Decent spot and good service. I tried their mixed seafood pho. I like their beef brisket pho better, but they're both good.

I've never had heartburn before. 2 hours later and I'm still in pain, already took Alka Seltzer and Tums. The protein portions are in the small side. It was tasty but something in the mixed vermicelli gave me a severe case of heartburn and I've eaten and love very spicy food before, this meal in particular had zero spice so not sure what is causing it.

Normally things are fine, but I recently found a small hair in my spring roll. Doubt you can even see it, but thought it was something to share. It's not worth arguing with them about it in my opinion-- I can see it not going well AT ALL. I desperately wanted it to be my own hair, but it was tucked into the roll and my strands just don't feel and look that way--who knows maybe I'm wrong. That's the chance I take when eating out. I assume their hair is "clean", but still a bit disturbing. Ending up throwing out the other roll and rest of my pho. Good luck, I'm sure it's just a one-off, but likely my last visit, which I'm sure they couldn't care less about lol.

The service was exceptional, and they were really on top of it. I don't know if it's a family or own business but if it isn't, there were way too many employees present and not enough customers. I was suspicious feeling that they have some kind of a deal with some advertising that was blasting so loudly that we couldn't hear ourselves. They have some kind of a radio station or something consistently speaking louder than their TV sets that is advertising for some stupid program and it's on a loop and so loud and obnoxious that we wanted to leave in the middle of our meal. Our Pho was not impressive. The broth was very watery and not rich. The windows were dirty, and the place did not look clean. We won't be returning.

Came here randomly as I saw someone recommend it on social media. I got the surf n turf garlic noodles for take out and was impressed! I do wish it wasn't as "saucy" as it was but overall flavor was good! The price was very reasonable in comparison to other Vietnamese spots. And the gentleman gave me a refresher drink for the road! Will be coming back to try their other items!

Flavor Budz What's Good! So why am I just finding out about Pho Crystal?! (Lol) NGL, I'm from Carson, like from Carson, who has been here since I was a kid. Mind you, I drive past this restaurant literally every other day and never really noticed it, I know, shame, lol But we'll circle back to that story later, lol. My husband and I wanted something warm and confronting to eat so we came here. First impressions are lasting impressions and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were seated promptly and was able to place our order within 10 minutes of being seated. We ordered the Brisket Pho and it was flavorful, the Brisket was tender and plentiful. The portion size was a reasonable price this was hospitable experience. If you're looking for a family friendly restaurant to eat, laugh and enjoy time with the people you care about I would recommend dinning here.

This is my favorite pho place so far in the area. The broth is really good quality and balanced. For the small size there's also a good amount of meat and noodles. Food came out fast and fresh. We also ordered the pork chop rice plate. Nuoc mam is also well made. Service was great! Also love the tapioca dessert they give at the end.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and the service was great. The server was attentive of my guest and I. She asked us if we needed anything every so often. The ambiance was spacious and we went before dinner time so not a lot of people. I enjoyed it and the food was so delicious. We didn't know what to choose, we wanted to get everything. We started with the Crystal appetizer platter, and the shrimp puffs were our favorite. We wanted more! My guest ordered the meat with egg rice platter and I ordered the seafood combination #2 with chicken broth! So amazing helped me with my sinuses! I can't wait to come back and try the surf and turf!

I've been sick and we decided Pho might help. We found this place as we were driving to the mall. It did not disappoint! We were sat down quickly, and staff was friendly. Despite the rain, there were quite a few people there. They have music playing and the decor is nice, too. We will definitely be returning.

Morning brunch was fantastic. Semi busy with plenty of seating available. Atmosphere was great with good choice of music. Upon entering, the server greeted and politely directed to my table. Very courteous, gave me enough time to order and especially answer any questions I may have especially about their selection of Pho choices. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, DRINKS: 1. Lemon water 2. Vietnamese Ice Coffee (only one size) APPETIZER: 1. Shrimp Puffs (6 Pcs) Seasoned shrimp wrapped in wonton shells and fried to golden perfection and served witha side of sauce. MAIN: 1. The Traditional Combo (Pho) Sliced steak, brisket, flank, tendon and tripe in a clear, aromatic broth. 2. Side of Shrimp (3pcs) and Beef Ball (2 pcs but cut in half to look like 4) Overall experience was amazing. The broth flavor and temperature was perfect. For a large size felt medium with a large bowl and especially the side items for $4 each, I expected more. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Ordered the Brisket Pho, spring rolls and Thai read through DD. The soup base was too salty. The meat wasn't dry but it wasn't soft like I prefer. The spring rolls have meat and personally I only want shrimp in it. The Thai tea was the only thing I really enjoyed. Overall it was okay.

My favorite pho place ! Love the spring rolls too they are so good and the workers are very attentive.

They have a good ad running in social media. That made me try this place. But, sorry! If you didn't had the best pho place before, this will be good for you. We ordered seafood pho, chicken broth is too salty. Fried egg rolls is too dry, not cooked right and lacks the proper condiments that goes with it. Grilled pork is not grilled. It's fried with too much oil, too sweet! Service and ambiance, one star. This is a place at least you tried but will never come back. read more

I came here on a Tuesday for brunch. Parking is tricky. I ended up parking next door and walked over. I was in a 30 min spot and nervous that I would get towed. I ordered my usual: small rare beef, tendon and tripe. They didnt have this option so I picked one that also included brisket. (I recently had an experience in La Quinta where I ordered a small bowl and added tendon and was overcharged). The restaurant is very clean and wonderful, friendly customer service. Employees are wearing masks and are very clean and careful. Upon returning from the restroom, my plate of fresh veggies and water were delivered. 2 mins later, my bowl arrives. Broth is hot(not scorching hot that I prefer), tons of meat/ingredients. Would recommend and return! read more

A delightful surprise that we stumbled on. Grilled pork bun (vermicelli) was excellent- refreshing cucumbers, pickled carrots daikon, and bean sprouts with lettuce, and the pork was so tasty! Pho had a nice flavor, and the pork chop on the special rice dish was really good as well. Will look forward to coming back. Service was also super friendly and attentive. read more

Beyond grateful to have this place near work and home! I wanted the Pho but this California heat wave pushed me towards the vermicelli The employees here are ALWAYS friendly and attentive! We ordered the Vermicelli Combo#2 with Beef, Grilled Shrimp and Eggrolls, an order of eggrolls, shaken beef with rice and Mung Bean with Tapioca dessert on the house! Ambiance: Just a regular pho spot, noise level is average and it's very relaxing and clean. Just wear your comfy clothes but not too comfy. Food: Delicious!!! I got the number 29 and it was good from the noodles, to the egg rolls and the grilled beef ( was tender and easy to chew). The spring rolls were yummy and went well with the peanut sauce. My boyfriend and I aren't from the area , we actually have a favorite Vietnamese spot we've been going to for years back home. When we went it was empty maybe 1 or 2 customers . We ordered and asked for chili oil . The young lady was very weird and awkward I'm not sure what her deal was , she literally was staring at us the entire time we ate which was VERY uncomfortable lol . We'd look at her and then she'd turn around . The food was decent , service a ZERO and the vibe was pretty weird. Maybe some music or tv for sound. Definitely won't be returning just based off the service . read more

Spring rolls are not as tasteful as one might think for being "grilled" meats. The peanut sauce is extremely watered down and runny. Not worth the price. Best head down to Pho Ever in Gardena, it's worth the drive out there. read more

Excellent Service! The staff are attentive, checking on you without being too intrusive. I've been here a few time before. I love the Pho. The broth is rich and full flavor. The Spring Rolls with BBQ Pork was just okay. Today I ordered something different, Garlic Noodles with Tiger Shrimp and Beef. The noodles was more of a sweet hint, I didn't taste the garlicky flavor. The Tiger Shrimp was flavorful, however only 3 pieces. The Beef was actually very tender and flavorful. Clean environment and relax vibe. Very homely. read more

Came in on Sunday night about 7:30 p.m. they were closing up and at first they said takeouts only but I spoke with Brian and he was able to seat us. Very nice because typically when it's slow they'd like to close dine in service early which I understand. I'm glad that we were able to dine in it's much better experience. We had the shrimp and pork spring rolls which were excellent and then had the beef combination pho. Probably the best pho I've had in LA and the service was excellent. My favorite pho place. I always get either the combo 1 (traditional) or 2 (seafood) and I am never disappointed. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and their name has changed and owners are different, but their flavor continues to be amazing. It always hits that spot. I've order to go and delivered, but the best is to eat on-site. Their staff is just the nicest people and they are very kind. Absolutely love this restaurant and my children do too. One of the few they ask for. Today I am trying their surf and turf, I am sure I will be very pleased, although I really wanted the regular combo 1. Getting out of my bubble here! Good quick meal. The last time I had great Pho was pre-COVID and this place hasn't changed that. Then Pho lacks body and they lack standard Pho condiments like chili oil. Service was good and quick and I do not regret my decision. However I also do not believe that I will be back. Hopefully they will improve, I'll monitor reviews and revisit if they improve. read more

I have tried sooooooo many pho places & this is the one I always seem to come back to because it never disappoints. I have dined in with family and also pick up often. They are always really friendly in person and over the phone! Their prices are super reasonable as well! I always get the chicken pho (they only have small or large size). The broth is perfect and they give a fair amount of noodles. Their Thai tea is amazing - with or without boba! When you dine in, they give a complementary sweet tapioca pudding that is delicious...my sister and I look forward to this every time! read more

My best friend and I have been on a quest to find good (even as forgiving as just close to authentic) pho, especially him and by far, this place... the broth is amazing by itself! I aim to eat here more often despite coming from Long Beach because that is how amazing the pho here is! And for reasonable prices too! 10/10 would recommend and bring a friend here! read more

Been here a few times, it's been through a few owners and it's conveniently close. Employees are nice, the service is good but for me where it lacks is in the food. Definitely mediocre and needs more flavor so try it for yourself but that's just palate. The establishment is fairly clean and the decor is pretty vanilla. read more

This was my first time here in years since back when it was Pho-King Way. The service at Pho Crystal was great. The food was very tasty and the restaurant was nice and clean. They were playing what I believe was 95.9 The Fish on the radio, which I thought was a nice touch as well. Will be going back. read more

Super delicious! Fourth time back! Excellent tasting food. Ate it before I could take pictures. (The picts here are from last time.) We had shrimp puffs which are better than a puff as they're wrapped in a wonton wrapper. Everything was delicious! Service was courteous and prompt. read more

My husband and I love this spot! It's super close to my parent's house so we come here a lot. We always get the pork and shrimp spring rolls. It's fresh, delicious, and the sauce is by far my favorite! I will sometimes get the fried egg rolls which are also very flavorful and juicy! The pho is also rich with deep flavors and they give good portions of meat. Love it here! read more

If you have a need for Pho, it does the job. Overall, the food was okay. The pho broth was good but the noodles I was not a fan of. The fried shrimp rolls were good but tasted a little dirty if that makes sense. They were cheap and it wasn't premium shrimp. Overall, not bad for a lunch. read more

Just moved to the San Pedro area and was looking for good Vietnamese food and I think I've found it. I ordered for delivery and the food came to my House fresh with nice presentation. Well i had seen this on Instagram and shared it with him two weeks prior. At first he wanted to go to Nobu or there were a few other high end options, but that is not his style honestly. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.

When I pointed toward a container to clarify, she snapped at me with attitude, "No, that's a wine glass," even though I wasn't pointing anywhere near it. To make matters worse, a single to-go drink is over $20--at that price, I'd rather just buy a whole bottle.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
