Service: Very Nice!! The wait staff were so nice and helped us with our order. It was nice to hear what their favorite food was and what people tend to get! They were attentive and came by often to take away empty plates to keep our table clear. Food: Bang Bang Chicken Salad- CRUNCH!! It has a wonderful tangy and slight spice to the dressing while the whole dish was full crisp vegetables. The addition of crispy onion/garlic added a different crunch texture to the cabbage. Bo Luc Lac- Flavorful. I really enjoyed the Bo Luc Lac (translation: Shaky Beef). The stir fry of the beef and onions were really nice. I wish that it wasn't sitting its own juice/sauce because it took away the sear of the beef. Pho Combo- Standard. It is the known dish when you talk about Vietnamese food and it was good. The cuts of beef were a little thick to my liking. I LOVED that it came out piping hot! On to my next adventure...

food is delicious here I've never eaten Vietnamese food before and I went here for a work lunch with my colleagues we all enjoyed it. The lunch menu was very reasonably priced. The chicken wings were so delicious. Honestly, some of the best I've ever had. I don't usually like bone in wings, but these were amazing drinks. Very delicious too and the chicken pho was very delicious. Only thing lacking is the weight staff attitudes I think sometimes they come off a little rude, but maybe not intentional because they are close to the university.

Sup is one of the ONLY good Asian cuisine near Stony Brook University. They have an amazing lunch deal every weekday from opening till 3pm that includes a drink, appetizer, and main (pho or rice) for $17. Their drinks are okay as they tasted watered down however the apps and pho are delicious! I would recommend getting the summer rolls which always taste fresh. The service was great and sometimes there is a short 5-15 minute wait during lunch time.

Food: I love the food at Sup! Here are my recommendations: - pork chop over rice: really big portion of meat and corns with tasty pickles radish and carrot (5/5) - papaya salad: refreshing and I love the texture of the papaya and mango. The acidic lime hits the spot (5/5) - Thai iced tea: YUM!! Perfect amount of sweetness. - bang bang chicken salad: I love how it's crispy but also hearty with poached chicken. The crispy garlic and fried onions are crunchy and balanced out with vegetables such as cucumber and lettuce (4/5) - green tea ice cream (4/5) Service: the waiters are so kind! I went here for my friends birthday and they gifted us a dessert on the house! Ambiance: there's a great ambiance! Clean and beautifully decorated with florals. The eating area is clean. Overall, I am a regular at Sup. It's also very affordable if you come here for the lunch special! You can get a beverage, appetizer, and main dish all for 16 dollars. However, the portion is not the full portion you would get if you were to order it separately.

Date night brought my boyfriend and I here tonight! We've both never had pho, so this was a new experience for us. To start, we both had watermelon juice. It was so delicious and refreshing. For an appetizer we had Vietnamese Sunmer Rolls. They were very fresh and yummy! The peanut sauce that accompanied them for dipping was very good as well. For our entrees I had Pho Ga which was a chicken broth with grilled chicken and noodles. My boyfriend had Pho Sizzle which was a beef broth topped with grilled ribeye steak and noodles. Both were so good and flavorful. Service and ambiance were great. We agreed that we would come back and we are adding this to our rotation of places we go to. For everything including tax and tip it came to $75, which is very reasonable! 5 stars!

Honestly, I can't think of a single criticism. Great service. Food is tasty and well portioned. Vibe is immaculate. Menu is modern and not common for our area. In a sea of typical pub grub and friend food, this place stands out as above the fray. Don't miss it.

We were looking for a nice spot to eat before dropping off family at Stony Brook. I was so excited when I saw a Pho restaurant! Food: 5/5 I really enjoyed the bowls of pho we ordered and their rib special. It was a great dish to split with few people while they had their own dishes to dig into. My favorite dish was that special because it felt the cost for the dish was great value. They gave a significant amount of meat some lettuce and picked radish for texture. Very tasty! Service: 5/5 The waiter was very nice and great at recommending item on the menu. Like they recommended a tea we could try and it was delicious. They were also great at explaining the menu to my friends new to pho. Also, since some of friends had the dietary restrictions, they were super accommodating and get a suggesting alternatives. Really great service. All in all, it was a great experience! I would definitely go back if I am nearby. I had no idea such a nice place was so close to the university.

We got there close to closing time (around 8:30 pm?) but the sat us right away and got us going. Get the chicken wings. Definitely get the chicken wings. They're filled with umami flavor, with a crispy exterior and the juiciest meat. That set things off to a great start to our dinner. I'd skip the spring rolls, unless you're craving them intensely. The pho was delicious, with a deep soup flavor, like they make it in-house. The spicy basil fried rice was presented in a pineapple, which I thought was pretty cute but not very functional. I saw a lunch special (~$15 for 1 drink, 1 appetizer and 1 entree), which I think is a GREAT deal. I'll probably come back for that.

Delicious food, great lunch special, super fast service (I was in and out in 20 minutes). Healthy food, cute restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Great for Stony Brook students or anyone in the area!

My last visit (Friday afternoon) I ordered a Medium Wintermelon Milk Tea (you can get it without the milk), Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles and a Grilled Shrimp Rice Bowl. Everything was delicious and very flavorful though I felt the Garlic Noodles were a bit on the saltier side and the Wintermelon Milk Tea was a bit too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). There were a lot of flavorful chicken pieces and the shrimp came with about 7-8 pieces, also very flavorful. They have 3 different sauces that I was given since I was eating there and just returned it to the counter once done. My favorite of the 3 was the more liquidy one though they all tasted great. The place is located in a strip mall with a lot of free parking. There's some seating inside and one small table outside. It's spacious and clean. They have great background music playing and their unisex bathroom is spacious and clean as well. The food came out in a reasonable time and the staff (I'm assuming maybe the owners) were also very pleasant.

We went for the lunch special which had two options: $12 lunch with choice of appetizers & main or $15 lunch which is the same as the $12 option but just includes a choice of drink. The iced Vietnamese coffee is already premixed, but the hot version they give a side of the condensed milk so you can add as much or little you want. I tried their spring rolls which had a nice crisp bite. It was also served with pickled daikon and carrots for a nice refresher. For the entree I got the pho bo vein which had beef meatballs as the protein. The basil, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts and lime slice are on the side, so you can add as much to your liking. I did not notice until I was mostly complete with my sandwich, but luckily did not bite into the pepper before noticing the fuzz growing on it. However, you can clearly see the fuzzy pepper in the picture I took before digging in. I got the lunch special, which features a drink, app, and entree. The lemonade was nice and fresh tasting, the crispy wings were fantastic, and the banh mi was actually very tasty. Not the best I've had, but it was flavorful and the pickled veggies tasted fresh. I was very disappointed to find a moldy pepper, which ultimately ruined the experience for me. Hopefully, nothing I actually ate was bad, and this pepper was the only one that went missed in a kitchen check. I hate to turn folks away from a nice local spot with good tasting food, but I will never recommend a spot with moldy food.

Getting to the food - I got bun bo hue, pho, and egg rolls - I am Vietnamese and I've gotten takeout from places countless times. You are ALWAYS supposed to separate the bean sprouts and mint and lime from the dish. Those are supposed to be optional for the customer. THIS PLACE COMBINED THE NOODLES WITH THE BEAN SPROUTS AND LIME!!! You are not supposed to do that! You are always supposed to package them separately. On top of that, the pho broth lacked a lot of depth of flavor. Also, pho is supposed to come with tripe, eye of round, beef ball, which this pho had none of. Bun bo hue is supposed to be spicy and have pig blood, which this one didn't. It was also not flavorful and was just lacking. The egg rolls also did not taste right and the fish sauce was off. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. This is not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Long Island.
