I never see more than 1 table occupied whenever I come to pick up take out. And they aren't the most punctual, as I once waited an additional 20 minutes past the estimated pick up time suggested by DoorDash. However, I love their food. Gen Chou, boneless ribs, egg fried rice, egg drop soup.... what can I say? I like eggs. If they had a buffet, I would dine, and I would dine so much read more

Panda used to be just ok with great prices but inconsistent food that always somehow took forever to get even when they weren't busy. Since being sold, the new Panda is just awesome. They renovated the whole restaurant, changed the entire POS system, updated the menu and make it just amazingly good. I have been back here maybe 6 times since the renovation and it is awesome and our new go-to Chinese place in the Northport area. read more

Another Amazing Dinner at Panda! I am not in a rush when we go out and the food was fantastic again! Thank You to the owners and help! This is our new sit down chinese restaurant as our Precious in East Northport closed! Quality cooking takes time and if you are impatient then go to Mcdonalds drive thru! I would rather have quality food! Thank You Panda! read more

Damn good Chinese food. Did takeout but you could dine in. Old school Chinese noodles, very good wonton soup and everything else hit the high notes. read more

Food is delicious but it takes forever to get your food. Its the 4th time in a row. I never saw a Chinese kitchen cook so slow.

The food was good but the service was awful. We went on a recent Saturday night with a party of five. There was only one person working the dining room, taking orders, bringing tea and water (no alcohol license), answering the phone, handling takeout orders, etc. He was obviously stretched very thin and it was next to impossible to get his attention if we needed anything. Out entrees were very good (Mongolian Beef, Triple Delight, Kung Pao Shrimp, and a Spicy Beef dish. The appetizers and soup were just average takeout quality, with the wonton soup being especially disappointing. I asked for a Coke, and a can was put on the table. I had to request a glass and ice. Zero ambiance. Stark white walls, nothing on them, plastic tablecloths, and we were given plastic forks to eat our canned pineapple dessert. I would order takeout from here, but I would not bother to dine in. read more

Absolutely Incredible! The food was great and the portions were enough to take home leftovers! The workers and owners are very nice! The prices for the amount of quality food you get are fantastic! We recently found Panda after we lost our sit down Chinese restaurant Precious the end of March! 4th time here and had a wonderful dinner! I hope they stay around for along time! read more

Great portions, offers large pieces of sweet and sour chicken which is not my preference but still good.

Panda Restaurant was always very good. Last year or so they need more staff, and renovations. Well, It has reopened after their renovations, and new owners. It looks beautiful inside, and is family owned. The food was amazing, service was amazing, too. Tons of food and a great price! read more

Menu has changed & prices have increased since it reopened, but still very good & fresh. Appreciate that they will take special requests for take out if you call directly. Shrimp dumplings, pepper steak, egg drop soup & chicken veg dishes are our main go to orders. Would definitely recommend read more

I really wanted to like the new Panda restaurant. The old Panda was a neighborhood staple for five decades (!) but was definitely in need of a refresh. On the refresh front, the new Panda is a success. The food- not so much. I've tried it four times now and probably will not be going back. Nothing was outright terrible, it's more that nothing was very good. For example, the egg drop soup was way too gelatinous, so much so that it stuck to the spoon when I flipped it over (seriously). I ordered several different breaded chicken dishes (like sesame) and each was very over-breaded, to the point where some pieces felt like all bread. Other orders like steamed and fried dumplings and various fried rices were just kind of bland. Sorry, Panda, I hope you figure things out. read more

Time management is something to be desired. Also, Wontons and boneless spareribs are not on par with others in the area.

Such a great place to eat for a great price! All their food is delicious and you can't beat it for the price. They are very quick in there and the place is clean and quiet! Love it read more

Since it's Monday and our usual spot was closed this was our first time trying here. It most likely last. The food was not at all good.

I must say., the food we ordered was good. First we had a bowl of fresh Chinese noodles and duck sauce. Tasted like they had made them recently. Then we ordered wonton soup...nice broth, standard wontons but overall good. Our luncheon specials were really good. My husband got the boneless ribs -he actually got more meat than the fried rice that came with it. Usually the rice prevails, but not here. I had s esame chicken, great sauce-very flavorful and the chicken was nice and crispy. My grandson and got Sweet n Sour chicken that was lightly done and tender. The fried rice was simple, but tasted better than it looked. Could probably benefit from a few peas or sprouts but def better than a lot of fried rices I've had. The best was the roast pork egg fu young! Better than I've had in a long time. I would order takeout from them, but I really feel the interior is in dire need of a clean - up or renovation. I couldn't tell if they were about to start one or were just really sloppy-there were supplies stacked up all over some of the walls and only 1 large table and 3 booths available for use. Clean it up and you'll have a little gold mine! read more

Great, tasty, fresh food! Many choices. We will be back! Super nice owners! We ate in ... we can't wait to go back!!

Food was great and reasonably priced. The new renovations look great. A very pleasant meal with my family. Everything was served hot and fresh. read more

New owners did a great job! The food was delicious and cheap and the waiters were kind. Also the redecorated interior looks very nice.

Since the ownership changed 2-3 years ago, I would stay away from Panda. I had been a customer since moving into the neighborhood in 1986 and the food was spectacular. Now all the dishes are bland and tasteless. My previous and to be last order was so horrible I couldn't eat it. I brought it back, said my piece, left it on the counter, and walked out, never to return there again. For example, the Sesame chicken looked like a common chicken concoction with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. As soon as you ate the top pieces with the seeds, you couldn't tell it was sesame chicken from any of their other chicken dishes. Stay away! read more

How do you get 3 + stars? Ok they're super sweet. Kind welcoming I asked for not fried chicken bc of my dietary restriction.... I get fried chicken Drinks Soup Sides Non existent Another diner said they have been here forever. Yes i am sure they have been with no changes since they opened probably. Just not ok- Boxes everywhere, personal items on tables, table clothes not changed. The crispy chips with lunch looked so old it was unbelievable. The sauces were good, the chicken not sure how long its been frozen-couldn't chew. I am all for local places but they need to upgrade, get staff, clean up the place. Yes they are nice !ample parking and accessible. but lunch special should come with drink or egg roll like all other local spots - read more

Panda Restaurant - I found a roach in my food today. I had ordered the meal, and as I was nearly finished eating, I discovered it. - Chinese Near Me - Northport, New York

They recently improved their chicken wings .now they're crispy, with a great texture and even better flavor!

This restaurant may look a bit old, but the food is truly exceptional. I especially loved their General Tso's Chicken -- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and incredibly delicious. The portions are also very generous. This was my first visit, but I'll definitely come back again! read more

This was my go to place for good chinese food BUT owner must have sold the business because food went downhill fast. Chicken dishes were over cooked several times we got take out. Gave them one more chance this evening with roast pork with broccoli and it was terrible..Big hunks of fatty chewey pork in a disgusting sauce..I AM DONE WITH THIS PLACE FOR GOOD. read more

I've only tried shrimp fried rice and spicy shrimp with garlic sauce. I'm close to 5 star so will update it once I try a few more dishes. The garlic sauce is good, slightly spicy, a little sweet and sour. Veggies like red peppers, celery and "wood ear "mushrooms. Good flavor and texture. The main menu portion is so big it's 2 meals. I'll go back and try something else. I only eat seafood so no reviews of chicken, pork, beef etc read more

Food: subpar main course, low on flavor. My dish was a beef entry, meat not chewable, vegetables had wilted a long time before they got cooked. Soup with dumplings was ok. Service was almost absent, the waiter seemed preoccupied with his young son, a cute kid running around, or else buried in some paperwork. Overall, weird experience. Used to be a good restaurant. read more

Hit or Miss at best. This place used to be very consistent but they are clearly having a hard time these days. Last order was soggy and very oily fried rice & the shrimp were not all deveined which was a huge turn off. read more

Order take out from here here and there . I do think it's the best cheese food in the area but I'm still new here and haven't tried all the places . One day we decided to eat in for dinner . The dinning room is so out dated the chairs were all ripped and dirty there was dust hanging off of things the ceiling was stained from water marks . Honestly the state of the environment turned me off to ordering from here again. The staff was super nice and friendly and attentive. Even when I asked for some soy sauce and they handed me the whole sale Club size covered in sticky dust. Seems like such a waste of what could be a great place . Shame . read more

The restaurant is clean. I ordered lo mein beef, roast pork, mei fun. It tasted amazing! Will be coming here again.

Best chinese on Long Island. I moved 45 mins away and still make the trip once a week.

The restaurant finally appears to have changed hands in addition to which they have made some long long overdue improvements inside. Purchased takeout twice in the last 2 weeks and found it to be excellent. Chicken and BroccolI, Chicken corn soup, egg foo young...all delicious. hot and fresh. Will certainly stick with Panda for takeout. read more

Food is great, I'm giving it a 3 for the fact that it is a little pricey compared to other Chinese food and for the fact I've requested just a simple order of general taos with sesame seeds on top 3 different times and all 3 times they say they will add it and apologize for them not doing it the last time, when I go to pick up the food and get home I realize once again they forgot to. 1 time is fine, 2 even I can live with but 3 in a row is just no attention at all given to an order. read more

Good old fashioned Chinese food with the old restaurant charm that I grew up with. I only ordered appetizers and sides to bring to family for dinner for support. Would definitely go again to sit down with family for dinner. read more

It is the best Chinese food in the area. The food is packed with flavor, and it isn't too salty. My favorites are their fried dumplings, Dim Sum, Moo Shoo Pork and their Fried Rice. Their Fried Rice isn't oily, but it's also not dry. The Prices are roughly even with most other Chinese Places in the area. The decor is decent and on par for other restaurants in local shopping centers. It is not as fancy as other newer asian resteruants, but the price point is also significantly cheaper. Service is consistent and friendly. We recently went to catch up with old friends, and we never once felt rushed. I have eaten there many times over the years. I have eaten food from there a few times in the last two months. Panda is worth the Money. read more

I've been here twice in the last 30 days, and both times the meals were exceptional. My wife carried on about this place from when she lived in the area and suggested we give it a try. Not sure why the reviews are so bad, yes the place is not the prettiest on the inside but let's face it, it's Chinese food, and if you're looking for beautiful decour a local Chinese restaurant in Northport shouldn't be where you look. If you're looking for high quality Chinese food then this is this is your place. I highly recommend the Sesame chicken, ask for it with white meat chicken extra crispy, its absolutely the best you'll ever have, also for lo mein is really really good. read more

We haven't ordered from Panda in quite a while. We were very pleased with our food. We have tried a few other places and we enjoyed Panda the most. The wonton soup is just as I remembered, not salty, dumplings not too thick. We ordered two combo plates. Chicken and broccoli and chicken and mixed vegetables. Nice quality chicken and vegetables were fresh. They only offer takeout at this point thanks to Covid. We are looking forward to returning. read more

This place has the best pork dumplings I have ever had in my life. Let's just say I have had a lot of pork dumplings in my life. The seasoning is perfect, they are stuffed to the brim with filling and the dough is springy. Also they are perfectly pan fried. Give them a try! The other food I have had here is good too, it is a solid American Chinese restaurant. read more

Great food. Been going there for take out many years. Tried all other Chinese restaurants in the area and always go back to Panda.
