Delicious food and lovely people. Best Chinese take-out in town. I especially like the ribs and my son loves the dumplings.

I do like to come here with my family for dinner sometimes and order a few dishes to share, but…read morelunchtime is my favorite, since this restaurant serves dim sum during that specific time. The quality of the food is fine. The people working here are also friendly and quick. Sometimes when they get pretty busy with lots of other customers though, it's better to just ask them yourself about what you want (like water refills or other requests), rather than waiting for them to come straight to you. This restaurant also is pretty big. It has lots of seating inside.

We were at a lacrosse tournament in nearby Pingry school and did a yelp search for dim sum near me…read more Came across a restaurant that we first went to and was super crowded so looked also nearby and found this one and called and asked if they were a table for four and they said yes!. So we went across the highway 22 and the host however tried giving us a small booth and my mother Preferred sitting at a table, so not to be confined and feel claustrophobic. This was just about 12:30 PM on Sunday and there seem to be ample tables available, which worked for us! So they put us in a corner table however it felt more like being in Siberia because all the dim sum carts didn't quite reach or would notice us and we'd have to get up and walk over and guide them over to us or take a peek and say which dishes we preferred to have delivered over to our table. The staff were friendly if not. I'm not sure we would've stayed longer as the food was OK. I'd have to say these are some of the largest dumplings we've had in a restaurant like the shrimp har gow and shiu mai but the sizes of pieces could've been sliced more carefully and easier bite-size pieces such as the tripe and even the steamed black bean spare ribs. The fried tofu with the shrimp on top we believe was too much coating, and the filling itself was not light and fluffy. It was harder than you'd expect. The beef chow funk was on the oilier side, but the beef was very tender so at least my parents were happy to enjoy that, and as we asked for it to be in the dry style, this one was as I said, wet, and a little bit oily. The turnip cakes were looser and soft with a few of the turnip pieces present.. We prefer it to be crisper and have a little bit more structure. Our daughter's favorite are having the egg custard tarts, and she remarked that they tasted more like sweet egg than fully smooth custard unfortunately. They also charge for tea just as an FYI. We enjoyed being together and especially after a long morning of a tournament and ate really quickly. But not sure we would come back since we're hardly out this way. If you have kids, I think they'd enjoy seeing the Koi Pond out front. THere is a bar as well so maybe they have a good evening crowd..

We are still on the desperate hunt for chinese food spot with a solid veg fried rice and at least a…read moretofu dish or two. Tried this spot for lunch with the wife and saw a few vegetarian items to order with our veg fried rice. We had the condensed lunch menu so I had to ask if they could do a kung pao tofu. We were the only ones in the entire dining by room so both dishes arrived in about 10 minutes. The fried rice hit the spot. I look for the darker color rice rather than the oily fried white or yellow rice we have found at a lot of places. The Kung Pao was definitely double salted. I flagged the staff down and stated it seemed the kung pao was double salted but was told no it wasnt. I said no really its overly salty and he said thats the way kung pao comes. My wife stated it was inedible due to the amount of salt and that the rice was lovely. He took the plate and walked off. No apologies, no indication if they would recook it for us or offer of any other options. He simply disappeared into the kitchen for a while. I stood at the register to simply pay so we could leave. When he finally came to ring us up he did not charge us for the food we didn't eat which was fair. I just wish service was a bit better as we left still hungry and picked up a slice of pizza on the way home. Really odd and unfortunate experience- as the rice was good and had it not been for the salt, the kung pao had promise- though it lacked the peppers and peanuts I have been accustomed to.
