They are knowledgeable of their menu items and suggests items for first timers. Ambience: It is like a little house where you can go to enjoy food. It is not too noisy in here and the tables and seating are comfortable. We did not have to wait long to get seated. Special beef pho combo: The pho was cooked to perfection where it was not falling apart or overcooked. The beef and beef balls were cooked well along with the beef tripe. The soup base was well seasoned and did not need any extra sauces for this bowl of pho. Prices: The prices here are decent and not overpriced like some other Viet restaurants in New Jersey. Pretty good. Parking outside is decent with free parking by the church, and meter parking right outside. Place smells like Pho, so I had to have one. Got Beef Pho and it was pretty darned good. I also got shrimp summer rolls and found them to be boring, full of lettuce and bean sprouts with a very small portion of shrimp, and a mediocre peanut sauce. I didn't detect any mint in them. The ones I make at home are at least twice as good. I have yet to try the Pork Bahn Mi but I can say that the server was nice and spoke Spanish and English. It took a very long time till she was ready to take our order, and was a little confused about what we wanted (she was doing everything by memory), but all is well that ends well. I've been searching high and low for a good Pho spot. Nothing really came close until i found vPho. I ordered the special beef pho combo (i think that's the name) and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was so flavorful and together with the meat, It was love in my mouth. What a gem of a find. The service was prompt and speedy as well. Definitely will be my go to spot for Pho. A perfect rainy day find!! There is so much to love about this small little Vietnamese restaurant off the beaten path in Westfield. From the amble parking spots right outside their door (it is metered) to the beautiful plants both inside and outside, I was hooked before I even ordered my pho. I met my mom here for a little lunch and knew before I even took a look at the menu I was craving a bowl of hot pho. It was one of those rainy, dreary days that NJ seems to be plagued with recently. The team was so friendly and helpful. I ordered the beef pho and we shared the summer rolls to start. The summer rolls were fresh, filled with crisp veggies and meaty shrimp and the peanut sauce on the side was delicious. My beef pho might have been one of my favorites I've had in awhile. From first slurp I knew we found a gem. The broth was so flavorful and the meat was perfectly cooked. They have a few tables and I am sure would move them around to accommodate larger groups. My husband is Vietnamese, so I have had some amazing Vietnamese food in my life, whether cooked by his parents (his mom is a chef) or from restaurants he recommends. Because of this, I have become a bit of a Vietnamese food snob, and had high expectations for vPho. We ordered the beef pho with brisket, and the Box Platter Special with vermicelli and grilled pork. I always judge pho by the complexity of the broth, and this broth did not hit the spot for me. I didn't have that thick, rich, silky texture that I have come to love from pho. The broth was also too sweet for me and it didn't taste like the spices had been left to marinate in the rest of the broth for long enough. I also love when pho comes with lots of herbs and would've liked if this was packed with more. The pork over vermicelli was decent, and I loved how the box came with fresh rolls, spring rolls, and dumplings (Even though the dumplings and spring rolls seemed frozen). We were excited to stop by for dinner once we saw this location was opening being the Sister restaurant of Saigon Cafe which we love. It has a very similar feel as that location. As we entered we were immediately greeted and seated at a table for two. We were served some refreshing fruit flavored water while we perused the menu that just happens to be exactly the same as Saigons so it didn't take long to decide. My husband ordered the Grilled Pork Pao to start and the Special Beef Pho Combo. I ordered the Grilled Pork VBox Special. Now we have ordered these items at the other location so we were looking forward to see how they compared. After a brief wait the Pao arrived. I selected one and dipped it in the sauce and took a bite and it was great. I let my hubby finish it because his was already gone... Next they delivered my VBox It looked so nice I didn't want to touch it. Everything was arranged so perfectly. Then they brought my husbands Pho, obviously it's not served like the picture but he needs to add everything under the sun to it to make it super hot, I couldn't even taste it. My food was great, each item was delicious! The spring rolls crisp and tasty, The summer rolls had nice fresh shrimp, The dumplings had a great tasting filling, and the grilled pork was so flavorful. I just loved everything. As far as my husbands Pho he loved it as usual. He said the broth is the best he's tasted. His bowl was empty before I barely ate anything so of course he assisted me with mine. Wow! What a great find on a side street away from the hustle and bustle of Westfield. I had made a reservation for my brunch group and wasn't sure of the accommodations. I didn't realize that hey had an upstairs. It was perfect. There were 8 of us and we were the only ones up there. It was so nice. We were not forgotten about being up there and the service was great. The gentleman that took our order was so helpful in describing the menu and very helpful. A few of us ordered the VBoxes while others ordered a soup of some sort. I ordered the spicy lemongrass soup with shrimp and it was quite tasty. I added some Sriracha to add some more spice. As far as the food, the broth for the beef pho was delicious. I did wish there was more meat though. That was a bit disappointing for the price compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've eaten. I have been to numerous Vietnamese restaurants before but this one is my favorite. The soup broth for their pho noodle soup is absolutely spectacular. I can't even compare it to other places. The establishment is in a quiet section of town with plenty of free parking. The owner is very charismatic and will often aid customers with seasoning and other how-to's. I once did a take out and he even advised me on how to heat things up to optimize the taste. The restaurant has two floors with the upstairs being roomier and quieter. It comes with pan fried dumplings (crispy and delicious); summer rolls w/ peanut sauce (also yummy); spring rolls on a bed of seasons veggies and lettuce (so good!) and then I got mine with grilled pork with vermicelli. Just loved the fried shallots and chopped scallions sprinkled generously on top! Came with a generous portion of more lettuce, fresh veggies and herbs so you can place some of the vermicelli and meat on your lettuce leaf, top with the veggies, dip in their fish sauce and voila....heaven! We enjoyed our meal here. We've been traveling to S. Plainfield for our Pho, so it is great to have a local more convenient option. Comparing to other Vietnamese places that we have visited in Nj, the food quality here does seem a little better, the restaurant is nicer (less hole in the wall), and prices a little higher (but not unreasonable). We did have to park a few min away as most of the spots right outside were taken by parents of the adjoining Acting Out camping. The guy working there (possibly owner) was very friendly and helpful with explanations/ suggestions. I think this is a good spot for someone who is new to Vietnamese cuisine for that reason. I had the lemongrass noodle soup dish which I really enjoyed. It's a little smaller than other places, but was enough. My hubby got the pork on Vietnamese fried rice which he really enjoyed (the rice is garlicky/ buttery/ spicy), which was really good. Don't think its very authentic, but it did taste good. A nice find in Westfield for some Vietnamese food. Stopped in on our way from Garwood wanting something warm on a cold Friday night. It's a small place and we got a nice table for four. We ordered the summer roll, 2 special phos, and a bbq pork vermicelli. Also got a taro bubble tea. The pho soup is a bit sweeter for me, but after putting in some lime juice, it balanced out. The broth is teeming with spices, subtle and not overpowering. My daughter prefers to eat the summer roll with fish sauce and they provide it (not full strength) at the table (win) and can be used with the vermicelli dish. The pork vermicelli was enjoyed. The meat in the pho was tender, good size and plentiful; they only have one size. The bubble tea was sweeter than expected and the boba is not tapioca but made with something else as the texture is different (not bad). Service was quick and pleasant. I love Vietnamese food, and as a long-time resident of the area, was dismayed years ago to see all three of the Vietnamese restaurants in nearby downtown Plainfield disappear. Instead, I used to go to Saigon in South Plainfield, but feel that one has declined. This new restaurant is tiny, so I imagine it's difficult to get a table when they are busy, but there's alway takeout. I've only been here once, but was sufficiently impressed to give it top marks. I had the basic beef phở soup, and it was very good. Portion size was generous. The broth was complex in flavor, there was a decent amount of tender beef, and the proper Thai basil and lime was used, not stupid cilantro and lemon that I've gotten elsewhere. We got the vBOX platter main, a dumpling soup app and a vermicelli soup main. We were blown away - everything came out screaming hot, excellent spices and good size portions.
