Delicious food at a great price, perfect for family style and big groups! Service is very slow but extremely nice, we didn't mind too much. Cute place and great food, definitely a spot to visit!

Red Tiger Dumpling House crushed it on the vegan game Vegan General Tso's = crispy + bold Vegan Sesame Chicken = sweet + satisfying Broccoli in Garlic Sauce = garlicky, tender, and full of flavor Fast service, big portions, and flavors that seriously deliver.

Absolutely stunning food! Delicious, fresh and served quickly. Tons of amazing vegan options too. It's one of our favorite places when we're in Stony Brook.

Easy order via website or over the phone! Food was packaged nicely for takeout as well. It was delicious Chinese food especially with such limited options in the neighborhood. Lots of options on the menu that can accommodate all taste buds. Would definitely order again to try the rest of the menu out! Also, you get free soup dumplings with a $50 purchase! A new surprise!

Food (4/5): Overall delicious and solid food however there were some issues. To start off the soup dumplings and scallion pancakes were quite solid. The shumai however not only took a long time to come out but the meat came out raw. Fortunately one of our friends caught it and they recooked it but could've been a health hazard. Service (2/5): The first few dishes of the crab soup dumplings, buns, two servings of scallion pancakes came fast and we're good. However, after that they seemed to have forgotten our other orders and brought out the check. We reminded them that we still didn't get the 2 pork soup dumplings and shumai. It took a while for the pork shumai to come out (15+ min after we told them) and it came out raw. They fortunately took it back and remade it but oddly didn't seem apologetic about serving us raw, hazardous meat. The pork soup dumplings they forgot also took a while. Ambiance (3/5): OK ambiance with a reasonable amount of seating. You're able to see into the kitchen area as you're eating.

Repeat customer and forever will be. These are the best soup dumplings in the area. Do not expect high end service or a nice atmosphere, you are here for one reason and one reason only, soup dumplings. A favorite and must order is scallion pancake with spicy pork.

Definitely do not dine-in. A takeout only spot. But some of the top of the line Chinese. Always worth a stop when in the area.

The dish was presented traditionally with the all the toppings. The duck sauce was also perfect. A beautiful dish that fulfilled the 3 categories of Chinese cooking: color, fragrance and taste. Our next favorite in presentation and taste is the pork belly with pumpkin. The presentation of the dish is eye popping. The pork belly is unmistakably cooked by a master chef. The texture is chewy (skin), soft (fat) and dense (meat). The sauce may look over the top, but it adds to the silkiness of the pieces. The "fat" is not greasy. It's puzzling how they rendered the grease. I grew up eating this dish and cook it too. This dish by far is the best I've had. Service is fantastic; helpful and attentive. This is our new favorite restaurant! Suggestion would be to eat at the restaurant for an incredible experience. Dishes came out is perfect order. It's been a while since we've experienced a classic Chinese restaurant.

The hostess and our various waiters (they all seem to assist all diners) were all very friendly and welcoming. We love to try new things so we had to check out the Little Alley Pig Ear appetizer, and I also wanted to try the Shanghai Crispy Eel. For entrees the husband ordered the Eight Delicacies in Chili Sauce and I got the Soft Shell Crab with Rice Cake. Pro tip- their appetizers and entrees are hefty, with two apps and two entrees we were stuffed at the end. The food! The pigs ears were our favorite thing we tried- they well seasoned and so unique I've never had anything quite like it. We didn't read the menu carefully and were surprised it was a cold dish- I imagined the crispy was from being fried but it's just the texture of the cartilage! It's probably not for everyone but I really enjoyed the new experience and the flavor and spice were great. The crispy eels were also tasty, though with such a large portion split between just two people I found the sweetness of the sauce a bit much. I started dipping them in the chili oil from the ears and enjoyed that, but I'd still only get the eel again with more than 2 people to split it. For entrees the 8 delicacies was tasty, all the meat was nicely cooked and tender, and the sauce was pleasant. I wasn't super wowed by this dish compared to some of the more interesting things we tried but it was a solid well-cooked entree. The fried soft shell crab over the rice cakes was delicious and again a very unique experience. I found the sauce a tad sweet but I think I was still a little over the eel dish so I may have been extra sensitive. That being said, it was fun and delicious and I'd eat it again! I can't remember the cocktails we bought, I know they were good but the food definitely distracted us! Little Alley was great overall and I'd love to go back to try some dumplings; sadly we were just too full at the end of the meal!

Although the decor is simple, the bold use of red and gold makes it highly memorable--and the space is very clean. Even though the bowls and chopsticks are disposable, there's clear attention to detail. The chopsticks feel great to use, and they are even engraved with "上海小笼," which is a thoughtful touch. The bowls are made of thick, sturdy paper, with a beautiful red base and gold rim--both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Ordering is done through a self-service kiosk, but there are still staff members nearby. When it's not busy, they are friendly and happy to assist with any questions. The Noodle in Scallion Sauce (上海葱油拌麵) has a rich scallion oil flavor with perfectly chewy noodles, while the Cold Noodle w. Peanut Butter Sauce (麻將涼拌麵) is packed with a strong peanut flavor and equally chewy texture. Both dishes are delicious and taste very similar to Taiwanese sesame noodles. Every dish is served fresh and hot, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Whenever I'm in Edison, I can't help but come back to try more items on the menu.
