I had such a craving today for cold noodles with sesame sauce... searched Yelp and came across Yummy Kitchen. This dish was AMAZING! Just enough spice, peanut buttery flavor and sesame sauce. For the incredible taste and great price (only $6!) this dish will definitely have me back. Also, they have stellar COVID protocol with a little door for money/food exchange, like at the bank. Much appreciated.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but this food just wasn't very good at all. We decided to come here because our usual location is closed on Monday's. Well, my father decided he knew this establishment from years ago, like 30 years ago and let's just say he got it wrong. The pics I took look good but, everything just lacked homemade quality taste. Almost as if the sauces came from a jar. The sesame shrimp was all batter, like a sweet and sour batter but not nearly as good or crispy. Everything was soggy and really no good flavor at all. My Mother got the egg drop soup and she couldn't eat it because there was too much starch in it. They need to go to their other local competitors and try their food to see what good American Chinese tastes like.

mixed vegetables lunch special w wonton soup

very cute place with a friendly atmosphere. I ordered a mixed vegetables lunch with garlic sauce instead of brown sauce and a wonton soup that came with 3 wontons in broth. Friend ordered the Kung Pao chicken special with fried rice and substituted the soup for a soda. the lady behind the counter was really nice and lunch specials were totally worth the price. it was a great deal and I'll definitely be back!!

Splendid Noodle - Beef in Mixed Chili Sauce Appetizer

Our go to dishes are the beef in chili sauce, seafood noodles, and beef flank.. everything is consistently delicious. If you like a little heat, definitely try the chili sauce they have on the tables it takes everything to the next level. It does get pretty busy around dinner time, so I recommend getting there early to avoid the rush. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. The food feels authentic, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Whenever you're in the mood for noodle soup you may first think of chicken noodle, ramen, phô…read more.. but what about chinese hand pulled noodle soup? That's quite a mouthful, like their noodles! I believe the same broth is applied to all bowls so the only options you have to choose are either: hand pulled/hand cut noodles and your choice of meat, I prefer hand pulled. Now, I've had the house noodle bowl in the past in an effort to sample their meats. My conclusion is that the ribs are their best option. They are deceptively flavorful and fall off the bone easily. Their noodles have a great chew and mouthfeel while the broth is delicately beefy/porky. I love to jazz it up with the table vinegar and chili oil. As for serving size, these bowls are giant so you will leave full. If you still have some room though check out their oden selection. I like the fish cake/ball and chinese sausage varieties, they come with a lovely sweet and salty chili sauce that packs a punch. These noodles are truly splendid and even more so in the colder months.

China Station - Dumpling sauce I had to make myself because we didn't receive any.

I was in the area with my kids and we stopped here on the way home to pick up some dumplings. I…read moreremembered coming her years ago when my son attended SBU. We had a decent meal and I thoroughly enjoyed their soups and dumplings. I'm not sure if it's due to the pandemic but I feel like the quality of the food fell off. The have a small parking lot located in the rear of the establishment. They're a small restaurant but have plenty of seating. When we ate here the first time, they were extremely packed in the middle of the day but on this particular day, they were very empty. I arrived hoping to get a myriad of dumplings but unfortunately, they now only have three types: chicken, pork & leek, and pork & Chinese cabbage. I ordered two each of the chicken and the pork & leek, all pan-fried. I was going to order some pork buns as well but the guy taking my order said they would take 20 minutes to make. I declined because we still had to drive back home another 90 minutes. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for the 4 orders of dumplings and I'm unsure as to why. If I would have known they would have taken that long I would have said forget it. I also ordered some frozen chicken dumplings and paid for them but was told they ran out. Instead of bothering with a refund, I just told them to sub the pork & leek dumplings. When we finally got our order, we rushed home. I warmed up the dumplings for dinner by steaming them for a couple of minutes, and served with some quick ramen, addicting cucumber and a dumpling sauce I had to make because they didn't come with any sauce at all. They were OK. They are filled quite nicely but the flavor is definitely not as I expected or remembered. The chicken dumplings we "meh" but the pork & leek tasted much better. A few of them tore open very easily. Regarding the establishment itself, they could do some cleaning in there. I know it's a college area restaurant but while we waited, we noticed a lot of concerning things. Their doors are utterly disgusting. They are painted white and it looks as though they've never been wiped down. There is so much grime and crud from people touching them. Neither bathroom had soap which is a HUGE red flag. If the staff also uses the bathrooms, who's washing their hands correctly, and how? I also saw one of the guys in the kitchen wipe his face with tissue and place it on a tray. He neither had gloves on or cleaned his hands afterwards. He legit, went right back to handling food and the pans. I'm sure many people don't really pay attention despite there being an open kitchen but since we were not wanting to wait there that long and we were wondering why our order was taking so long, we had all the time in the world to just observe. The dining area really isn't very clean and I would probably skip another visit in the future.

I really wanted to like this place given the 4.6 rating and 2,000+ reviews, but our experience was…read moreextremely disappointing. When we walked in, the restaurant felt run-down and it was freezing inside. It was so cold that my entire family kept our winter jackets on the whole meal ,I even had to keep my hood up. We noticed other diners were also wearing their coats, which says a lot. I repeatedly had to ask for hot tea just to stay warm. Service was also lacking. The waiter was inattentive, and despite the restaurant not being busy, no one came by to check on us or ask how the food was. As for the food: * The soup dumplings had almost no soup inside, and the dough was thick and heavy. * The egg and tomato soup was completely bland and had almost no flavor. One thing that may explain the high number of reviews: there's a QR code on the wall offering free bubble tea in exchange for leaving a review. That definitely makes the rating feel inflated. Honestly, if this restaurant were located in Flushing, it probably wouldn't last long given the level of competition and food quality standards there. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Red Tiger based on our visit
