else experienced this at Shanghai You Garden?

We're already familiar with this restaurant because it's the sister restaurant to our favorite, Orient Garden in New Hyde Park. My husband ordered the Country Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion was very generous--I forgot to take a photo until he was halfway through his meal, and he still had leftovers to bring home. I ordered the 2 1/2-pound Vancouver crab over rice noodles. It was absolutely delicious. The crab was perfectly seasoned with garlic and scallions, and the rice noodles soaked up all of the wonderful flavors. I was completely satisfied with my meal, and the portion was equally generous. What really made the experience special was the hospitality. Owner Tom leads an excellent team, and every staff member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. Our servers, Hai Wen and Summer, checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back!

Not a very big place but sufficient number of tables. For dim sum, they do have carts that go around and you can order or order via the menu and they will bring it to you. We ordered our staple dishes: shumai, fried crispy dumpling with pork, fried dough wrapped noodles, shrimp noodles, beef noodles, roast pork buns- all to share. Tea to wash it down with. Prices on par with those in Chinatown, Flushing etc. Overall food was was ok and service was good. Plenty of options on the menu if dining for dim sum, lunch or dinner. Shared parking lot with other stores in the area.

If you're visiting for the first time, those are the dishes to try. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and service is always quick and efficient. The only downside is that they don't serve hard liquor, but they do offer beer, sake, and tea. Their homemade chili oil is absolutely on point and adds the perfect kick to just about everything. What keeps us coming back isn't just the food it's also the outstanding service. Our waitress, "Cherry", has become one of the reasons we love dining here. "Cherry" always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. Another huge plus is the ample parking, so there's never any stress about finding a spot. First of all $17 for a dinner dish that doesn't come with fried rice or soup or eggroll? Sorry I never really put negative reviews but I feel like the hype of this place out weighs its value.
