    Pork chop

Solid spot for Vietnamese food. I came here on at Saturday 5:30pm and this place was already packed. I ordered the banh xeo and pork chop with rice both were delicious and authentic. Banh xeo was crispy and thin. My bf ordered pho, and the broth was not as flavorful and was light. Service was fast and our server came every often to check up on us. Overall, I would come back whenever I'm in the area.

Pho Today has excellent pho! The inside is huge and gives diner vibes. We came when it was super busy so the service was a bit slow to take our order and close out but the food comes quickly after ordering. I've tried a few pho places in the area recently and this has been the clear winner in terms of taste. The pho broth is quite flavorful. I recommend the summer rolls (loved their peanut sauce) and the vegetarian pho. My husband enjoyed his pho tai.

The restaurant is quite modern and chic on the inside, despite its basic outward appearance. I loved that they recognized me for being a traveler with my roller suitcase and gave me a seat that would let me have it near by without getting in everyone's way. The food is tasty, especially the grilled pork summer roll. I predict it is prepared in the style of East Asian barbecue, which is tangy and slightly sweet. The entrée was very tasty for its spice, but also had a slight tangy sweetness to it. Desert was conveniently packaged as ready to be taken to go, regardless of actual intention. That made it suitable to take on my ride.

Went here again this past month and had a wonderful experience. I didn't want pho but I have allergies and didn't know what I could eat. I asked my server what dry beef dish was available that didn't have nuts and sesame. He immediately recommended his favorite - shaking beef and rice. As well as showing me a section on menu that would fit criteria. I decided to take his recommendation and I'm so glad I did - the dish was delicious! It was also loaded - don't let the photo fool you - I had some leftover to bring home. I'd order that again. The ambiance is still the same - sit down, clean, not fancy.

Editing my review to change this to 1 star. I'm so frustrated! I just asked for NO SPRING ROLL but they decided to take out the beef in the order too! I charged full price for rice noodles and shredded vegetables! I don't understand why this happens repeatedly, it's genuinely such a simple, harmless request. So disappointed, especially after coming to and supporting Pho Today for years.

Stopped in after Rutgers graduation for a large lunch. Place was packed. We had a couple of Vietnamese coffees - xould have been stronger. Started w a banh mi sandwich cut into four before the other three dishes showed up. Crispy bread, but could have used more filling. See photos of other dishes. Good service. Staff came by to refill our tea and water glasses and check on our meals. Like the place - clean, good staff, plenty of parking.

Enjoyed the calamari and shrimp summer roll as the appetizers. For my main dish I devoured the grilled pork, grilled shrimp and grilled beef with spring roll on rice vermicelli. Wished there were more shrimp in it as it was very tasty and delicious. Drank their very tart and fresh lemonade, not recommended if you prefer sweetened lemonade. Finished off my meal with Che Thai for dessert.

I love Pho and couldn't wait to try.this spot! When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in and was greeted. I sat, and Milenia was my server, and she was great! I ordered: Pinot Nior Sautéed corn with shrimp butter Stir fry shrimp with pepper and lemongrass on rice. chicken pho fried chicken and rice The food was excellent! My favorite definitely was the shrimp stir fry! It was an excellent experience!

I've been coming here since the South Plainfield location first opened, and I've always loved it. The food is consistently delicious, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. They also play great music, which adds to the atmosphere. This time, I visited with my goddaughter. When we entered, the host greeted us warmly and guided us to our table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive as she took our order. We ordered shrimp summer rolls, shrimp pho, a bánh mì, a coconut smoothie with boba, and a mango smoothie. The shrimp summer rolls came with the best peanut sauce I've ever had.it was absolutely amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The service was outstanding; our waitress was extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend this place!

Been here more times than I can count. Wow! The wait to be seated is usually no more than 10 minutes, if any. Waiters are kind people who genuinely care about you! Food is always cooked to perfection--they really seem to care about every detail. The music choice inside the restaurant? Give a raise to the staff who decides it because these songs are not the normal "PE teacher go-tos", these are catchy tunes that might just add more flavor to your food!

A friend took us here for dinner and highly recommended for really good pho . It was a rainy day. We got here shortly before it became too busy with the dinner rush and got a table for 4. Service was good. Ample parking outside. Note: Floors are slippery when wet so caution when walking. Hot tea to warm us up from the cold wet rain. Menu has plenty of options and food to select from even the picky eaters. Started off with the pork spring rolls which was good and tried the shrimp and pork vietnamese pancake which was interesting... Instead of everything mixed in already, the items were placed onto the pancake and just folded in. It would have been better all mixed in. For the entree, everyone ordered the short rib special which was huge!!! This menu is dine in only but can take home what you can't finish. A lot of meat with noodles. Meat and the broth were very tasty and highly recommend. Noodles were plentiful too. Definitely couldn't finish and took the rest home for another meal! Really good meal that was filling.

A trusty local Vietnamese spot, it's usually pretty packed even at non-regular meal times. They have an extensive menu, which I've started to explore more and more each time I come instead of sticking to just pho. Overall, their food is great - full of flavor and great portions. I've had their pho, bahn mi, rice noodle plate, and fried rice. All tasted great! I will warn though -- they seem to have a large kitchen with staff that works quickly, but I once got sick after eating their shrimp fried rice, and another time there was a piece of plastic in my bahn mi when I ordered delivery. They also have an event space, and you can usually expect quick service. Bubble tea is not great, at least when we tried it once the tapioca was hard.

I don't often see Canh Chua Thom on menus at Vietnamese restaurants, and enjoyed it here. It's a tangy sweet and sour tamarind based soup that pairs well with rice, and feels nice and comforting especially on a cold day. I also tried the Banh Xeo appetizer (crispy pancake) and loved it! I appreciated that they offer different protein options besides the standard shrimp. The owners/staff here also seem so lovely. I overheard them greeting regulars as well as families they haven't seen in a long time, and it just felt so warm and personable. I'd definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

It came with peanut sauce but we opted for fish sauce because of our daughter's peanut allergy. The rice paper wasn't soft and it felt rubbery. It was hard at the edges and made us wonder if it was premade. We wished it was fresher. S21 Bun Rieu, which is crab meat pork in tomato shrimp paste noodle soup. Daughter liked it and wasn't disappointed by it. D4- Mi Xao Dơn Do Biển, which is a combination of seafood and vegetables stir fried in a light sauce and served over crispy noodles. I was a little disappointed with this entree. We expected it to be egg noodles but it wasn't. There was hardly any proteins but mostly vegetable fillers. A9- Banh Xeo, which is coconut and rice flour crepe filled with a savory combination of bean sprouts and shrimp that's served on a bed of lettuce. This was ok but it wasn't as soft. The omelet tasted like it was overdone. I'm not sure if it was because we just came back from our trip to Los Angeles where all the Vietnamese food were top-notch but I felt a little disappointed with this place. Service was quick and friendly. Glad we got to try this place!

This was our second time visiting, and we experienced many of the same issues as our first visit. The table service was poor, with our meals arriving at different times. By the time the rest of our food arrived, the first group had already finished eating. We also had an issue with a dish that included bone marrow. The wait staff came back to confirm that we had ordered the dish with bone marrow, yet when it arrived, there was no bone marrow. This same issue happened during our first visit as well. We advised the wait staff about the problem, but the bone marrow was still never brought to our table. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us to see if we needed anything, including water refills. What made it more frustrating was watching other tables receive their food promptly while we continued waiting. The experience was disappointing, especially because it was my son's birthday and he was really looking forward to having the bone marrow. The food itself is good, but the service needs significant improvement. After having the same experience twice, I'm not sure we'll be returning.
