Pretty cool family own spot to satisfy noodles cravings.

They have a good variety of oils, sauces and vegetables for you to build your noodles plate. This is a family own business, not too big but very cozy for friends gathering or just to grab a quick bite.

Always the best! Food is reasonably priced. Dine In is all you can eat. The rice dumplings are everything. Friendly staff.

This is the best spot for ramen noodles and Mongolia- style buffet. The dumplings are worth going back to Magic Grill time and time again. You can fill your bowl with as much noodles and meat/veggies as you want when you go to the buffet station. The service is good, they will take your order in the beginning if you want any soup or dumplings, or drinks and then leave you to do the buffet. The place is a bit outdated, but the food is so worth it. Make sure to get the dumplings!!

This is basically build your own stir fry noodle spot. It's a cool concept. It's a small family owned spot, not your instagram hot spot but i truly enjoyed the food here. I just wish i came a bit more hungry since it is all you can eat at a very reasonable price of 19.99. The staff was super friendly and explained everything to us in great detail. I think it's definitely a better for takeout than eating in but overall enjoyed the experience !

Went on Sunday, it was decently busy (filled about 40% of capacity). Quaint Mongolian grill, choices not as expansive as other grills have gone to. -Proteins: chicken, pork, beef. On the plus side, the meats are frozen and lean so makes me feel better that they are not sitting at room temp. On the downside, very limited seafood, only shrimp and scallops, charged at an extra $5 per serving! and only comes with 2 shrimp and 2 medium sized scallops- once I realized that charge was per serving, I didn't get it again. Also, sauces seemed less salty than other places which was appreciated in one sense but also then resulted in a rather bland dish so we had to add soy sauce- I guess better than the alternative of too salty? overall, okay. But seeing as that I mostly like seafood and their servings of seafood are small and expensive, we do not see ourselves returning.

Went to this spot on a Friday evening and it wasn't too busy so that was a plus. It's literally a mom & pop Mongolian grill gem. I've been trying to find a similar place like the one we had in New Brunswick in the early 2000's, so this place was pretty good! They have a array of sliced frozen meats and freshly prepped veggies and a nice selection of sauce bases. The food was great and made to order based on what you select, so you seriously can't go wrong. There is the mom there who lovingly serves you the standard menu items, dumplings, drinks and soups. Dad on the other hand is cheffing it up on his round grill! The ambiance is no frills but clean. Not much to write about that. Service was overall very friendly and pleasant. Overall I highly recommend dining in rather than take out. There's nothing like having a freshly grilled plate from them!

Old oil. Foods gross. Restaurant is gross. Not sure why this place is so hyped because it's not that cheap either.

The fried rice had no salt and needed soy sauce. My wife also noted there was a faint vinegar smell. I saw a few charred bits in the rice which we found odd. Veggies in brown rice were a hit, crisp fresh veggies with a great flavor profile on the brown sauce. Putting this on top of the rice balanced the lack of salt from the rice. Kung Pao tofu. Tofu was confirmed to be fried and tossed in the sauce so we were hoping for some crispness but were met with an overly chewy bite. They were generous with the peanuts- which I love. Also in the dish were chopped green beans. I asked for hot mustard on the side- and unfortunately this was so thinned out that I couldn't even get it to the plate without just dumping it. Flavor was severely diluted as well. Execution on most of the dishes had room for improvement but nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and generous portions.

Dim Sum II Chinese Restaurant is located in one of the main shopping areas of Cranford. With the…read more(apparent) loss of Avenue East, it is one of the few remaining Chinese style eateries in the area. I had not visited this place in ages. I was not avoiding it or anything, I just often passed it on the way to some other place, but recently I thought it would be a good idea to revisit this restaurant after 12(!) years of not having dined here. The first surprise was that this restaurant no longer has sit down service. It is take out out only now. I asked about this and was told that this is largely due to staffing issues. It is sad because the interior has a classic setting complete with some classic doors that have probably been there longer than I've been alive and diner style booths. It's a lovely space and having dined in it, I am sad people can no longer do so. That said, during both of my recent visits this restaurant has done some brisk take out business. Each time I went there were at least two other orders waiting for pick up and phone calls to put more in. I truly hope this is a good sign and points to this restaurant being around for a while. So what did I get? Here are some highlights: SHRIMP TOAST This is a classic Chinese take out dish that I used to have all the time when I lived in New York City. In the 90's I remember every Chinese take out style place had a version of it. However, over the years it has disappeared off most menus, so I was thrilled to see it here. Made of shrimp paste on bread and deep fried this appetizer was absolutely delicious. The bread is crisp while the shrimp paste has a meaty chew and the flavor is very savory. If you're a fan of this dish, this is a must get. STEAMED CHICKEN DUMPLINGS Very well seasoned meat inside a somewhat thick dumpling shell. You can have these steamed or fried. I went with steamed to be a bit healthier. They come with a nice dipping sauce making for a savory and chewy delight. CHICKEN CORN SOUP Sometimes you get soups like a chicken corn soup and you wonder where all the chicken and/or corn is. Not so with this one! Dim Sum II loads up their soup with plenty of corn and chicken and it is delicious. Great silky texture soup with enough corn and chicken to almost eat like a chowder. It's fantastic. BOK CHOI WITH BLACK MUSHROOMS This vegetable combination comes in a delicious brown sauce. The veggies are always nice and fresh and they use actual shiitake style black mushrooms that are substantial with a good bite. SINGAPORE STYLE CURRY NOODLES Rice noodles cooked in a wonderful curry sauce with a combination of meats including chicken and shrimp, this is a wonderful dish that you do not see that often outside of traditional Chinese restaurants. Often this dish does not have enough curry flavor or it lacks the proper amounts of shrimp or chicken. This version however strikes the right balance across the board. I've had spicier versions, sure, but overall this was very well done. I loved the food here and look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend it!
