The wait staff has been very friendly. I have become very boring ... I order Pho Tai almost exclusively. Didn't have a spring roll, but my friends didn't die or make weird faces while eating it, so I'd assume it was satisfactory. This was my second time here and I like this place! This is one of the only pho places that we have gone to that has shrimp pho on the menu and doesn't charge me extra. They also take the tails off the shrimp unlike other places so i don't have to burn my finger tips trying! I also had their combo fried rice and it is the best i have had in Texas thus far!!!!! Not stingy on the meat. Now my only concern was the juice to noodle ratio was horrible. I had a full bowl of noodles when i was done. We've been here twice in the past two weekends. I had pho tai (rare steak) and my partner had pho ga (chicken). We both thought the pho was delicious, with particularly tasty broth. Skip the meatballs if you don't care for tendons (yuck, I ended up spitting out half the meatballs). Skip the fresh shrimp spring rolls (goi cuon), as they're way overpriced ($3.95) for two tiny under-filled spring rolls. They're good, but very small for the price. Likewise, skip the crispy egg rolls (cha gio), for the same reason. Two tasty, but tiny egg rolls for $3.50. Service is poor-to-average, especially when they get busy. But the pho is good enough to justify return visits. Stay far, far away from the front door if it's cold and windy out. You'll thank me later! read more

This is one of the better pho places in Dallas. I had an order of shrimp spring rolls and a large combination pho. The shrimp spring rolls tasted really fresh and flavorful and had the right portions of ingredients inside the rice wrap. The peanut sauce tasted like any other peanut sauce you get at pho restaurants. The combination pho which included most of the meat choices was good and there was a lot of it. The meat and broth tasted really clean for some reason, it was something I could easily distinguish from other pho restaurants. The broth wasn't as oily like other pho places have and the noodles were perfect. The only issue I had was that the size of a large bowl seemed small. Compared to places like I luv Pho, the large at Pho Apple could be a small at I luv Pho. The service was great, we were seated immediately as we entered with friendly staff. I am definitely a newbie to the world the world of Pho. This was only my second time having this dish. Pho Apple did not disappoint. I ordered A2 which has shrimp, chicken, and steak for take out. Everything was packaged wonderfully. The beef broth was still hot when I got to my destination 25 minutes later. I liked that I was able to build my soup to my liking. First I put in my proteins so they were able to cook in the hot broth while I stir in my other ingredients. Once I added the noodles, cilantro, jalapeños, and the sauces, I let the soup sit for about minutes. Finally I tried it and it was AMAZING. FYI - They only do size Large on Pho To go Orders. The Rice Plate was simple and good. Your choice of meat and veggies (lettuce, tomatoe, picked carrots, and cucumbers) and a side of fish sauce. They use quality Jasmine rice, not broken, crushed rice like other Vietnamese restaurants. The grilled pork chop was marinated perfectly, but wish they would give more meat. On to the pho, I'm very picky with the broth. You can tell they added MSG into it. It was okay for my taste. I, personally, would not come back for the pho. read more

Went here today for lunch after my MCAT Winter bootcamp class with my mom. The outside of Pho Apple is quite nice, but the inside is a bit small so definitely plan to get there early so you can get a table. We were seated quickly, but it took a while for the waiter to take our order. Honestly, the one thing that this place could improve on would be the quality of the service. For example, once my mom and I got our food, they immediately gave us the bill and no one ever came around to refill our waters. However, the highlight of this place is definitely the food and drink. My mom ordered the Vietnamese Iced coffee, while I ordered the Thai Tea. I thought the Vietnamese Iced coffee was a bit too strong for my taste and I definitely enjoyed the Thai Tea because it was not too sweet and had a strong tea flavor. In regards to the food, we got the shrimp spring roll appetizer and seafood pho with beef broth. The shrimp spring roll is an amazing appetizer and comes with some of the best peanut sauce I have ever tasted at a Vietnamese restaurant. In addition, the pho was reasonably priced and came with a good amount of seafood. I was surprised that it came with 3 shrimp, lot of fish balls, and some squid as well. The broth is also very flavorful and not too salty as well. Overall, if you are in the Plano neighborhood and are looking for a nice place for pho, I highly recommend trying out this place.
