The girl serving tonight was very rude to my sister. The people waiting in line in front of my sister were asked if they wanted to wait for the beef and broccoli to be cooked which she said to them would take about 7 minutes , when my sister next in line asked again for clarity how long it would take for beef and broccoli she was rude and said she doesn't know , that they close in 10 minutes when in reality it was 9:10pm and they close at 10pm. I'll admit it, when I see chains like Panda Express I tend to write them off. Previous to this visit, my previous memory of Panda Express was a visit some time about...maybe ten years ago in Manhattan. I remembered the food being okay, but not worth what I was charged at the time. Recently while shopping near this branch, I had to admit it was a really snazzy looking building. Most of this shopping center is either newly built or renovated, and I was impressed that Panda Express would even rent out a space here. In the era of lockdowns, there is no seating inside for customers at this time, so it is basically a take-out joint. I found the inside modern, clean and welcoming. Even cooler, the various dishes in the "steam table" setting behind the counter were actually in woks, which I appreciated from a presentation standpoint. The staff was very nice (and busy!) so I wound up ordering a meal with some vegetables and entree dishes. Here's what I tried: Walnut Shrimp: This dish is served in more traditional restaurants in Chinatown. This is a smaller version (smaller shrimp, smaller vegetables) but the flavor is very similar. It is not 100% what you'd get in Chinatown, but for fast food? It's good! Mixed Greens: This may be a seasonal dish so I cannot guarantee it will be there when you go. This dish consisted of sauteed greens including (much to my surprise) kale! Now, cooked kale can be great or terrible, but Panda Express managed to do it just right. It was both tender and delicious. Sweetfire Chicken Breast: This sounds like it would be spicy, and there is a bit of a kick but it's not overwhelming. I loved the flavor of this and would absolutely get it again. I have to admit to still being surprised weeks later just how much I enjoyed the food at Panda Express, but somewhere in the last decade they've really stepped up their game. Got here for late lunch, today. My first time here. I ordered Chow Mein, Beef with Broccoli and General Tso's Chicken. Also, Fried Rice, Orange Beef and Vegetable Eggroll. The Chow Mein taste good, even it only has noodles and sautéed onions. The beef with broccoli is delicious and so as the egg roll, although a little bit burnt. My wife's fried rice has a lot of ingredients and the rice was freshly fried, it's delicious. The orange beef is well marinated, thinly sliced and marinated well. The fried veggie egg roll is not greasy, fried well but tasted bland, maybe you need to dip in to sweet n sour sauce to have taste? The food and their menu have changed, since five years ago. Now the taste is better and well afforded. Place is clean and serving staff are courteous and helpful. Their Assistant Manager, Tyrone is very professional and helpful. Had placed an order online for my food. Went to pick it up on my lunch break and of course I get there in hopes that it would be ready. It was not. For people that do work this is not great customer services for people who have to wait over 20 minutes for their meal. This Panda Express was never like this back then. It's a shame it's lacking good service. I must say though the women at the register was kind to me. Despite the fact that they must of been under staffed. Sounds like management problem to me. Walked over to Panda for lunch after a bad experience at Blaze Pizza. What a difference! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a "welcome to Panda", we were then offered samples. The food was presented well with lots of choices. I had the Honey walnut shrimp And Shanghai steak. Portions were adequate and food was hot and tasty. Here's the best part, the manager Jhon was actually tidying up the dining area and stopped at our table to ask if we needed anything and if we enjoyed our meal! I love Panda Express and no they did not pay me to say that! This location is one of the better Panda Express location nearby where I live. The food is cooked just right. Veggies are not too hard or soggy. Rice isn't dry. Tables and restroom are clean. The service is friendly. They will ask if you want to sample anything before ordering. I can't help myself but wanting to sample just about everything! All of their chicken pork and beef dishes are delicious. My only problem is to narrow down what to order. This place is located in the center strip mall area so there's plenty of parking and shopping afterwards to do. I will definitely come back here often. read more

Love going to panda express, its my favorite fast causal Chinese food spot. This location is near a shopping near Michael's, Modell's, and other eateries. There is always parking available and they have the typical Panda items on the menu. The place is very modern and updated and they have a drink refill station like most locations. The servers usually ask you to sample any items before you commit on getting anything. I usually go with the half and half with rice and chow mein with orange chicken and mixed veggies. I do wish they have a loyalty card so you get a free meal after 5 meals purchased or something. Thanks to the incompetent, ignorant, screw-up at Panera Bread, we decided to dine here for lunch instead. The first time we've had Panda Express was back in 2013 at Las Vegas. We enjoyed dining there. Then we patronized the Union, NJ location, which was just as good. Finally, we came here, and we consider this as the closest location to my area. When we walked in, we were greeted by someone in the ordering area. She explained what was new and offered samples for any item that we were curious about before ordering. Since the Honey Sesame Chicken Breast was their newest entree, I asked for a sample. It was really good! We all chose the "Any 1 Side & 2 Entrees" plate combo with a small soda from the fountain to accompany that meal. Since I liked my sample, I ordered that along with the Spicy Orange Chicken and Chow Mein. My parents ordered the similar items as well. Just keep in mind that premium entrees, including the Angus Beef, will cost an additional amount to the cost of the combo. The Honey Sesame Chicken Breast was white chicken cooked with honey sesame sauce, and topped off with toasted sesame seeds. The flavor wasn't too sweet, and the sesame seeds added a crunchy sensation to the chicken. Because fresh vegetables (with the honey sesame sauce mixed in) were included with this entree, there was no need for us to order additional veggies for the side. This was a great entree. Spicy Orange Chicken was boneless chicken pieces cooked with sweet and spicy orange sauce. The orange flavor was sweet with just the right amount of spices, and the chicken was tender. Chow Mein consisted of seasoned noodles with onions, celery and cabbage pieces. Everything tasted fresh. This location has a medium-sized seating area with a TV that broadcasted the news. They have a corner for those who want to drink Pepsi products or iced tea. Restrooms are located in the back. The area for ordering entrees and sides are in the front. The service was great. The whole entire area looked modern and clean. The restrooms were clean too. If we ever crave Panda Express again, we'll definitely be back! read more

I ordered thru Uber Eats twice. I thought the 1st horrible experience was a mistake because i go there often. However, the 2nd time, today, I am convinced this and other Panda Express in Essex & Union county, NJ sells old food to deliveries. I DID NOT WANNA BELIEVE IT. I wrote Panda Express because on their site you can order but no where to complain. I had to google "complain about panda express" & i got a site. They have only sent me 1 coupon voucher instead of 2, altho 3 times they asked me for a copy of the receipt. i tried to use voucher today and it didnt work. So i spent $26 and food was nasty AGAIN. My suggestion: Just go there and get fresh food. Don't even order ahead of time in case you get the same crappy, old food. Or cancel Panda Express altogether. read more

Very disappointed. Food is ok and good when you want a quick Chinese meal. But the service is very disappointing. Went in there with at least 45 minutes until they close even though the sign on the door says it closes one hour and 15 minutes later. When I asked for a meal I was told we are closing so we will not make the meal you want. Only what is already made. Wow. All other restaurants in the area will make what you want right up to closing. But they refused to make any additional food with an hour remaining. Does not look like they are closing. More like a lazy employee did not want to have to do additional work to keep a customer satisfied. Go to Blaze Pizza, Smash Burger, Chipote or Panara Bread. I wasn't sure if this was a glitch or maybe they were out of that item for the day. So I called the store to see if they were out or if it had been a glitch if I could order over the phone. If not I completely understand. HOWEVER, I believe they were under the impression I was trying to get computer assistance if that was the case. Then they hung up the phone. So I tried to call back and they declined my calls. I was not looking for computer assistance. The food is decent, not too expensive. The place is clean, which is a plus. My largest complaint is they have no knives. I realize that Chinese food generally doesn't use knives because the food is supposed to be cut to bite size, but this food wasn't bit size. I had to use 2 forks to pull the chicken apart so I could eat it. The broccoli was too big to eat in one bite and I tried to bite it into pieces but gave up. read more
