This wasn't bad it just want good either. I ordered the grilled pork spring roll to start with and it was pretty bland. Usually the grilled pork will carry a lot of flavor but this one was lacking. I looked at the different pho options and I typically order the rare beef at other places. I couldn't find it on this menu so I asked the waitress if their round steak was the rare kind that then cooks in your broth. She nodded and said yes. I'm pretty sure she didn't understand a word I said because when it came out it was completely cooked steak. The broth was pretty weak and needed to be doctored up a good bit. My favorite pho spots are in the Garland/Richardson area, and I've been having a hard time finding a good go to pho spot in West Plano. Pho Apple is that place. I've only had the pho and some appetizers, but the broth is delicious and everything else that usually comes standard is up to par too. Also, their service is great - especially for an Asian place (I can say that bc I'm Asian). At most pho places, I have to get up and go to someone or fill up my water myself. Not here. Nice place to get Pho, I live in Maryland and googled Vietnamese food in the Frisco area since I was here for work and I love me a good Pho. I got the Curry Chicken Pho (which I have never seen in any of the Vietnamese restaurants in the Maryland area). I got the Medium spicy kind and the soup was excellent. Very flavourful sort of like the Mullogotawny soup. I guess this soup was created for the strong south asian community in the area. I also tried the Grilled pork Sandwich (Banh mi) which was delicous as well. Baked French baguette stuffed with grilled pork, chili sauce, mayo, pickeled carrots,cucumber, cilantro and some other goodies . Was honestly a little disappointed with this place. I had the springs rolls and the seafood pho. The spring rolls were amazing and the peanut sauce was delicious. Great Pho. You get a huge portion of Thai basil-very fresh, jalapenos, a fresh lime, and sprouts. All the necessary trappings for an excellent bowl of Pho. I got the my usual items to see how they compare....shrimp spring rolls and the pho dac biet (combination beef pho). The spring rolls were fresh but similar to other places. The pho had a very clear broth when it came to the table. At first I thought it was a mistake. But after a taste, it was pretty good. It was not oily, and not overly salty. The quality of the meats were good but I thought the quantity was a little lacking, would have loved a few more pieces. It came with a plate of veggies, like any other place. The place was clean, average in size for a pho restaurant, and the staff was friendly. I got my food super quick too, in about 5 minutes. Found this place coming out of Wally World and, being a pho lover, was curious if this place could win me over. Bam, another hidden gem on my go-to list. The pho is EXCELLENT! Great broth, plenty of meat for a carnivore such as myself and super fresh accents(basil, cilantro, etc.). The springs rolls taste fresh, esp. the grilled pork. The food comes out relatively quickly, and there's always little to no oils at the surface of the soup. They have a clean taste. The only problem I've ever had was during my most recent visit where the noodles were somewhat overdone, so they just melted in my mouth. Other than that, everything else was fine. A plate of spring rolls is always a good appetizer to start off with. Edit: The shrimp in their vermicelli was overcooked when my dad ordered it yesterday. In his words, "It felt like chewing on rubber." I didn't try any, so I'll take his word for it since he's a restaurant owner and chef. It's a shame I have to put one star because this used to be my favorite Pho spot until today. I got a to go order and thought I would enjoy my spring roll as I drive back to work. While at a stop light I look down to a long black hair sticking out from where I just took a bite. I really hope I didn't not eat any of it because now I just feel sick to my stomach. I went back to the restaurant and all the employee did was give me my money back. He did not say he felt bad or he was sorry that happened. He did not offer to have a new one made for me. Just handed me my $1.50 and saw me on my way. I know this place gets very busy around lunch time but that shouldn't mean you should take away from your customer service.
