This place is insanely good. It's so consistent. Family owned and run. I've been a regular for a few years now and they know me. I'll order a small whatever and I get a large. We've tried half the menu. Nothing is bad. The boneless ribs are chewy but flavorful. Sesame chicken and broccoli great. Sweet and sour chicken great. The Lo mein pork is great. Wife loves it. The lobster fried rice and pork fried rice great. Shrimp egg rolls scratch made. Crab Rangoons and the special sauce are so good. Cashew chicken and beef and broccoli are very good. The soups are amazing. Wonton is loaded with the main course. Egg drop is fantastic. Scallops are fresh. Pancakes are super flavorful and not overcooked. Beef skewers are good and the best thing all the food is very well priced. Best Chinese in the area by 40 miles and they are ALWAYS open. I picked up on Christmas Day! We've been coming here for over 15 years. A family run business that has its game in order. Great tasting Chinese-American food that is prepared with quality ingredients with speed and caring. Came by today for a lunch special of shrimp egg-foo young, wonton soup, roast pork lo-mein and a shrimp roll. I was in the mood for some steamed dumplings and though I've had them here in the past these were 100% better than before. Yes, a bit smaller but tastier filling and most importantly the dough/wrapping is now thinner which is a great improvement over steamed dumplings I've had here in the past. Highly recommended. We usually go to Cranford for Chinese but this place is so close to my house I decided to chance it. So glad we did. Mini me had beef and broccoli combo platter and I had sweet n sour chicken combo platter. Ordered over the phone and picked up in person ( with mask on of course). The lady was very nice, and even gave me extra duck sauce. When I got home I was pleased to see they included a free order of crab rangoon! Score! Portion was huge, food was piping hot and delicious. My daughters beef n broccoli had a generous amount of beef and my sweet n sour chicken was huge. Prices couldn't be beat. Under $20 and enough for food tomorrow. This is now our go to Chinese Place. Hands down the best Chinese takeout spot in the area. Never had a bad meal, always very tasty at affordable prices.

So we have tried every Chinese Restaurant in town and Peeking Garden is easily our favorite. The dumplings are delicious and the fillings is very good. I don't think they make them but they are very tasty. Some of the other places in town we have tried they aren't as good. The wonton soup is also very good. We love the broth as it's silky and always piping hot! The wontons have a great flavor. The fried rice is well made and seasoned and loaded with roasted pork. The chicken chow fun was delicious. It was well seasoned and a very good sized portion. We have not been disappointed any time we have ordered. The staff is very friendly and the food is always ready quickly! read more

General Tso chicken was over cooked so that the chicken was dry and getting chewy. The wontons had very little cream cheese stuff inside. What was there had little flavor. Even the fortune cookies were tasteless. Very disappointed because there were so many good reviews. read more

There are about 3 chinese takeout restaurants here in the town of westfield. I have been coming to this one for years and never had a problem. All 3 places the menus and prices are about the same and same goes for prices. I have probably ordered chicken broccoli here several hundred times. Never once an issue. So so food , I got a free order of Crab Rangoon , so there's that , but the Shrimp with Lobster sauce lacked one thing, flavor. The Cold Noodles were cold so they got that right and chicken fried rice contained generous bits of real chicken . I don't think I'll go back there again read more

My nanny started to order from this place. The food was good but I realize when you safe their food in fridge the rice become very hard that even with reheat is not edible. I still went as food was good when first came.. However 4/23/14 I order food for me and my 4yr daughter when thank god it was me that found 2 piece if broken plastic/glass look (blue in color) in 2 different dish!! One is the cheese dumpling and one in their mei fun. I will not complain but not risking buying from here anymore and therefore give 2 ratings.. I'm not sure how most other reviewers say it is horrid. I LOVE the pork fried rice and the steamed dumplings.

Standard Chinese take-out (only) and the portions are huge. Service is friendly and quick.

I ordered from them today and here is my review. I ordered chicken wings and fried rice, and I must say I was severed old food. My food was cold. The chicken wings had blood dripping out of it and the rice wasn't completely cooked. I will go to Shogun from now on, because I don't like spending money on disgusting food. read more
