We asked a family that was there waiting for their food and when my wife asked them if the food was good the facial expression they gave us was priceless. Highly highly recommend! These guys are quite possibly the best chinese takeout in the area. No matter how busy or slow, day of the week or how close you call to closing, they will always deliver and always arrives promptly and HOT! This is very important for a chinese takeout business, considering that 9/10 of them have absolutely no customer service, phoenix kitchen does. As for the food, they are your typical chinese takeout place. As we have seen similar menus to dozens almost identical businesses. Their food i would say is typical to above average local chinese takeout. They have not messed up any traditional dishes yet, so i am happy. After dealing with many many businesses that just want your money and dont appreciate you as a customer, i will only have this business fulfill my chinese cravings. I wonder why there is only 1 other review. Phoenix makes great Chinese meals and the staff is friendly and the one woman remembers what you like if you go there regularly. I recommend that you give them a try the next time you want Chinese food. There is parking in the back of the strip mall with a rear entrance for pick-ups. read more

On the hunt for a new Chinese food spot we ordered takeout here. The place is small and the food was okay. Nothing really tasted great, but it wasn't bad. Not a place you get excited to order from. They have all the main classics but I guess if you are looking for some standard takeout and this is nearby, the prices aren't terrible. read more

Amending my review because after first trying their food , the quality declined. It was as if as they got to know me they got lazy. Quantity of vegetables decreased and I noticed they started skimping on mushrooms and other fresh vegetables. Instead of fresh you now get canned peas and carrot slices lomein or MeiFun. In addition, their delivery service repeatedly refused to come up to our apartment and claims our doorbell is broken. It's not. Delivery person called me on the phone demanding I come downstairs and I could literally hear him pound on the keypad in the entryway. After all his yelling through the intercom my phone rang and the woman who takes orders at the restaurant (who used to be pleasant) yelled and rudely insisted I go downstairs to pick up my food bc my door bell was broken. I told her no, it was not broken; please tell your driver to use the keypad and I would let him upstairs. (Mind you, this is the third time one of their drivers can't come upstairs). PAUSE.. five minutes.... Theres a knock at my door. I open the door to be greeted by an angry delivery person who proceeds to carry on loudly (it's 10:30P) about the door being broken. I tell him to lower his voice and he curses at me in the hallway. I ask him to leave and he raises his hand at me and I literally had to step outside my apartment and tell him to exit or I would phone police. He cursed all the way down the hallway and probably woke or disturbed other people who live here. Never again will I order from this establishment. I don't hand out bad reviews but I am not tolerating harassment over some sautéed broccoli and Pad Thai. I'd rather starve. Fresh crisp vegetables, eggrolls that were crisp no doughy - actual large pieces of shrimp in the egg roll. Came back tonight , two weeks later and ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan and Veggie Mei Fun and both had fresh vegetables very good. A little bit salty- however that is pretty standard for any restaurant. Solid mostly takeout and delivery place run by very nice people. Online ordering reduces the chance of errors and the woman handling phone orders is careful. Many soup + entree lunch specials are under $6. Very extensive menu. Not the most exotic flavors, but did not taste oily and vegetables were crisp. read more

Food is good for I have gone to many places in a 5 mile radius always trying to find good chinese takeout. It always seems one chinese place makes something better than the other. All around the food is worth it for pick up or delivery for your chinese night. Always hot and delivered within 45 minutes and pick up is about 20 solid minutes which is ok. I recently moved to Cranford and we're currently without a kitchen. Hence the need for some cheap and good lunches and Phoenix definitely delivers. Their lunch specials come with soup or egg roll, as well as rice. The portions are generous and the food is good. It's not greasy and the vegetables and meat are fresh. I recommend getting the hot and sour soup. It's probably the best I've ever had. Also, the service there is very friendly and they get your order right, always a plus. read more

We love this place. Cindy and her husband are great. We eat here quit a bit and although it has appeared a little dingy, they are fixing the place up to look nice and to accomodate more eat-in customers. They make a lot of dishes that are not on the menu and can do lots of great things with Tofu. It's definately worth a try! read more

Not very happy with my meal . I ordered online when I got there some 20 minutes later it hadn't been started . First time costumer and I didn't pay in advance so I can't say I blame them . CLEANLINESS was about average for a to go nothing terrible but clean freaks might cringe at the dusty vents or soda cases in the main order and eating area. Now onto my meal, I ordered Orange beer and an egg roll both were standard poor quality . I think the breaded beef the serve at most if not all small Chinese places are bought from the same distributer append is mostly fat . So for that reason is why I rated it low. read more

Was told 35-50 mins for delivery. Called after an hour, was told it would be 5 mins it was on it's way. Called back 10 mins later, they said 5 mins again. After the third call an hour and a half later the food STILL hadn't even left yet. They were rude about it and wouldn't even discount the food. Ended up having to cancel the order.
