Good place for pho late nights. This was our third option on a Saturday midnight coming back from the airport. Chinatown was literally packed everything, including this place. The wait wasn't too bad. The only complaint I would have is the cleanliness, but this is Bellaire. Tables were not cleaned properly and the pho bowl looked dirty from the outside still. The broth had good flavor, and meat was good, I ordered the pho dac biet smallest size and it got me full. $60 for 4 people is very affordable. I'd come back despite them not focused on sanitation

Got pho dac biet, tons of meat. I ate it too fast so here is a picture of the finished bowl.

This place is great for providing good quality and delicious pho that opens late at night. The price is great for a large bowl. The service was very quick to serve. This place ONLY ACCEPTS cash and Zelle.

This one is my local gem. One of those places that you may pass up but will u turn - no problem to double back to. Family ran business. More likely than not, you'll meet the usual faces if you order take out as often as I do. LSTS. I lost someone close to me that ate pho with me and while their health was declining they enjoyed when I would bring him his "chicken noodles" as he called them. This place and family will always have a special place in my heart and with my family.

The food here was good, standard Vietnamese restaurant with a majority of their usual dishes if you've been to a pho location. The service was decent, usual check ins and several refills on water. No major issues in the actual location. Ambiance was about as expected, moderate levels of noice and a very small location in a shopping center. Fortunate for us they stayed open later into the night than most places so we were able to grab a late night dinner. Check them out if you're in town.

We were looking for a Pho place that was open late at night and decided to give it a try. It was not too busy when we got there and had a choice of tables. We selected one close the pay counter which we did not realize as it was an inner table. There got pretty busy when we left with lots of to go orders. We ordered the large combo Pho that includes a variety of meats like meatball, flank, tendon, tripe, etc. the price for medium and large was the same. The broth was delicious. Well seasoned. There amount of meat was also very generous. The only thing was the noodles. Not sure exactly what it was but it seemed to have been overcooked. It was not bad but tasted different somehow. Place was clean. Utensils were on the table and you grab your own chopsticks, soup spoon and sauce dish. After eating, you pay at the counter by indicating the number at your table. They pretty much know what you ordered even if you forgot. Cash only... they may have Zelle. We will give it another try next time we crave for Pho late at night.

Two thing in life that I love: pho and late night food. The concept of Pho Ve Dem (#1) perfectly suits my nocturnal lifestyle, all while guaranteeing pho lovers a chance at tasty glory even in the wee hours of the night. Open starting at 5pm, this is definitely a spot for nightlife folks just looking to cure their hangover with some very tasty pho. It's a very modest interior for Pho Ve Dem. The place is not large and the decor they do have is very minimal. There are usually a mix of Vietnamese families and young people hanging out here. The bathrooms are not in the best of shape and the parking situation is a little tight beyond 5 spaces. Take a peep at the menu and know that it's basically all pho. It's very straight forward and totally feels like a one-sheet of meat cuts and bowl sizes. I appreciate the beefy broth, which in addition to being fairly clean, was a little too easy to slurp. My bowl of dac biet goodness was devoured quickly and I was very impressed with how much meat was included. I thought the tendons, bo vien meatballs, and flank cuts were generous and abundant. Service is going to be a crapshoot. Even for folks who speak Viet, the service can be a little rough around the edges and the vibe is super casual. The thought of waiters screaming orders across the room is not far off and to make matters more complicated, it's cash only. (#2) Strangely, I was really into their strong Vietnamese iced coffee. After my late night food coma, I was happy to indulge in something that was potent but sweet. I anticipate I'll be back for more midnight bowls of pho. ___________ (#1) "At Night" (#2) Now that's legit.

We came in town pass 1am and this was the place that Opens late. It compensates between fast food and sit down restaurants. Eventhough it was late but the hospitality was great

Go-to place for late night pho. I always get the combination pho which is the same price for a Small or Large bowl. Usually pretty filled when I come around 11pm~12am on a weekday but usually no trouble getting a seat. I always get the vietnamese frozen yoghurt as a dessert. I like to get the sweet and tart flavor over the sour flavor. Tastes like plain tart frozen yoghurt which I love.

Ruined my damn meal. Dumb server

Told the server PLAIN pho kho and why this girl brung out everything in my damn bowl. Pissed me off. What part of NOTHING do you NOT understand

The filling is placed in a pan and then a thin layer of batter made with tumeric and coconut milk yellow batter is poured on top. You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. It's nice having an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our area, close to us, so we don't have to make the trek to Bellaire every time we crave some Viet food!

I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

Ordered as an appetizer, it was huge and was close to being a meal all by itself. I thought I had over ordered and probably did, but everything was so damn good, I finished it all. 5/5 Coconut coffee - this was my first time trying this. Lord and waistline willing, I would consume one of these everyday. The contrasts of hot and cold, the bitterness of coffee with the creaminess of coconut. It all balanced and went so well together. Highly, highly recommend. 6/5 On top of all the amazing food was the service. I had just arrived from the airport and came close to their lunch closing time. Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

It comes in a set of 2 but we got a 3 pack! I ordered the grilled branzino and let me tell you! That chimichurri sauce !! Clutch! It is demonetisation and truly grilled to perfection. My friends ordered the filet mignon and the chicken and they were equally as impressed! I ordered the espresso mousse for dessert which comes out in the shape of a coffee bean. Cuteeee and perfect! This place didn't disappoint and it is a must visit.

This is a higher end fine dining restaurant so you should expect the portion sizes and price to be pretty comparable to a lot of other finer dining restaurants. Overall the food's flavor was fantastic. I ordered the king salmon clay pot. I thought the salmon was so tasty! They added pepper and sauce to the salmon - It was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with white rice. The quail (not pictured below) also was super flavorful and was cooked so well it tasted like beef. The soup was also light and refreshing, similar to a west lake soup. It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness. I will say, we are slightly underdressed to enter this establishment. Everything seemed so luxurious and many people were in formal business wear! Keep this in mind if you go! There is a parking deck right next to the location as well, both self parking and valet!
