Serious health hazard. Repeatedly. Bugs and hair on most food items. Absolutely disgusting. These incidents were all from take outs. About a month ago, there was a bug with wings found in the Bun noodle. Just today, also from a take out order, there was a long piece of dark hair deeply embedded in the shrimp summer roll. Had to spit it out in panic and almost vomited. Someone needs to call the health department for an inspection on this place, and their other location too. Serious health hazard.
2.5 for most dishes we ordered. I was not sure by adding fish sauce would naturally make the food Vietnamese. This is far from being Vietnamese food in my opinion. It is OK to call American-Chinese-Vietnamese. Summer rolls both with shrimps and avocado were less than mediocre.
I've tried this place a few times over the years in hopes it'd get better and unfortunately it disappoints every time. The flavor isn't bad but I wouldn't call it authentic Vietnamese and the portion sizes are small for the price. I got the pork skewers for the first time and if I had been at the restaurant instead of home I would've sent it back, which I've maybe done twice in my life ever. It was maybe two ketchup packets worth of food for 4 skewers. It's a shame because we don't really have any Vietnamese places locally but I'm surprised they've managed to stay in business for this long.
Visited with my husband and loved the unique tables where you sit adjacent with another so the other corner of the table is reserved for serving. The food was okay, but I wouldn't really recommend if you're craving for legit pho. Still looking for a great/authentic Vietnamese in East Long Island...!!! we're still driving to Flushing to kill our cravings. Overall the place is good, but I really didn't like the spraying of the table cleaners while people are still eating. I really couldn't smell my food anymore.
I wanted to like this place because it was right next to my favorite Thai place. Unfortunately I found a small cockroach inside my pho. Honestly it was very traumatic. I am never eating there again. I was also reading Google reviews afterwards and someone else found a cockroach in their bubble tea...... Saigon casa- please hire an exterminator......
This place was pretty good in terms of the taste of the food. The only complaint I had was the cost of what you get. I have been to many pho places that charge way less than what they charge for here. Almost $20 for a large bowl is kind of crazy to me since I could get a large bowl like this for way cheaper. I ordered the Rare Steak & Brisket Pho which was pretty good! I definitely recommend that. The other stuff I ordered was pretty good as well but I recommended the rare steak and brisket the most. Overall, I do not think I would come back just because it was kind of expensive but I enjoyed the experience of dining here. The interior of the place was very nice as well as the staff.
Was out in Suffolk county and was in the mood for Vietnamese food. So saw that this place had decent ratings and decided to give it a try. It was getting late and there were not many places that opened late during this Covid19 time. The staff was very accommodating because one of my friends was working late and we were afraid that she would miss it since she didn't show up until after 8:30p and the kitchen was closing at 9pm. Food hit the spot and drinks were good too!

We were seated right away as there weren't much people that day. I got the combination pho large size which comes with a bit of everything. I was dreading it being salty at all but it wasn't. Enjoyed the dish a ton and the noodle to soup ration was spot on. My son got the chicken fried rice and the portion along with taste were there. The fried rice was cooked to perfection and wasn't clumpy one bit. My wife got the grilled shrimp and pork vermicelli and she thought it was okay and she felt the sauce was bit bland. For this one visit alone, would give it 4 stars.

Food is no longer the same, service is terrible. No wonder this place is always empty now. Plastic bits (from packaging) in my noodles. Sandwiches no longer have the sauce stated in menu but never corrected or mention when you order. When we asked, they said yes we don't do it any more. Well, that sauce is what makes key ingredient of a Vietnamese sandwich. Noodles are getting less and less. I ended up paying another $6 for extra noodles. Waiter clearly saw us finish (empty restaurant we were the only ones there) but he ignored my wave and walks right passed me and went to the bathroom for a good 10 minutes. I ended up going up to the cashier to ask for check and pay. Got bag from her to pack my food. More importantly, I clearly started no jalapeño 3 times when I ordered, and they still managed to put that in.. and when I told them, no apology. My wife is very sensitive to spice. Lunch ruined. The replacement sandwich came after I finished my second order of "extra noodles (which was another small portion). No apology, their attitude is makes us feel like we are in the wrong. Place is clean as no one is there. Wish it was as good as before... good thing is there are plenty of vet options now. Way better.
Needed something warm for the chilly day. Glad we decided to come here to have pho. My parents recommended this place to me a while back...and it was the best time to try it. Walking in, you get a nice, modern feel. Totally not something you expect when you see it from the front. We were seated right away and a server came to get our beverage orders not too long afterwards. Here's what we ordered: - fresh summer rolls - rice paper, vermicelli noodle, vegetable with shrimp - grilled pork & spring rolls - vermicelli noodles, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, sour pickled daicon & carrots, mint leaves, fried shallots, and peanuts - (#19) rare steak, brisket, fatty brisket flank, tendon and tripe: beef soup, pho noodles and vegetables - green tea boba - hot tea - banana pudding - sweet banana with tapioca This hit the spot. Everything was very good. I had never had the dish I've ordered before and the server let me know how it should be eaten. I'd come back again :)
Considering, we all had a hankering for Vietnamese food, we found this spot for a quick business lunch with some work colleagues. The Bánh mì, was the most straight forward option and so we had 3 roast pork sandwiches with extra Jalapeños. Service was quick , efficient and the restaurant had a covid access protocol in place. Masks and temperature and the server was very friendly. In about 20 minutes our meals were served and i have ti tell you. I was very surprised that it look good and tasted good too.. lol plenty of grill pork with plenty of jalapeños and cilantro and great pickled veggies. However, the bread could have been better but i still come back and get lunch here again. Plus each sandwich was $7.50 and the decor in this place was very nice. Too bad we had no time for a beer because we were all on a lunch meeting.
The pho was abundant and flavorful- also ordered a summer roll with shrimp which was fresh and tasty the Babb mi sandwich was easily the best part of the whole meal I made sure to get grilled pork since that's what I remember having when I was in Vietnam - I love pho and absolutely recommend this place for anyway who agrees- they had a full bar as well for anyone interested in some Drinks and pho on a hot date- yassss please - can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu!
This place was honestly amazing and great if you don't eat meat! They have a great option for a tofu vegetarian Pho, other vegetarian options as well. They only serve Pho in beef broth or vegan broth, NO chicken broth. We ordered the tofu Pho (I took out scallions and broccoli of my Pho) and the fire rock fried tofu appetizer with the sauce on the side, and a combination beef Pho. It was delicious!!! I'm excited to go back and it will be my second visit. The waitress was straightforward with our order and quick to check us out when we were finished but not the most welcoming person, but i understand not everyday is a great day. It was clean, fresh, and had everything you needed for dips, utensils, etc for your meal. The interior bar area is really pretty too if you're interested in a refreshing one! Spacious so not cramped either which was really comfortable and prices were average for what the foods worth. Two small phos and an appetizer ran us around $35-$40 (+ extra for tip) read more

I used to be a regular.I would typically come in every week or two weeks the food was always pretty good. This time around I came in & I'm not sure what happened the flavor of the soup was sweet the soup was steaming hot like It used to be. read more

I've been here before, and I'm not sure if covid is the issue, but the prices are absurdly high for tiny portions. The sandwiches are much smaller than they were in the past (check my picture compared to pictures from a few years back). $9 for this size sandwich is just crazy. Plus the bread isnt even real french bread. Its too soft. Before I opened the bag, I thought they may have given us half a sandwich, but nope, its just a much smaller bread. At least the place looks clean and the flavors are fine. Employees seem nice. That gives 1 extra star. However, I will not be coming back here. read more

{TAKE OUT REVIEW} So, not a day goes by that I don't crave Banh Mi's from Saigon Casa! Located on the incredibly busy 347, this place is located in the strip mall (going East) before Taco Bell. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. I've never dined here before, only ordered takeout. Each and every time I've picked up food, it was always incredibly fresh. While picking up my takeout, the restaurant inside looks extremely clean and well taken care of. In the future, I'd love to eat in house. Over the phone, the service has always been friendly. The food usually takes no more than 20 minutes to be prepared and ready for pickup. The food is absolutely amazing! WARNING, once you eat a Banh mi here, you'll be addicted for life! I've had the beef and pork Banh mis. I like both proteins but my preference are the beef sandwiches. Seasoned so well, plus the veggies and bread are so fresh. I've also had the spring rolls which I enjoy. They have boba tea in a variety of flavors. My favorite is the almond boba tea. Overall, I absolutely love this place. I can't wait to dine in. The Banh mi sandwiches are downright delicious and the boba teas satisfy the craving! read more
This has become my new go-to restaurant, and everyone that I've taken here absolutely loved their experience. There's lots of parking, the place is clean, not a lot of staff but they are very efficient and attentive. The food is great. A wide variety of pho is available, and I usually get something with beef tendon. The large serving is not large. It's HUGE. The spring rolls are nice, crispy, and very flavorful. The summer rolls are some of the freshest and best I've had, and we make our own at home. Overall, the place deserves every one of the 5 stars I gave it. I'll keep coming back. read more
Mi casa su casa! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Saigon Casa has been open for over one year now, I had to stop in to make sure the Pho was up to par. I also brought my wife, she's not into a hot bowl a Pho but she will eat, how I spun it was grilled chicken topped with clear noodles. Sold! If you don't know the difference between Chinese and Vietnamese food, Vietnamese food relies on spices and vegetables compared to battered chicken and frying. Vietnamese recipes use lemongrass, ginger, mint, coriander, Saigon cinnamon, lime, and Thai basil leaves. Sounds good right? Those items brighten up the dish, there is no reason to use dairy or frying oils. We ordered spring rolls. Typically, they come out burning hot and you have lettuce to pick up and dip into a fish sauce. No lettuce and they didn't come out burning hot. The beer selection isn't great, its all American labels and only one Asian import? I ordered a Tiger beer, it was pretty good and helped me wash down my spring rolls and pho. My Pho Dac Biet comes to me, The broth was pretty good! The noodles were a little overcooked for me but overall the dish had nice flavor. And my wife loved her dish! Grilled chicken, spring rolls and vegetables made this dish funky and fun. Overall, Saigon Casa fills a nice spot in Port Jefferson. The restaurant is modern and new. The parking lot is big, at night you'll pretty much have the entire area to yourself. I can't wait to come back for the Bahn Mi sandwiches! read more

Underrated Vietnamese restaurant with spectacular menu items besides just pho in the Stony Brook area. Food: Food here is amazing! I had a craving for pho, but I decided to be a little more adventurous this time. I ordered their papaya salad with beef jerky and a chef's special dish. This puts traditional salads to shame-- the different flavors, the crunchy texture, and their house special sauce is delicious. Their chef special omelette was something that didn't look appealing, but once you mix the omelette and fillings with basil+lettuce, it is going to blow your mind. You just have to try it for yourself. Experience: The service was moderate. Server was friendly and anticipated our every need. Parking is available most of the time. Restaurant ambiance is beautiful! TLDR: amazing food, good service, great for dates, okay for groups. read more

I've been in stony brook for nine years and access to pho has been a major milestone. I used to drive to rolling spring roll in farmingdale just to get my fix but no more. No more Pho-MO!! Saigon casa takes up a space in a strip mall that's easy to miss. Not much else going on here. They opened on Saturday 4/22/17 and the soft opening has been spectacular. First thing I noticed was the expansive menu. Also the staff all speak Vietnamese ! Really good sign. The ambience is ok. A little too loungy for me. Three times I've visited! Each time has been better than the last. They've got it all covered. The summer rolls. The BUN, the pho and even the pork chops. The service is getting better and they seem a little understaffed at times. I worry when the traffic picks up but I'm sure they'll manage. No liquor license yet. Let us drink our own beers but asked we keep it discrete. On with the menu ! Appetizers. No viet meal is complete with summer and spring rolls. Summer rolls = rice paper wrapping cilantro and meat of your choice. I like pork. Spring rolls are fried and crispy. Both are up to par Mains Pho is solid. Broth is an A. Meat quality is excellent. Standard garnish. Can't go wrong. Go with the large !!! Pork chop with shredded pork on rice. This is my childhood favorite. I always get hiccups from eating this too fast. Their pork is very well grilled and seasoned. The fish sauce complements it perfectly. Such a bonus they have this here!! BUN. Meats over vermicelli noodles without soup. Great summer food. I like the grilled beef with spring roll over BUN. YUM. Gluten free. The wait staff and chef really made the effort to prepare my friend a gluten free meal of non seasoned pork and shrimp over BUN. Informed us there is soy sauce in the pho soup and gluten likely in the fish sauce. Prices. Fair. Will def be back!! read more

Not a lot of workers, so it takes some time for them to get your order down and order and portion size is small. Very calm and quiet place. The jasmine milk tea was good. $11.95 for one piece of pork chop and a scoop of rice with some carrots and cucumbers on the side. Taste is ok compared to other Vietnamese pork chop places, nothing spectacular. $4.50 Jasmine or Chai milk tea (Jasmine is the white one, Chai is the brown) My friend ordered a large pho in this photo. read more

I wouldn't say this is the best pho in New York but it is the best for Suffolk Long Island. Inconsistent product and service. The pho can be very tasty some days or weak broth jacked with msg and sodium. The only consistency here are the skimpy fillings. Which btw they marked the prices up recently. So your looking at ~$40 for 2 large phos and 2 appetizers. (Y'all almost Madame Vo prices) Service is blah. It's uncomfortable to dine in when most of the staff have an rbf with the exception of the petite owner that's very welcoming and bubbly. By all means, if you live deep in the island, this is the best you will find if you need a quick fix of Vietnamese cuisine. read more
I came across this restaurant because I was craving Vietnamese food and it was nearby so we decided to give the food a shot. The ambiance was low key casual. They also sell bubble tea and basic traditional Vietnamese dishes. The menu is limited yet again I am comparing the menu with other Vietnamese restaurants that have extensive menus such as Pho Bang and Thaison. The food suprisingly was authentic and comparable to what I have eaten in Queens especially the Pho. The crepe was also good and filling definitely got my money's worth. The Vietnamese coffee and banh mi were good but I think Bambu is better and Thaison's coffee is more authentic. I am glad that this spot is convenient and quick for the neighborhood. I would return and try their spring rolls and even their specials. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The decor is modern and fresh. The service was friendly however the food is just meh. With prices upwards of 12-15 dollars for a bowl of pho, that makes this place one of the more expensive Vietnamese places I've been to. Overall the broth was bland and lacked depth of flavor. The Com Tam suon was ok but again, the fish sauce lacked flavor. Overall I wouldn't return. read more
