I've been coming here for a long time even before I became vegan. The food is great. Love the soup dumplings and their General Tao's Chicken is yummy with not too much breading. Recently I had their Mapo Tofu which is vegan the way they make it. What a great taste. My mouth was tingling from the spices and white pepper and black bean sauce. I also like their broccoli in garlic sauce. I'm not a big fan of their General Tao's Tofu. The soy is too hard for me but it had a good flavor. I'll be back for more Mapo Tofu. The leftovers at home were great. Also, their new vegetables dumplings were awesome with a nice ginger flavor. read more

I really wanted to like this place given the 4.6 rating and 2,000+ reviews, but our experience was extremely disappointing. When we walked in, the restaurant felt run-down and it was freezing inside. It was so cold that my entire family kept our winter jackets on the whole meal ,I even had to keep my hood up. We noticed other diners were also wearing their coats, which says a lot. I repeatedly had to ask for hot tea just to stay warm. Service was also lacking. The waiter was inattentive, and despite the restaurant not being busy, no one came by to check on us or ask how the food was. As for the food: * The soup dumplings had almost no soup inside, and the dough was thick and heavy. * The egg and tomato soup was completely bland and had almost no flavor. One thing that may explain the high number of reviews: there's a QR code on the wall offering free bubble tea in exchange for leaving a review. That definitely makes the rating feel inflated. Honestly, if this restaurant were located in Flushing, it probably wouldn't last long given the level of competition and food quality standards there. I never leave negative reviews, but people deserve to know about this. I found a full cockroach in my food while eating here. Not a small speck or something questionable -- an actual cockroach. I'm extremely disappointed to even have to write this because this restaurant was one of our favorites for a while. There is absolutely no excuse for this in a restaurant kitchen. Seeing a roach in a prepared meal makes me seriously question the cleanliness of the entire establishment and what conditions food is being stored and prepared in behind the scenes. This wasn't just unpleasant -- it's a serious health hazard and completely unacceptable. I was disgusted and honestly shocked that a restaurant operating like this is serving customers. Great food, but 1) awful website to order through. Have to use 3rd party; 2) ordered online, drove there, walked up and gave name, said it wasn't ready. My order sat in the back ready for 20min. They never came up to me to tell me; and 3) order was incorrect and was charged more than what I ordered via the 3rd party app. REALLY disappointed, especially because they were not crowded at all. we eat here all the time and it has got to be one of the best Chinese places on Long Island BUT I'm leaving this review because tonight we ordered two orders of the Kung pao chicken from DoorDash (which is one of our favorite dishes)- and it was severely undercooked and we found a hair in it. It's one bad meal out of many good ones so I don't write this to discourage anyone from eating here or criticize the establishment heavily, but it seems like there is someone cooking tonight (it's tuesday, sep 1 2026) that is not cooking the food properly and is also not being careful/wearing a hairnet. since we ordered it through DoorDash, they were only able to refund us $20 even though we spent $80 , which is obviously not the fault of the restaurant, but it really is incredibly unacceptable. Once in a while, a hair, although disgusting, is not the end of the world. And once in a while, an undercooked meal, although unpleasant, happens. But to be really excited to eat only to spend $80 on a meal that was so undercooked it was barely edible and also had a hair in. It was frustrating enough to reactivate my Yelp account to leave this review. We had to throw one of them out because we weren't going to eat the one that had a hair, and the other one we are currently trying to crisp in the air fryer since it wasn't cooked all the way through. We really do love this place so much and I plan on eating there again 100% so I'm genuinely leaving this review in the hopes that the business owners/staff or someone will see it and rectify this/speak to whoever was working because I just don't want this to happen again or to anyone else. read more

This place is always bumping. It's clear to see why. Love that it appears family run, with incredibly polite and talented young adults running the front end -- this was actually one of the first places we tried to take our infant as new parents and they were so accommodating. Their vegetarian general Tso's and garlic eggplant are my absolute faves. My wife loves their desserts. All in all, this place has become a regular spot for us and we wish the team here many, many years of success. Thanks for all your hard work (and great food)! read more

The waitress that took my order seemed very sick like she should not have been working, nonstop coughing and sniffling over food with visibly sticky hands. Food (4/5): Overall delicious and solid food however there were some issues. To start off the soup dumplings and scallion pancakes were quite solid. The shumai however not only took a long time to come out but the meat came out raw. Fortunately one of our friends caught it and they recooked it but could've been a health hazard. Service (2/5): The first few dishes of the crab soup dumplings, buns, two servings of scallion pancakes came fast and we're good. However, after that they seemed to have forgotten our other orders and brought out the check. We reminded them that we still didn't get the 2 pork soup dumplings and shumai. It took a while for the pork shumai to come out (15+ min after we told them) and it came out raw. They fortunately took it back and remade it but oddly didn't seem apologetic about serving us raw, hazardous meat. The pork soup dumplings they forgot also took a while. Ambiance (3/5): OK ambiance with a reasonable amount of seating. You're able to see into the kitchen area as you're eating. read more

This spot is an okay place for Sichuan food and dim sum. The flavors in the sauces are rather plain though. The fish in Sichuan had a very heavy starch-based sauce with pretty little flavor and lots of oil. The shanghai greens were good and standard. Simple flavors but intended to be so. The egg fried rice was literally egg in rice with a soy sauce base. I was expecting some vegetables and more fragrance but it was really bland. The shrimp and pork shumai were juicy but a bit too briney and the filling was not well mixed. The soup dumplings (which came on the house) were flavorful though. I would come again but change my order to items I think they would make well. I'll peruse other reviews for inspiration! Costs are a bit higher than usual but generally fair. read more

I have been here numerous times when I'm craving authentic Chinese food not American chine takeout. This place is authentic as it comes and there are many menu is also in Chinese if you can read that which I can't. It's nice that they have pictures on the menus to show you how it looks like. The place is decorated nicely with an old school Chinese decor. The service is great and they have a robot that brings out your food and drinks. My favorite dish is the beef flat noodles. It most Chinese takeouts they call it chow fun but it's takes so much better here. The noodles aren't stuck together and the noodles are coated with flavor from the wok. Give this place a try if you're sick of American Chinese takeout and want authentic Chinese food. It's in the Stony Brook where there is a lot of Asian restaurants to cater to the Stony Brook University students but this is my go to. I just wished they had their liquor license but it's not going to stop me from coming here. read more

There was a lot of parking. The place has a family feel to it and very spacious. I wanted to try the Steamed Pork Buns and they were alright. It was very dry and not juicy enough.
