One of the best Pho restaurants in Houston. The broth is real and flavorful and the beef is so tender and servers are really friendly. Will definitely come back. read more

This place gets PACKED during lunch time. I'm not sure how it gets during the weekdays but weekends is pure chaos. The parking also gets really tight. There's a paper sign in system right when you walk in the front door and someone will go down the line and call your name. Not a lot of space to wait around. This is no frills type of place. When you sit down there's no physical menus but a QR code you can scan. Food comes out quick. Portion sizes are huge and they don't skimp on the meat. The broth is pretty good. Prices are cheap. Overall I'd come back. read more

Pho Dien - Combination pho. Huge portion sizes and they don't skimp on the meat! - Vietnamese Near Me - Houston, Texas

One of the best places for pho in Houston! This place specializes in pho and there is no option for rice plates or banh mi on the menu. Be prepared for a wait during the weekend but it is soooo worth it. The nooodles comes out fast; piping hot and fresh. Highly recommend read more

Pho Dien - Vietnamese Near Me - Houston, Texas

Pho Dien is one of the better pho places in Houston area. The broth here is always so savory and flavorful, and the taste is very authentic to the pho that you can get from Vietnam. Like Vietnam, this is one of the pho places that you can order straight without a menu if you already know what toppings you want as soon as you sit down, which I really like, but they do have a menu if you're unsure. They have a variety of sizes for their pho bowls. I always get the large size, which I think is a good size for a typical person to be full with. My favorite toppings for my pho are usually the fatty brisket, flank, and rare meats, which is the pho tai nam gau. Their meats are always super tender, and they give a pretty good ratio of meats to pho noodles. Every bowl of pho comes with a plate of herbs, bean sprouts, and limes. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but please trust me when I say don't order the chicken pho. I'm giving 2 stars because my friend got the brisket pho and really enjoyed it. If I were to grade the customer service - I'd give it a C and that's because of the pleasant people at checkout. Otherwise, it might be an F. If beef pho is your thing, then this might be a good spot, but don't expect too much outside of that. read more

Food: 3.5. I couldn't give the lean to 4 based on service. Came by for a Sunday breakfast. Parking was horrendous as there are more cars than spots. Many cars are waiting for open parking spots so the lot is congested. On top of that, the spots are small and narrow. We parked across the street. There was a line inside but the wait wasn't bad. Out party of 4 waited about 15-20 mins. I ordered the Pho Tai. Food came out quick and at right temperature. Broth was good. I don't usually add to the broth but did so here because a little bland for me. Raw meat was very tender. Service was fair. Server spilled liquid from bean sprouts on my shoulder. He also dropped our straws on top of the bean sprouts. No apology and also no follow up if we needed anything. Ambaince is only functional as tables and chairs are close together. Service: 2.75 Ambiance: 3 Value: 3.75 read more

Absolutely amazing pho. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is incredible too. This place is legit. 5/5

I heard that phở điện is really good in Houston, Texas. So earlier today, my friend and I went there for lunch. First of all, the waitress was very unprofessional and rushy. We were just seated on the chair when she came over and asked me, 'Cô order gì?' (aunty, what would you like to order?). I asked her back, 'How old are you? Why do you call me aunty?' The way she greeted the customers was very impolite. After we placed the order, the waiter brought out two Styrofoam cups of water with lime. This was the first time that I had ever seen them serve their customers with Styrofoam cups of water. They looked so cheap. I wish they had served us with glass water instead of Styrofoam cups. The service was very bad due to the lack of greetings for the customers and no interpersonal communication skills. Their phở was alright. I liked their rare steak slices because they marinated the rare beef very well. read more

This place was PACKED on a Monday! There will be a wait but not too bad. The service was quick and staff was incredibly friendly and patient. The food came out very fast. The pho was good but not the best I've had. The cafe sua da (iced coffee) was really delicious though! read more

I usually have the thought of leaving a review for other places but never get around to doing so. HOWEVER, this place is SO good I HAD to. Man 5 out of 5, this is the best pho I have ever tasted in my life. I grew up in Alief so I have eaten a lot of Asian cuisine, but every pho restaurant is so different. Out of all the pho places I have tried in Houston and Woodlands area. This one tops the cake all the way. I added some Sriracha, lime, jalapeño, and the chili garlic oil. This is the first time I ever finished the broth at a pho restaurant. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the iced tea. It is real brewed black tea which I think would taste better with regular sugar rather than with sweetener. However that's a personal taste. I know some people don't like that real tea taste so I put it as a heads up for those who don't. read more

I heard so much about this place and finally had the opportunity to try it. The broth lack favors and diluted. Perhaps, I came on the wrong day. I still prefer my old go to Pho 54. I have tried many places but always go back to Pho 54 on Bellaire. read more

Pho Dien on Bellaire in Houston used to be one of my favorite pho places, but the food quality has really declined. It's not cheap, and I couldn't even finish my bowl of pho dac biet bo vien because it was bland. To make matters worse, the Vietnamese iced coffee caused me a stomach ache this time. It's such a shame to see a once-great spot go downhill! Their mancau smoothie was fine. read more

Came here for our last "breakfast" of our most recent Houston trip on an early Sunday morning. Came here around opening and there was already multiple groups of people waiting outside. Everyone was seated right away but they don't give you menus. I guess people come here so regularly, they know exactly what to order. We had to ask for menus because obvious we're noobs. HAH I ordered a large PHO DAC BIET whereas friend ordered a small TAI BO VIEN. Food came out on a cart pretty quickly, SUPER hot. Great bowl of pho, though a little sweet. Add some bean sprouts, squeeze of lime and down to town you go ! All the add-ons/meats were good. Great eat and go spot ! ! read more

The Pho here is pretty good. Is it the best? No but it's pretty solid. You have a choice of steamed sprouts or fresh. Never had that option at other pho spots. Saw on TikTok that steamed sprouts would be a game changer. NO, it's not. I actually prefer the fresh sprouts because of the cold crunch it provides to offset the hot noodles. I'm reducing a couple of stars because they don't offer spring rolls or egg rolls. Like, I know it's a pho shop that specializes in Pho but at least have some viet egg rolls/spring rolls to nibble with our Pho, just saying. read more

This place was good. Solid, straight forward, hole-in-the wall, classic type of Vietnamese Pho place. Fast service, pho comes out quickly. The broth was flavorful, and noodles cooked perfectly. Not too soft and not too firm. That plays a big factor in a good pho bowl, and they did it exactly right here. We also got Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee w/ condensed milk) ,and it came in a plastic to-go cup, which is convenient usually but it was so good that my bf and I drank it up quickly. It's not overly sweet, and had less amount of caffeine than other places i feel like. But it was tasty. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're craving Pho in Houston, TX. read more

This is the best pho in town. My husband and I would drive from Katy to China town just for the pho.

Came here for breakfast this past Sunday with my friend right when they opened. Surprisingly there were already people there waiting for Pho Dien to be open. Even then, there were a decent amount of people that came in after we arrived. We were seated right away. They don't automatically give you a menu though so you will have to ask. I can tell that most people there were regulars because no one needed a menu to order. Then again, they really only have pho so just order your favorite! I decided to go with a small tai bo vien pho (rare steak and beef balls). The bowl of pho came out piping out, which is what I love! The noodles were cooked perfectly -- not too soft and not too firm. The broth, however, wasn't my favorite. It was a bit sweet for me so I had to use lime to tone it down a bit and I rarely ever use lime. The beef balls were really bouncy, which was a bit odd on for me but it was good nontheless. The rare steak was really good though. It was super tender! Overall, pretty decent. Quick service and prices are good. read more

(3.5 star) Ordered to-go here- did find a small roach in it. I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it. The noodle is actually a little thick which I prefer, the soup is flavorful and not too fatty, and the meat is plentiful and tender (but breaks apart pretty easily). I can see why it's a classic but the health standards leave something to be desired. read more

This is a must every time we visit Houston! I recommend this place to all my friends who ask for recommendations! I always get the small pho bo vien ($10.25) with tai on the side ($4.95) (I squeeze a bunch of lime on it). The pho is just so good and honestly on par with my mom's homemade pho. Their ca phe sua da ($4.50) is delicious and strong. It gets super busy on the weekends but their service is very fast so they get you and in and out quickly. read more

Oh man, im being generous with the two stars. This place used to be good, not sure if they changed management or what but the pho was just ok. Aslo the staff was the typical Asian restaurant, drop of your food and never see you again. The girl behind the counter was soo busy with her phone and care less if you existe. Not a word when I get up to pay. No "was everything ok or a thank you" Too many Pho shops in Houston to waste my money here read more

Not too shabby! I love how early in the AM they open and service was good! It is always a good start when there's a parking lot and to see a place semi full at 9 am on a Monday. The portions are huge and they definitely did not skip out on the meats. The broth was not my favorite.. I didn't hate nor did I love it. It was missing something I couldn't put my finger on it. However did they give us the option to have fresh or steamed bean sprouts which was nice. Would I be back? Possibly! read more

We came here after a quick bit at a place that served only Bun Bo Hue. Others in the party were hoping to eat some pho and this location had some good reviews and was nearby. I think the large bowls of pho was a $1 less than some other pho places nearby. read more

Not even 10 minutes after taking our order, the food was came so quickly! I had the pho tai nam and I have no complaints. The soup is dark and clear, with very little sweetness which is how pho should be--many places in my area make the broth too sweet and muddy with distasteful seasonings, so I was glad to have a pho that lives up to the pho in Vietnam. The meat is tender, easy to chew and swallow. I also had the da chanh and they had the perfect ice to limeade ratio. Glad it was also in a to-go cup! read more

Not a local but was told this is one of the best pho places so of course had to try. We went late on a Tuesday night and there was no line! Was happy they didn't run out yet as I heard sometimes it happens. Staff was nice and spoke English just fine. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful. The pho meat was good and overall delicious. Broth we had that day was a bit on the sweeter side than I typically like (like mine more savory and beefy). We got rushed to pay and out the door due to closing time. read more

I'm so thankful one of my friends took me here for pho. It looks very authentic and is on the corner of a shopping strip - didn't have the most curb appeal so I'm not sure I would have found it on my own. I think I paid $11 for a large combo pho and it was a HUGE bowl with all the toppings. The aromatics/herbs were very fresh - you would think this is standard practice everywhere, but it is surprisingly noteworthy. The broth was immensely flavorful and all of the meats were fresh and delicious. read more

Super fast service, pho veggie sides all fresh and cooked mung bean sprouts perfect to keep the very hot broth in place. Pho tai, steak on the side, beef was meltingly soft, slightly cooked in the hot broth, satisfyingly warm and jalapeño plus sriracha and chili out got me sweating from my bald head. Ca phe sua da, pretty balanced flavors, strong and sweet equally, and in the nicest Togo cup I've seen from a pho restaurant. Will definitely be back. Easy parking lot. read more

I came here around 10:30AM on a Saturday morning and there was no wait at all. I was seated immediately after entering the restaurant. I ordered the meatball pho and it was really good. Great beef pho! Broth is flavorful, noodles have the write amount of firmness, and good amount of varieties to get the right cut of beef you are looking for. It's a bit of a drive to get to this part of Bellaire Blvd, but well worth it if you are looking for that pho soup you've been dreaming/drooling for. Most soups come in regular or large. Also bean sprouts and mint are available on the side. You can also get your sprouts raw or boiled. Service is good. Parking is small-- very easy for this whole lot to fill up, so go early.. Oh, and no spring rolls. -- I'd almost dock a star for that, but the pho soup is super solid. read more

3.5 star for my dining experience, this place is always packed and the parking sucks so badly but luckily since today is a Monday we were able to find a parking spot and grab a table very quickly. I ordered the Small #11 Chin Nam with meatballs, the food came out very fast and happy that it did because I was pretty hungry. I enjoyed my soup a lot it was very rich and flavorful, the broth also had a little sweet kick to it as well. The flank just melted in my mouth, it was delicious. I didn't really particularly like the service, our server wasn't really that friendly and seemed like she was rushing us to order, but hey I don't expect much from Pho places anymore far as service is concerned. Pho is definitely good enough for me to return plus I live 2 minutes away. Tip: they have the Big Bowl challenge, good luck. read more

Based on high praises on Chow Down In Chinatown - Houston group, we went back to Pho Dien. I'm more mature now to appreciate finer nuances in this excellent bowl of Pho. The Broth has well-balanced beefiness, herbs, and spices. Nothing jumps up to overwhelm the senses. All the beef parts used in my Dac Biet are good quality, Raw Beef has a hint of Citrus, there are no inferior ingredients used. The noodles themselves are impressive to me, I usually leave them at other places because they are not always cooked properly and lumped together. The noodles are cooked with the right texture and firmness, with each string separated easily. The care that goes into cooking the noodles scores high marks with me. Overall, it is a no frail good quality enjoyable bowl of Pho. Now I understand why the posters in Foodie Group, OG Vietnamese uncles and aunties prefer their Pho at Pho Dien. The good thing about Houston is that we have amazing Vietnamese food on almost every corner of China Town. It's definitely something we should be proud of because a lot of other major cities just can't compete. Pho Dien is definitely one of those places that hits the spot when you want something hot on a cold winter day. We came here on Christmas Day actually, and it was pretty packed (like many other Asian restaurants around area). I ordered my go-to, the Pho Dac Biet (special with pretty much all cuts of meat in) and it was great! It's not my absolute favorite pho place, mainly because of the higher price (compared to other places close by), but the food definitely meet my standards. I give this place a pho out of five.
