P3. Pho Combo | Phở Đặc Biệt

Came here last night for dinner. The place was a decent size and the service was great. We ordered appetizers and entrees. Both came out very quick and were delicious. I'd highly recommend this place if it Pho you're looking for!

Pho soup was delicious. Ordered w some spring rolls. We tried the sugar cane juice. If you love sugar cane juice then great. Next time will be pairing w some Thai ice tea.

P1 the pho in hot stone bowl. This js 5 stars given it has 2 big oxtails 1 to 2 short ribs and beef tripes, raw beef slides and flank (not overcooked or dry) it's about $25 and really enough fpr 2 people. I tried crabmeat noodles, i was very disappointed. After almost 2 hours ride i had high hope to try it. The broth itself is very bland, i don't see crab meat so probably mixed into the pork meatballs. Very little crab flavor nor shrimps paste flavor. The meatballs with crab are very dry, shrimp balls also very dry and tough (definitely not made by only shrimp). There are also small cubes of dry tofu in the bowl, tomatoes, and Vietnamese spam. I ate about 1/4 of it. Fried egg roll doesn't have much pork and don't have wood ears. Seems like it's filled with noodles taro... not the traditional egg roll i prefer. Other dishes like rare beed pho and P2 had good feedback from my family. Finally the steam rice roll is good, i only had 1/2 pieces and it's gone. Not to mention i love their Vietnamese coffee and durian milkshake! The restaurant is spacious and clean. Service is good and parking is easy.

If you haven't tried this place.....you're missing out! The restaurant is in a strip mall alongside ShopRite. If you aren't looking for this place. You can drive right past it. I order #P2 Pho (Beef brisket, tendons, tripe). The soup is tasty. Usually most places have a big bowl of pho but mainly just soup and very little of anything else. Not this place. They jammed pack the whole bowl with stuff. I loved that they served the freshest ingredients. I would have to say this is probably the best Pho in Jersey! If you're in the area and wanna try a new place out. Give this place a try

My new fav pho spot in NJ. Huge portions. Quality ingredients. Delicious pho broth. Fast friendly service. It was so good that we ate here two days in a row. Really love their p1 and p2 pho as well as their crab meat noodle soup. We also tried their appetizer samplers which was so good. It came with grilled pork skewers, fried egg rolls, shrimp wontons, summer rolls, and some beef wrapped in a veggie. Def worth it. I can't wait to go back.

Dinner for four on a Tuesday night. Started w some chicken wings, tasty and freshly fried - too hot to hold. Then two beef phos, one vermicelli with egg rolls and a banh mi sandwich with roast pork and a ethnic dish which was water spinach w bots of tofu. And finally a crepe with shrimp and veg. Fresh veg, right temps, attentive service and a pitcher of water. Fresh basil, cilantro was good too. Nice place, parking inside a strip of stores w a ShopRite. Easy to get to, will come back

I started hitting the gym again. On my first day after my two hour workout, I went home and ate a salad. While working out on my second day all I could think about is FOOD and what I should eat afterwards. I am not big on pho but it was what I was craving. Disappointed that my favorite spot is closed on Tuesdays I decided to check this place out. Here is what I ordered: - fresh lemonade with club soda - deep fried Vietnamese egg rolls - pho with meatballs For me it's all about the broth and the texture of the noodles. It was a 10/10!I inhaled my bowl. A fricken salad after a workout just doesn't cut it. Boss Lady was very hospitable, attentive and came by our table numerous times to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Will definitely return. Plenty of parking.

Pho Anh Dao has always been a college staple, serving up hot bowls of pho that hit the spot. This time, we tried their BBQ pork and spring rolls on vermicelli noodles (bun thut nuong). It wasn't as flavorful as Pho Today's, but it was good for the pricepoint. Still, we love the service here! Ordered: Brisket Pho, Pork Bun Thit Nuong

Loved this place! As someone who's Vietnamese, I am a bit picky with my Vietnamese restaurants but this place was amazing! From the service, to the food, to the ambience, it was a very welcoming restaurant with great food. The bun rieu I had was really good as well as the durian smoothie. My bf had a bowl of pho (not pictured) which was also really good and flavorful. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back!

Myself into friends were hungry for lunch on a Monday and we were debating getting Ramen or pho and we're happy we went with pho because Pho Ahn Dao was a great place to stop in at. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting into the point with good calming music. The food itself was exactly what we wanted and needed. It was hot delicious and savory. It was my friends first time having fun and she absolutely loved it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who's interested in a nice Vietnamese meal in the area!

After running errands in the area, it was lunchtime and I needed some pho for this cold day. My husband mentioned that this was his go-to Viet place back in his college days so we stopped in on a Saturday at around 1 PM. To start, we ordered the classic banh mi. It was a pretty solid banh mi for a restaurant, because they're usually hit or miss. The bread was fresh and lightly toasted. Normally, we would have ordered spring rolls but I saw they use regular spring roll paper instead of rice paper (IMO, the easy way out, especially since you can make these ahead). For my main I ordered the combo pho. Maybe I ordered the wrong one but I thought it would come with some rare beef, which it didn't. Other than that, the broth was good, which is the most important part of a pho. Hubby had the grilled pork chop with shredded pork, egg patty, and egg on white rice. The pork chop was really good. Even though it was thin, which can be easy to overcook, it was perfect here. Next time, I think I'll try the tiny rice noodle dishes or cold vermicelli bowls.

Great spot and great staff! Appears very authentic and the staff had no issue with the 6 of us showing up Sunday evening a short time before closing and did not rush us out. They clarified what had pork or chicken broth and served us quickly with fresh and delicious food! Would love to come back.

Pho with beef and beef balls.

Simple and plain pho place. I have to say it is quite disappointing. Beef was not very fresh and little. I enjoy pho but not this one.

Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.

The space is nice with good seating and a clean, comfortable setup. Tried the stir-fried chili tofu, brown rice, and noodles. The noodles were the best part--flavorful and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the tofu was quite average with not much taste, and the brown rice was a bit too dry for our liking. Parking is tough around this place .. paid parking mostly . If you're in NJ and craving Hong Kong-style wonton noodle soup, head to Wonton Guy in Edison. It's a no-frills local gem tucked away in a tiny strip mall off Route 27, with a few parking spots out front and more in the back. The space is small (only 10 tables!) and nothing fancy, but the value is hard to beat. It's always busy, and after you take your first slurp of the soup, you'll get why. Service is fast, so the tables turn over quickly. I was able to grab a seat when I walked in on a Saturday evening. The menu is simple and offers 3 main options: 1.) noodle soup with toppings 2.) soup with toppings (no noodles) 3.) lo mein with toppings served with soup on the side From there, you pick your noodle type (egg, flat rice, vermicelli), as well as up to 3 toppings (wontons, dumplings, beef brisket, etc.). There are also a few side dishes like shredded pork in chili tomato sauce, deep fried fish skin, and curry fish balls. They even sell some items raw like wontons, noodles, dumplings, and sliced beef. And the best part is... the prices are very affordable! Most of the dishes are around $11-$16. My order: *Two Toppings (wonton + beef brisket) Noodle Soup [$12.75] - Where do I begin? Every single part of this meal SLAPPED. The wontons were MUMBO JUMBO and generously filled with fresh, plump shrimp that were sweet and juicy. The noodles were soft and springy. The beef brisket was SO tender with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. And the broth? Super rich, aromatic, and savory. It's made of shrimp skin, pork bone, dried flounder fish, dried shrimp, and dried monk fruit, but it doesn't taste fishy at all. Each table is stocked with condiments like vinegar, homemade chili oil, and soy sauce to customize your soup. The chili oil packs some SERIOUS HEAT, so watch out. This was hands down one of the best noodle soups I've had. I was sad when I finished it :-( *Hong Kong-style Milk Tea [$6] - I really enjoyed this! The black tea was bold and strong--almost too strong for me, but the milk balanced it out nicely. I only wish it had boba! Everything tasted authentic. Quick backstory: The owner comes from a family with GENERATIONS of experience making wontons and running noodle shops in Hong Kong. He grew up there and brought those family traditions to his own restaurants in Toronto... and now Edison. All those years of experience clearly show in his food. The broth is simmered overnight, and the wontons are freshly prepared every morning. No shortcuts here--just decades of tradition, skill, and a whole lot of love in every bowl. Ugh, I wish I lived closer because I'd be a regular. It's hard these days to find a place that REALLLLLLY delivers a memorable meal that's both tasty, reasonably priced, and served in generous portions. If you're within driving distance and debating whether it's worth the trip--DON'T! Wonton Guy is absolutely worth a visit, even if it's just once. I drove an hour to try it, and I still think about those wontons all the time... no joke LOL.
