Looks closed even though the place is open. Smithtown location was small. Service was good. Sesame chicken was good but not the same compared to the RVC location. I want more chicken and less breading.

I'm really glad I found this sushi place near me. As far as sushi is concerned what would you be looking for? Cleanliness certainly, unique and traditional sushi rolls, and friendly service. Wild Ginger does hit those marks. If your in the area, live nearby, I'd say give this a go. I was super happy with our waitress who was really helpful and really nice.

A friend of mine introduced me to Wild Ginger, and I am so happy they did! We love this restaurant and it's perfect for lunch or dinner. The lunch menu is perfect, everything comes with soup or salad, great portions and a great price. The service is super nice and friendly and the food is always on point! It's a nice, comfortable atmosphere and I highly recommend going here for lunch or dinner - or take-out! :) Including some pics of meals we have had in the last few weeks!

Hubby and I were passing and stopped on a whim for a late lunch. Greeted by a friendly staff and seated by the window. Wild Ginger is a small and simple restaurant situated in a tiny shopping center. Complementary fried wonton chips and duck sauce was immediately placed on the table. Our crispy salads and spinach egg drop soup came shorty after. We ordered a few Rolls and a dinner entree that we were very pleased with. Everything was delicious and fresh. Very happy our food came out steaming hot since temperature is a big deal to me. My only suggestion , be more generous with the rice. Want to thank the staff for excellent service. Really appreciated that you keep the water and napkins coming. Lunch worked out very well and we plan on returning again when we're in the area.

Love that when we sat down they gave us a version of chips with dip. Fried Wonton chips with a ginger dipping sauce, hubby said it's like a sweet duck sauce. I ordered edamame, it was super salty but it's ok because I only need what's inside lol. I had two full rolls, hubby wasn't that hungry so he went with 2 half rolls. Love that they have an option on half rolls. I ordered the lobster roll and the wow roll. The lobster roll is the one that really wowed me! The roll is fried! Oh my! I've never experienced that, it was soooo good!!! Scrumptious!!! The wow roll was really good too. I love how they have many different options on their signature rolls. Hubby ordered the kamikaze 1/2 roll and the New York 1/2 roll. We were too full for dessert but I can't wait to back again.

Such a cute and cozy sushi restaurant. Service is fast, restaurant is clean, and most importantly--the food is delicious.

The lighting, the music, the whole ambience screams "you're about to have a great night." The service here is top-notch. Everyone is super friendly, attentive without hovering, and genuinely seems to enjoy being part of the experience. Our server knew the menu inside and out and gave amazing recommendations, which is how I ended up discovering what might be the best roll I've ever had in my life (the Aji 53 Roll, obviously). The sushi itself? Absolute perfection. Every piece looked like it came straight off a magazine cover -- fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality and the craftsmanship in every bite. Even the appetizers and cocktails were on point, the spicy edamame and lychee martini combo had me hooked before the main event even arrived. What I love most is the energy here, whether you're out for date night, a group dinner, or just treating yourself, Aji 53 makes it feel special. The staff pays attention to the little things: your drink never runs empty, dishes come out at the perfect pace, and they always check in to make sure you're smiling (and you will be). By the end of the meal, I found myself saying, "Why am I not here every week?" Aji 53 isn't just another sushi spot, it's an experience. From the décor to the food to the service, they nail it across the board. If you're anywhere near Smithtown and love sushi (or even if you think you don't), trust me. make a reservation, show up hungry, and thank me later.

We recently ordered takeout from Tomo Sushi and tried a variety of dishes. Here's what we ordered:…read more * Miso soup * Salad with ginger dressing * Two orders of gyoza * **Salmon Lover** (5 pcs sushi, 5 pcs sashimi, 1 salmon roll -- I added avocado to the roll) * **Wild Salmon Roll** (crunchy spicy salmon roll topped with three types of tobiko) * Shrimp & steak hibachi with fried rice * Chicken katsu (breaded and fried cutlet with tangy dipping sauce) * Udon noodles * Plus, they included a complimentary hot sushi roll **The highlights:** All of the sushi we ordered was *excellent* -- incredibly fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had in a while. I would 100% order the sushi again. I was also told the hibachi and chicken katsu were delicious. **What could be improved:** The fried rice and the udon noodles were the only real letdowns; both needed more sauce or seasoning. Also, when ordering hibachi for takeout, my sister asked for the traditional hibachi sauces but was told they don't provide them. That felt a bit strange since those sauces are typically a standard part of a hibachi meal. The complimentary roll was a kind gesture, but it ended up being something no one wanted, so unfortunately it went to waste. It would be great if they offered a small choice of free items, or perhaps comped one of the appetizers already ordered, just to avoid unnecessary waste. Since this was takeout, I can't comment on service or the dine-in experience. **Price:** For the amount of food we ordered, the total was around $108 -- extremely reasonable. **Overall:** I would definitely recommend Tomo Sushi, especially for their outstanding sushi. With a few tweaks, they could easily become a 5/5 spot. *Note: Not pet-friendly, as there is no outdoor seating.*

The moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and that perfect balance of cozy and modern ambiance. The lighting is soft, the music is chill, and the place has that welcoming energy that makes you want to stay for hours. The service here deserves its own five stars. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares that you're having a great experience. They remember faces, make awesome recommendations, and always check in at just the right moments. You never feel rushed, but you're never waiting either. Everything flows perfectly, which just adds to how enjoyable the whole experience is. Now, let's talk about the food because wow. The sushi at Tomo Sushi is next-level fresh and beautifully plated like edible art. Every roll is made with care, and you can actually taste how high-quality the fish is. The Tomo Special Roll is out of this world, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and almost too pretty to eat. The sashimi is buttery, the spicy tuna rolls have just the right kick, and don't even get me started on their appetizers. The gyoza and miso soup are absolute perfection. The drinks are another highlight. Their sake selection is great, and the cocktails are surprisingly creative for a sushi spot. Pair one with your meal and you'll be smiling the entire time. What really sets Tomo Sushi apart is the vibe. It's fun, relaxed, and feels like one of those places you can bring anyone -- a date, friends, family, or even just treat yourself after a long week. You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. In a town filled with good restaurants, Tomo Sushi manages to be great. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything just clicks. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. Just be ready to fall in love with sushi all over again.

Today, May 5, 2026, I visited Insignia during happy hour with my mother, my toddler daughter, and a close friend--something I have done multiple times before, including as recently as last month. Our server, Justin, was excellent: attentive, courteous, and professional. Unfortunately, that is where the hospitality ended. The manager, Emir Radoncic, pulled me aside and stated--verbatim: "Never come back here with your daughter again... she is disruptive to other patrons." This statement was false, insulting, and deeply inappropriate. In fact, the patrons seated next to us complimented me directly on how well-behaved my daughter was. Any parent knows toddlers can be unpredictable--but at no point was she loud, disruptive, or out of line. What was disruptive was a manager who felt entitled to shame and alienate a paying guest--a loyal customer of over a decade--instead of practicing the most basic principle of hospitality: creating a welcoming environment. Over the years, I have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, holiday parties, and professional events across Insignia and other restaurants within the same group. Many of these gatherings were planned and organized by me. That relationship is now irreparably damaged. I will never return to Insignia or any restaurant within the Anthony Scotto Restaurants portfolio. I will actively discourage families, friends, colleagues, and institutions from dining here, and I will make sure others know exactly how I was treated. This was not just bad service--it was a complete failure of leadership and hospitality.

From the moment we walked in, the hostess was unprofessional and rude. The staff were busy laughing and chatting among themselves instead of greeting or seating customers properly. Once seated, the noise level was unbearable ,it felt more like a chain restaurant than a fine dining establishment. It took about 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table. When the sushi finally arrived, it was terrible,I've had much better quality at local spots. My main course was just as disappointing, and the dessert looked like it was carelessly thrown onto the plate. Even the bathrooms were dirty, and the servers continued socializing instead of attending to guests. If I could give zero stars, I would. I definitely will not be returning to H2O .I should've gone to Casa Rustica instead.
