My extended family introduced us to this awesome Vietnamese noodle spot. At first, the prices on the menu seemed a bit high, but when the food arrived, we were blown away! The portions are huge - easily enough for two people. You can even add extra noodles, meat, or soup for a little extra. The service is super fast, so our kids didn't have a chance to get bored. And the food? Delicious! We're definitely making this place a regular spot for affordable, tasty meals. It's casual dining experience around Rosemead area.

Shows pho ha long but it's pho Thanh. In same plaza with a dentist and nail and hair supply store but they were closed on the weekend so the place was deserted. We arrived at about 7pm on a weekend and we were the only customers. A short while after we sat down, another party came and a to go order did a pick up. Not much business. Tax included in the prices listed on the menu which is nice. Food is pretty good. Tried their pho and rice dishes. Customer service was ok. Outside patio available. We sat outside since it had a nice breeze and inside was hot and muggy. What I didn't appreciate was the server took a break and started smoking and watching videos on his phone in the patio where we were sitting and eating. The other party that came had a baby on a high chair which sat next to his table where he was smoking which was even more uncool. Otherwise, if you're looking for a pho place, this is an option.

    XL pho and regular pho

Located near the intersection of Garvey and San Gabriel blvd, pho Ha Long has its own parking lot in a plaza. Space is very big with lots of tables inside and outside. You can tell it's run by Vietnamese owners the moment you walk in. Came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and place was pretty empty. Service was great! Menu is not as extensive as other places but they have all the Phos you need or would order. I got a regular pho and my partner got a XL pho. Flavor is good. Broth was clean. The only downside is that when you get an XL it seems like it's just more noodles and not as much meat. Which was a bummer and why I'm giving this place four stars. Overall, we enjoyed it.

    Chicken w/ red rice

2.2 stars I came to check this place out b/c I couldn't believe the price point...$9 for 1/2 chicken w/ red rice? $9 for regular-sized pho? Impossible, right? And wouldn't you know it? The quality matched the price... It is with a heavy heart that I need to report on how underwhelming everything was. The 1/2 chicken was small, like cornish hen small, & the red rice was tasteless. The veggies for the pho was pretty meager & the beef was tough. However, on the plus side, it wasn't very salty. The pho noodles & broth were decent & the texture of the red rice was good & not dry. The chicken skin was crispy & appetizing. The interior was ok, but I did see flies inside & I walked out with a couple of mosquito bites... :/ Would I come back? Probably not.

At first I was a bit iffy about the place , but once we were helped out by a older gentleman took our order I felt better . The broth was super flavorful and clean , . Over all the pho was delicious. Egg rolls is a must . Super delicious. Coconut water is A1 . I'll definitely be back again .

Pho tai with spring rolls once Again

Came to this place 3xs within a week and I have to say it's a straightforward pho place. I've been ordering pho tai and it's been great every time. Service is great, they greet you, you sit down, you eat, you pay, they say thank you and you leave. The times I've been there it's not as packed but the pho broth is flavorful , spring rolls goes great with my pho. For the price of pho , you can't beat it. The place itself is pretty large with outdoor seatings and the Che ba Mau is always a must before I leave. It's a place I would recommend to try and will definitely be back considering it is so close to my boyfriend's house !

I've been here a couple of time for the past couple of years. I'm gonna say this in the nicest way possible but I truly just come here for the food and the food only. The pho is one of the best spots in SGV and unbeatable prices! $12 for an XL bowl of Pho Dac Biet that fed me 2 more times after I took the leftovers home for a total of 3 meals. Service is pretty transactional like many Asian owned restaurants in the 626. You order what you want, flag them down when you need something, and you pay up in the front once you're done eating. Don't expect small talk which is nice sometimes when I just want to sit down and eat. The restaurant itself isn't the cleanest, but there's free parking in the lot. Coming here in the evenings is a fun vibe because there's an elderly Vietnamese uncle who sings karaoke outside the restaurant with a portable karaoke machine.

*Name is now Pho Ha Long. Pho Ha Long might just have won the spot for my go to pho place in the SGV. This is your authentic Vietnamese owned pho restaurant that surprisingly has awesome service! You expect great food, low price, but usually not with an added great customer service. The pho was delicious. They have the perfect proportion of soup, noodles, and beef in the regular size we got. The soup gives you that refreshing but tasty pho flavor that you expect, while the noodles compliment the soup. The only complaint is that the beef was overcooked as I like my pho tais to come out more rare. Combine the almost perfect bowl of pho with great outdoors seating, pre-pandemic prices, and great service, this is easily a 5-star restaurant. If the day is ever cloudy outside and a little bit cooler, having a bowl of pho in outdoor seating is unbeatable!

No more stamp card! Sadness! This place still tries to keep their prices low, which is why I like this place; other places charge $3-$5 more per plate. The workers are courteous. I ordered 3 hainan chicken meals to go ($10/ea), and they brought it out to me when I was waiting outside. I didn't have to wait long, either. I loved the food--very fulfilling. I can eat the rice and sauce all day... It's a typically looking pho restaurant, nothing fancy. There's always parking when I visit.

    Extra large pho ga
    Mary N.

The pho was fine, the portion was enormous, and the prices were great. Eating here was a real experience LOL. The fans blowing warm air, the old Vietnamese man doing solo karaoke in the parking lot with loud speakers, and the menu with stickers and marker updating prices and items. I had a great time. Cash only!!

    5. Pho Fillet Mignon Special

Got the large filet with tendon. You can't get a medium size with the filet mignon option. The large size only felt like its only a bigger bowl with only more soup but the protein and carb servings are the same as a medium. With tendon, it came out to whopping $17. Not really affordable pho imo.

    Joy H.

Ordered from grubhub and picked up my order, I read reviews that they might mess up your order so I double checked and everything was correct. The food was very good, especially for the price point (less than $10 for a big bowl of pho!!). Super underrated place. Everything- the egg rolls, pho, and the shrimp roll- were a solid 4.5/5. I do wish they gave more condiments though, especially because they cut the lettuce in half to wrap one egg roll. We only ordered one XL bowl of pho to lightly share amongst 3 people, but I would say an XL bowl could probably fill two very hungry people. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend grubhub/doorDash for this place. Would 100% be back!

The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. If you are craving Brodards in OC this place can satisfy your craving. Their che ba mau which is a 3 bean dessert has a lot of beans inside topped with coconut milk and shaved ice. It is the person drink to finish your meal and it is not too sweet.

However, what you'll find is a clean and efficient mom-and-pop place with plenty of tables for the family. Service is quick, and parking is available in front. Parking might be challenging on busy nights. I ordered the Pho and spring rolls; I found the broth to be rich and freshly flavored. The spring rolls are large and filled with shrimp and pork, meeting expectations. I'll definitely return.

I ordered egg rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The egg rolls came out first. Fresh from the fryer with lettuce, herbs and the nuoc mam/fish sauce. I ended up fishing that on my own (first meal of the day haha). I was wondering where my pho was. I flagged down the server and he seemingly forgot. He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.
