This was like going to a Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast cooking Chinese food. The Orange Chicken was just tasteless, with gloppy coated chicken. The pan fried dumplings were both burnt and cold. I don't know how that happens, but once again tasteless...like they were sitting around. Nothing fresh happening in that dumpling. The spare rib tips were lame as well. Never disappoints! The chicken and broccoli with added string beans and snow peas is cooked perfectly and the sauce is not thick and clumpy. After moving out of delivery range from two of our previous favorite places & having a local place get much worse & the other closing down I researched other places & found mostly vg reviews so on my way home from work grabbed a menu & confirmed they delivered to my location & this weekend place a delivery order. Delivery person's English wasn't the best so instead of trying to explain how to get from the entrance of my bldg to my apt I met him at the entrance(others in the past have gotten lost even though there is ample signage) so worth the extra two mins to go to him rather than adding him on the list of lost delivery persons. In no particular order I'll rate each item. Egg drop soup--plenty of egg, good consistency a bit light tasting--4 Spring rolls fresh pretty good taste--4 House Special Mai Fun. Good assortment of meats, veggies & taste--5 Sesame chicken---3 pcs of broccoli, container packed tight but like most places at least 1/2 chicken was dry/stringy(had to use floss). most likely not prepared that day so the chicken dries out as the sauce cannot penetrate the thick breading which at least that part tasted good--2 Fried dumplings--perfectly cooked on BOTH sides as requested, plenty of filling, very tasty & good sauce--5 Vegetable chow mein--very fresh, tasty, veggies soft as they should be--5 Fried wontons(meat). 2 different ways places make then these were thick soft breading--good filling, fresh & sweet/sour sauce perfect complement--5 Pork fried rice---very fresh but minimal amount of pork & misc veggies(maybe because it was the free item?)--3 Fried scallops--very fresh, crispy, tasty, as good as any seafood restaurant--5 Total with tax/dip/delivery(FYI they charge $1) it came to $55 which for us was 3 meals so very reasonable Food averages to 4.2 Service 5 Value 5 So my 3 ratings average out to 4.7 which I'll round to 5 read more

VERY disappoint in this location. I have eaten and had delivery from here several times. Today I ordered for delivery. They called back to say because I live 2.6 miles away that the minimum is $20. Then they called back to say the minimum is $12 then called back again to say no that was wrong it is $20. If felt as if they didn't want to be bothered with delivering to our location. I can recommend this classic Chinese take-out place. No MSG is a plus, and the food was overall quite good and flavorful. My family wolfed it down in seconds. Hop Hing has a good setup for contact-less pickup, just be aware that they will need to take your credit card at the pass-through window if that's how you're paying and you'll need to sign the charge slip, so plan accordingly (bring your own pen or use gloves). Service was very fast, ready in less than 20 min for three entrees and extras. Good communication for pickup, plenty of off-street parking and space to stand and wait if needed keeping social distance. Sesame chicken was very tasty with just enough sauce (if you like it more saucy maybe ask for extra); Chow Mei Fun w/chicken was excellent, light and very flavorful with steamed rice noodles that are probably gluten free; the "Three Flavor" Szechuan dish was also very well made with a generous amount of sizable shrimp, beef and chicken and plenty of veggies crammed into the container; steamed veggie dumplings were good and dipping sauce had good flavor, almost aromatic; hot & sour soup was good with a nice white-peppery flavor. This food is not good. I was expecting some amazing delivery based on these reviews and that was not the case. The spring rolls have shrimp in them (probably should be noted on the menu, as many don't and plenty of people have shellfish allergies). Our crab rangoon came without sauce and the entrees were tasteless and soggy. Also, they wrote down our credit card information on our menu, including the security code and expiration. Found my new chinese spot I been looking for something to replace the spot I used to order from because they don't deliver to my area I moved. I can get hop hing delivered through door dash which works for me their stuff is tasty and they follow food instructions will be repeat customers I'm only bummed out I didn't order more food lol but next time the steamed dumpling are everything and they give you 8 instead of 5 like most places I didn't need to ask for extra sauce. Delivery wasn't too slow it's a couple towns over from me but I can still get there if I don't wanna pay for delivery.
