My boyfriend and I aren't from the area , we actually have a favorite Vietnamese spot we've been going to for years back home. When we went it was empty maybe 1 or 2 customers . We ordered and asked for chili oil . The young lady was very weird and awkward I'm not sure what her deal was , she literally was staring at us the entire time we ate which was VERY uncomfortable lol . We'd look at her and then she'd turn around . The food was decent , service a ZERO and the vibe was pretty weird. Maybe some music or tv for sound. Ambiance: Just a regular pho spot, noise level is average and it's very relaxing and clean. Just wear your comfy clothes but not too comfy. Food: Delicious!!! Spring rolls are not as tasteful as one might think for being "grilled" meats. The peanut sauce is extremely watered down and runny. Not worth the price. Best head down to Pho Ever in Gardena, it's worth the drive out there. read more

The Spring Rolls with BBQ Pork was just okay. Today I ordered something different, Garlic Noodles with Tiger Shrimp and Beef. The noodles was more of a sweet hint, I didn't taste the garlicky flavor. Came in on Sunday night about 7:30 p.m. they were closing up and at first they said takeouts only but I spoke with Brian and he was able to seat us. Very nice because typically when it's slow they'd like to close dine in service early which I understand. I'm glad that we were able to dine in it's much better experience. My favorite pho place. I always get either the combo 1 (traditional) or 2 (seafood) and I am never disappointed. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and their name has changed and owners are different, but their flavor continues to be amazing. It always hits that spot. They are always really friendly in person and over the phone! Their prices are super reasonable as well! I always get the chicken pho (they only have small or large size). My husband and I love this spot! It's super close to my parent's house so we come here a lot. We always get the pork and shrimp spring rolls. It's fresh, delicious, and the sauce is by far my favorite! I will sometimes get the fried egg rolls which are also very flavorful and juicy! Service and atmosphere is pretty good. But there is one food item i dont recommend that much, is the vermicelli. The amount of lettuce and bean sprouts is insanely overwhelming, i had to take out a bunch of them because i couldnt mix my noodles with the sauce. Even the bowl was large! And its enough veggies to fill a cup. The sauce was a little bland and i had to rely on other sauces to bring up some flavor. Other than that, the meats were meh. While the food was tasty and fresh and the portions were plentiful, they have one big flaw that they need to address, and that is cleanliness. The other thing they need to do is wear hair-nets to avoid dropping hair into the food. When our Pho arrived, we immediately noticed a strand of hair in the bowl. When they brought us silverware, every utensil had streaks. When they brought us out serving bowls, all the bowls were greasy. When I pointed it out to them, they replaced them but didn't seem to care much and blamed it on their dishwasher. I almost should give them 2 stars for lack of hygiene, but... like they say, "the best Chinese food has C rating", maybe that applies here. I'll concede and give them 3 stars because their food tastes just good enough. If they clean up the other stuff, I'd easily give them a 4. The spring rolls were very good. The Garlic Noodles with Tiger Shrimp and Shaken Beef was yummy. The meat in Premium Pho was portioned a tad on the lesser side and the broth was barely good enough. I am a really harsh pho critic because being full Vietnamese, my momma and sister makes the best pho! I ordered the combination special pho with all the varieties of meats. I did enjoy the cuts. This place was a mediocre pho restaurant for me. The flavor was okay: not fabulous, not bad. I wished I smelled more of the star anise and pho 5 spices. The price was okay. I think I paid around 8 dollars for a small bowl, which filled me up. I appreciate that they have outdoor dining. One thing I don't like is that they let us use really thin plastic spoons, which were hard to eat from. I need something more sturdy to carry the broth. Service was okay. No one came to ask if I was doing okay. Also, I don't know who the owners were but a lot of the staff were not Vietnamese, which made me question the authenticity of the shop. Fantastic! Got the spring rolls and the vermicelli. Both were delicious and very fresh. Definitely opt for the "shrimp sausage" thing if you can; it was like layers of crispy filo dough with shrimp inside *chef's kiss* The ambiance is alright; it's not a place for a romantic date night but it is very clean and perfectly suitable for a quality meal at a good price. The service was very polite and attentive. We interacted with 3 workers while we were there and they were all very responsive, welcoming, and willing to explain the menu. Will be back! :) read more
