My friends wanted to get some pho in Westfield as we were all meeting up before walking at a nearby park. Staff: The staff here are friendly and nice. They are knowledgeable of their menu items and suggests items for first timers. Ambience: It is like a little house where you can go to enjoy food. It is not too noisy in here and the tables and seating are comfortable. We did not have to wait long to get seated. Special beef pho combo: The pho was cooked to perfection where it was not falling apart or overcooked. The beef and beef balls were cooked well along with the beef tripe. The soup base was well seasoned and did not need any extra sauces for this bowl of pho. Prices: The prices here are decent and not overpriced like some other Viet restaurants in New Jersey. Overall: My friends and I would most likely come back here in the future to try out other menu items. read more

So happy to have a good, solid Vietnamese restaurant around in the Westfield area. This spot is also opened by the same owners as Saigon Cafe in Millburn with the same menu of Vietnamese dishes and bubble tea. I didn't know that before coming, and I feel like if they marketed that more or kept the Saigon Cafe name, they might attract more customers who are familiar with the location in Millburn. Regardless, this was a nice spot to satisfy the Vietnamese craving. I tried both their bun (vermicelli dish) and banh mi, which both had deliciously grilled meats and were generously sized. read more

First time here and was a little underwhelming. I had their grilled pork with fried rice and their spring rolls. The fried rice was a little bland, grilled pork was great and nice that they gave two pieces. Spring rolls unfortunately fell short of expectations. The peanut sauce that accompanied it was good, but it was a bit too little for the quantity of spring rolls provided. read more

I came here with a group of friends and we shared some apps - fried spring rolls, banh mi and fried chicken. For myself, I got the pho and Vietnamese coffee - everything was delicious. The fried spring rolls were crispy and flavorful, the banh mi was pretty decent, the pho had a rich, comforting broth that didn't need much added to it, and the fried chicken was perfectly cooked and super satisfying. Vietnamese coffee was the perfect finish - strong, smooth, and just sweet enough. The space itself is a converted house that gives it a cozy, homey feel. It's relaxed and welcoming, with a mix of families, couples, and friends, making it great for both casual meals and low-key date nights. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu offers great variety, with options for different dietary needs, including vegan, gluten-free, and kid-friendly choices, which makes it even more appealing for groups. read more

I've been searching high and low for a good Pho spot. Nothing really came close until i found vPho. I ordered the special beef pho combo (i think that's the name) and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was so flavorful and together with the meat, It was love in my mouth. What a gem of a find. The service was prompt and speedy as well. Definitely will be my go to spot for Pho. The spot is cozy and on a one way with plenty of street parking (metered) , which is free after 6pm. I will be back here many times in the future read more

Literally a little hidden spot in Westfield. Slightly off the beaten path from downtown but worth the trek. Super yummy Vietnamese food at a good price. They seem to have a very robust delivery service with orders going out fast, so this would be a good takeout option as well. *Update - I thought seating was limited but turns out they have a whole second floor I haven't seen yet! I'll have to go back soon! read more

vPho in Westfield turned out to be a hidden gem, the kind of local spot you want to add to your regular rotation. We started with shrimp summer rolls, fresh and clean, then I ordered the pork bún with spring rolls while my soulmate went for the veggie and tofu phở. Everything was outstanding, from the flavor balance in the vermicelli to the depth of the broth, and even the little details, like the mint cucumber-infused water that came standard, were done with care. The staff were professional and friendly, adjusting their explanations to match the experience level of the diners. We appreciated how they gave us space to order confidently while also taking the time to walk the table next to us through their first try at Vietnamese food. It felt welcoming on both sides. The atmosphere was relaxed, with a mix of families and date-night couples. It worked perfectly for us on a quiet night out, but it's also a place we'd happily bring our kids. The flow of takeout and delivery pickups made it clear that this is a go-to for locals, and now that we've tried it in person, we'll be adding it to our delivery list too. I can already see their phở broth becoming a winter staple at home. Authentic, consistent, and warm, vPho delivers everything you'd want from a neighborhood spot. Highly recommended for both nights out and nights in, it deserves to be on your shortlist. read more

Lovely experience eating dinner with my friends here last weekend. We had beef pho, special beef pho and chicken noodle soup, along with beef buns as apps, and I also ordered Bahn Mi to go for my hubby left at home. Everything was very delicious, especially the broth! Parking around was a bit tricky (street parking). Service felt a bit disorganized at times (we had 3 different waiters, one of them potentially new and inexperienced),but that didn't sour our overall experience. read more

Pretty good. Parking outside is decent with free parking by the church, and meter parking right outside. Place smells like Pho, so I had to have one. Got Beef Pho and it was pretty darned good. I also got shrimp summer rolls and found them to be boring, full of lettuce and bean sprouts with a very small portion of shrimp, and a mediocre peanut sauce. I didn't detect any mint in them. The ones I make at home are at least twice as good. I have yet to try the Pork Bahn Mi but I can say that the server was nice and spoke Spanish and English. It took a very long time till she was ready to take our order, and was a little confused about what we wanted (she was doing everything by memory), but all is well that ends well. The bathroom was pretty clean but I didn't find any real paper towels or hand dryer. Kind of annoying, but at least there's hot water running thru the sink faucet! read more

A perfect rainy day find!! There is so much to love about this small little Vietnamese restaurant off the beaten path in Westfield. From the amble parking spots right outside their door (it is metered) to the beautiful plants both inside and outside, I was hooked before I even ordered my pho. I met my mom here for a little lunch and knew before I even took a look at the menu I was craving a bowl of hot pho. It was one of those rainy, dreary days that NJ seems to be plagued with recently. The team was so friendly and helpful. I ordered the beef pho and we shared the summer rolls to start. The summer rolls were fresh, filled with crisp veggies and meaty shrimp and the peanut sauce on the side was delicious. My beef pho might have been one of my favorites I've had in awhile. From first slurp I knew we found a gem. The broth was so flavorful and the meat was perfectly cooked. They have a few tables and I am sure would move them around to accommodate larger groups. We called beforehand to make sure they had space, but I believe they take reservations as well. Cannot wait to return the next time the pho craving hits. read more

My husband is Vietnamese, so I have had some amazing Vietnamese food in my life, whether cooked by his parents (his mom is a chef) or from restaurants he recommends. Because of this, I have become a bit of a Vietnamese food snob, and had high expectations for vPho. We ordered the beef pho with brisket, and the Box Platter Special with vermicelli and grilled pork. I always judge pho by the complexity of the broth, and this broth did not hit the spot for me. I didn't have that thick, rich, silky texture that I have come to love from pho. The broth was also too sweet for me and it didn't taste like the spices had been left to marinate in the rest of the broth for long enough. I also love when pho comes with lots of herbs and would've liked if this was packed with more. The pork over vermicelli was decent, and I loved how the box came with fresh rolls, spring rolls, and dumplings (Even though the dumplings and spring rolls seemed frozen). Overall, we did not dine in so I cannot speak to the ambiance of the restaurant, but our order was fulfilled promptly by the staff, without any hiccups. read more

I really wanted to love it. I wish the tofu was cooked (baked, dry pan fried, etc.) and the elements of our dishes didn't mesh so well together. However only docking a star because it looked/tasted super fresh, a solid serving, and perhaps it was just my taste. read more

We were excited to stop by for dinner once we saw this location was opening being the Sister restaurant of Saigon Cafe which we love. It has a very similar feel as that location. As we entered we were immediately greeted and seated at a table for two. We were served some refreshing fruit flavored water while we perused the menu that just happens to be exactly the same as Saigons so it didn't take long to decide. My husband ordered the Grilled Pork Pao to start and the Special Beef Pho Combo. I ordered the Grilled Pork VBox Special. Now we have ordered these items at the other location so we were looking forward to see how they compared. After a brief wait the Pao arrived. I selected one and dipped it in the sauce and took a bite and it was great. I let my hubby finish it because his was already gone... Next they delivered my VBox It looked so nice I didn't want to touch it. Everything was arranged so perfectly. Then they brought my husbands Pho, obviously it's not served like the picture but he needs to add everything under the sun to it to make it super hot, I couldn't even taste it. My food was great, each item was delicious! The spring rolls crisp and tasty, The summer rolls had nice fresh shrimp, The dumplings had a great tasting filling, and the grilled pork was so flavorful. I just loved everything. As far as my husbands Pho he loved it as usual. He said the broth is the best he's tasted. His bowl was empty before I barely ate anything so of course he assisted me with mine. Also the owners were so very friendly, I got some much needed advice on my Summer roll making which I greatly appreciated. We look forward to many returns as this location is actually closer to us then Millburn. So as you can tell I highly recommend you pay a visit to VPho read more

I've ordered out from vPho numerous times and the food is always wonderful. It's so refreshing to have a Vietnamese restaurant in Westfield. Their takeout is always wonderfully packaged, organized, and arrives hot. Their fresh rolls and banh mis are very good. Their pho is good - though I find the broth a bit overly perfumey in taste. They have a sister restaurant in Millburn that's equally as good. read more

Wow! What a great find on a side street away from the hustle and bustle of Westfield. I had made a reservation for my brunch group and wasn't sure of the accommodations. I didn't realize that hey had an upstairs. It was perfect. There were 8 of us and we were the only ones up there. It was so nice. We were not forgotten about being up there and the service was great. The gentleman that took our order was so helpful in describing the menu and very helpful. A few of us ordered the VBoxes while others ordered a soup of some sort. I ordered the spicy lemongrass soup with shrimp and it was quite tasty. I added some Sriracha to add some more spice. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were very pleased with my decision of the place for brunch. I'll definitely be back soon and this time I'll try a VBox. They looked really good. read more

I really liked this place. It's definitely a nice addition to the Westfield community. The staff were nice and the trust Aunty itself is super cute and cozy. As far as the food, the broth for the beef pho was delicious. I did wish there was more meat though. That was a bit disappointing for the price compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've eaten. The spicy honey wings were packed with flavor and the grilled pork buns were the perfect size for an appetizer. All and all, I would love to come back. I just have to be prepared to not have a lot of meat in the pho, which again, for the price point, was a little disappointing. read more

Very homey and cute spot. The food is good and the waiters guide you in choosing a good option for you if you are new to Vietnamese food. Unfortunately the peanut sauce is not good. But the rest of the meals are really delicious. Will definitely be coming back. read more

We enjoyed our meal here. We've been traveling to S. Plainfield for our Pho, so it is great to have a local more convenient option. Comparing to other Vietnamese places that we have visited in Nj, the food quality here does seem a little better, the restaurant is nicer (less hole in the wall), and prices a little higher (but not unreasonable). We did have to park a few min away as most of the spots right outside were taken by parents of the adjoining Acting Out camping. The guy working there (possibly owner) was very friendly and helpful with explanations/ suggestions. I think this is a good spot for someone who is new to Vietnamese cuisine for that reason. I had the lemongrass noodle soup dish which I really enjoyed. It's a little smaller than other places, but was enough. My hubby got the pork on Vietnamese fried rice which he really enjoyed (the rice is garlicky/ buttery/ spicy), which was really good. Don't think its very authentic, but it did taste good. They also have a kids meal, which was perfect size for my 8year old. read more

My go-to spot whenever I'm feeling under the weather. I swear their beef pho has me feeling cured by the next day.

I have been to numerous Vietnamese restaurants before but this one is my favorite. The soup broth for their pho noodle soup is absolutely spectacular. I can't even compare it to other places. The establishment is in a quiet section of town with plenty of free parking. The owner is very charismatic and will often aid customers with seasoning and other how-to's. I once did a take out and he even advised me on how to heat things up to optimize the taste. The restaurant has two floors with the upstairs being roomier and quieter. They even have a private room for larger parties. During warmer weather, they have outdoor seating as well. Overall, I truly love this place and have visited several times already. read more

Wow, this was a great find in Westfield. We ordered the VBox Platter special and enjoyed every bite. It comes with pan fried dumplings (crispy and delicious); summer rolls w/ peanut sauce (also yummy); spring rolls on a bed of seasons veggies and lettuce (so good!) and then I got mine with grilled pork with vermicelli. Just loved the fried shallots and chopped scallions sprinkled generously on top! Came with a generous portion of more lettuce, fresh veggies and herbs so you can place some of the vermicelli and meat on your lettuce leaf, top with the veggies, dip in their fish sauce and voila....heaven! We'll be back! read more

A nice find in Westfield for some Vietnamese food. Stopped in on our way from Garwood wanting something warm on a cold Friday night. It's a small place and we got a nice table for four. We ordered the summer roll, 2 special phos, and a bbq pork vermicelli. Also got a taro bubble tea. The pho soup is a bit sweeter for me, but after putting in some lime juice, it balanced out. The broth is teeming with spices, subtle and not overpowering. My daughter prefers to eat the summer roll with fish sauce and they provide it (not full strength) at the table (win) and can be used with the vermicelli dish. The pork vermicelli was enjoyed. The meat in the pho was tender, good size and plentiful; they only have one size. The bubble tea was sweeter than expected and the boba is not tapioca but made with something else as the texture is different (not bad). Service was quick and pleasant. I will come back and try other dishes. read more

I love Vietnamese food, and as a long-time resident of the area, was dismayed years ago to see all three of the Vietnamese restaurants in nearby downtown Plainfield disappear. Instead, I used to go to Saigon in South Plainfield, but feel that one has declined. This new restaurant is tiny, so I imagine it's difficult to get a table when they are busy, but there's alway takeout. I've only been here once, but was sufficiently impressed to give it top marks. I had the basic beef phở soup, and it was very good. Portion size was generous. The broth was complex in flavor, there was a decent amount of tender beef, and the proper Thai basil and lime was used, not stupid cilantro and lemon that I've gotten elsewhere. I look forward to coming back here. Edit: I did not realize there was additional seating upstairs and on the patio out back. Makes sense, this used to be a residential Westfield home. read more

We came here on Father's Day for dinner. We were able to walk in and the restaurant was moderately full. We ordered dumpling, pho and a sandwich. The sandwich was great but came out before the appetizer and 20 minutes before the pho. I had long finished my meal before my husband had even received his. We asked multiple times where the second entre was and as we were about to leave it came out. I might order from here again just for the sandwich but it would be take out. The pork banh mi sandwich here might be the best sandwich I've ever had... period. The bread is so good and all the flavors in the sandwich are just exceptional. But beyond that, everything else we've tasted here: spring rolls, beef pho, chicken pho, steamed chicken dumplings are all first rate. The owner is very friendly and accommodating... when one of my party wanted to order more food but didn't want a full portion, he offered for her to order a children's order. The ambience is very warm and cozy. My son said he thought it might be the best restaurant he's eaten at in the United States. I highly recommend you try V Pho. You will not be sorry. read more

I had an amazing experience dining here tonight. My boyfriend & I wanted to explore Vietnamese cuisine. I'm vegan & loved that they had multiple options for me. We ordered steamed vegetable dumplings to start. Fresh ingredients and the perfect starter to a great meal. The Thai milk tea was outstanding. Not too sweet yet creamy and addictive. The staff directed me towards the lemongrass pho with vegetables and tofu. It was out of this world! The lemongrass flavor was rich and comforting. My boyfriend ordered the Bánh mì. It was sweet and savory - the perfect balance. The baguette was fresh and the meat was very seasoned and well cooked. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Andy. You can tell he's passionate about his restaurant and customers. I said I added too much chili oil to my broth (rookie mistake - it's very spicy!) and he was kind enough to add more broth to my leftovers to lessen the heat. He was accommodating, friendly and kind. We can't wait to explore the whole menu. Highly recommended! read more

Rather than spending $225+ for two having a very expensive dinner at the usual 3-4 Westfield haunts, we went to vPHO on Westfield Ave. The vibe walking in was a bit sterile and plain - folks very busy with to-go orders but staff very welcoming. We got the vBOX platter main, a dumpling soup app and a vermicelli soup main. We were blown away - everything came out screaming hot, excellent spices and good size portions. This place is a find if just looking to go out for an hour and have a reasonably priced dinner. Every item was a 10 and definitely going back and bringing friends. Did not go to 2nd floor and hoping it's a little more interesting a vibe for a bigger group - all-in with tip was ~ $62. Outstanding value proposition - especially when just bringing a $20 bottle of wine or home made cocktails. read more
