Prior to ordering, I was given the option to sample some of their flavors. I ordered a small with two flavors: Banana Dulce de Leche and Espresso. The Banana Dulce de Leche was a pleasant surprise, with a good banana flavor that was unfortunately overpowered by the caramel. I also found the Dulce de Leche to be a bit icy, which didn't blend well. The Espresso was okay, but had only a light, aromatic coffee flavor. I thought it wasn't strong enough in my opinion. Overall, it's a nice spot for dessert after lunch or dinner, and the large seating area is a plus.

If you don't have it, take the sign down. The entire wall of the establishment has machines that don't clearly indicate if the content is frozen yogurt, soft serve ice cream, or gelato. The only thing they do tell you is which brand name they are using as the content, for example "Dole." The place is called FRO-YO, but half of their content was hard ice cream. A little on the pricier side but with inflation not really surprised. I paid cash, so I cannot speak to the credit card issues other people had mentioned. That I will definitely be coming back for are their other flavors of hard ice cream and Italian ice, they look really delicious. The other positive? Employees were super friendly and welcoming. And the interior, probably looks very similar to how it did when I was younger. Can't really say there are negatives that I experienced, and overall would come back again, however given other reviews regarding the credit card fee, will probably stick to paying cash in the future.

We get there, rap music blasting. It takes the worker about 2 minutes to come out, and when she does she just looks at us and says NOTHING. I literally had to greet her first and say hi, give us a second. She doesn't respond, just turns around and walks away. She comes back like 3 minutes later, no explanation of the menu, not asking us anything. I explain my order and she doesn't ask about toppings or anything. When I ask, she seems annoyed. The transaction is barely finished when a white family walks in, and without even handing me my spoon or napkin, she immediately turns away and greets them in this fake excited tone. Mind you, my friend next to me hasn't even ordered or paid yet. As my friend is paying, she is straight up ignoring her and having a whole conversation with the white family like we don't exist. The transaction isn't even over, and she doesn't say bye, doesn't say thank you, nothing. Just turns around like we're an inconvenience. Then the music suddenly changes to white pop music... like what is this??? I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life, and for it to happen at an ice cream shop in Union, NJ, at the hands of another woman of color is NASTY. And to make it worse, the ice cream wasn't even special. We were literally about to go to Carvel but decided to support a small business instead... and it was horrible. So disappointing.

There are only a few tables if you want to sit and eat. It seems to get crowded in waves, but the scooping is done quickly. Being that this summer has been absolutely sweltering this year, soft ice cream always seems to be my dessert of choice on those unbearably hot days. This place in the middle of Westfield is very clean on the inside, really nice and luckily on the day we visited, there was nobody inside so we were attended to immediately. They have multiple flavors of soft serve ice cream, At this visit we decided upon the monster cookies and chocolate soft swerve swirl. We thought about their other desserts, but ultimately decided against it but the mason jar sundae looked amazing. The ice cream itself, the chocolate was silky and smooth and absolutely as soft ice cream should be. The monster cookies tasted okay, but was a little gritty for soft serve. Maybe this flavor would work better with some of their other desserts, but as stand alone soft serve, it just was not it. I've had monster cookie adjacent ice creams usually as hard ice cream, and maybe it works better that way. I think warming it up would have enhanced both the flavor and texture of the cookies. I ordered a chocolate chip and Cookies 'n Cream cookie with s'mores ice cream.
