They do not take credit cards online when you order. Its ridiculous!!! I place an order online for delivery..but can't pay online!! When I called to make payment..They told me to pay driver upon delivery. They need to fast forward to 2025!! If I am ordering online for delivery, I want to be able to pay..that's the point. The food is good but the portion sizes have gotten really small. The staff is not friendly at all. Delivery took over an hour and when called about it got a nasty response. And they charge 3% fee on credit cards and don't say it or have a sign about it. Extremely disappointed. read more

I have been coming here for over 8 years. The food has always been consistently good. Staff isn't the friendliest but then again I'm just there to pick up food. What disappoints me is that I recently ordered a large chicken broccoli with garlic sauce and it came in the container pictured below. That is NOT a quart. I went back and told them that I had ordered a quart not this and she said that's their quarts now. Ummmm, what?!!! So now I feel ripped off because although I know the price of everything has gone up, Bamboo House expects me to pay more money for less food?? Not happening. I'll pay more $ for the same amount but don't rip your customers off!!! This Chinese Restaurant is Horrible!!! It has gone down in standard over the years! Yes they deliver yes they are in the neighborhood but the OWNER is a VERY BAD BUSINESS WOMAN! We ordered close to 70.00 worth of food today and asked that the General Cho' s chicken please be soft and mild. Its always a hit and miss with these people! Well today the chicken was as HARD AS A ROCK! I called and asked for a replacement and the owner told me that its my fault for ordering it that I had complained in the past about the hardness of the chicken! Well when you ask for soft and mild that's how you should get it and it was coming that way so I didn't see an issue! TODAY IT WAS AN ISSUE! I typically look up an item on google to get an idea of what a dish is before ordering since I'm somewhat picky. I ordered beef chow mein. Now every image I saw showed beef mixed with noodles, and is described on wiki as a fried egg noodle. The noodles I received are not what I expected from the images and descriptions of what chow mein is online. Now I had an incident like this happen at this same exact place and when I went explain it, the lady had somewhat of an attitude. It seems like prepare their noodle dishes their on way instead of what it should be. My only complaint is that they just didn't seem to care about my inquiry and dissatisfaction of what I had expected beef chow mein to be. read more

My favorite Chinese place. We've been going here for years. It's always made quickly and I've never had an issue with them.

I did not like the scallion pancake- too flakey, but my wife liked it. We agreed that the dumplings had too much wrapper to filling, but she liked the sweet dipping sauce and I hated it. My egg roll was just ok, well fried but didn't love the filling. Lo mein was ok, not great but not terrible. I really liked the general tsaos, but the breading on it was sweet- almost like a funnel cake. So strange. I thought wife's chicken with garlic sauce was also very sweet. The bbq ribs were the best thing we ordered. Big and meaty, well cooked and flavored, no scrappy bits- really good. The rest though, just not impressive enough to go back. read more

Visited this place for the first time today. I live in Los Angeles and was looking for some Chinese food by my relatives' house and found this place. Why it took 10 minutes to cook my food when I was the only one in the restaurant confounds me. But I waited. I got the chicken in orange sauce. The food was mediocre at best. The sauce was much to sweet and generic for my liking. The pork fried rice was absolutely flavorless and dry. I also had the hot and sour soup which was so-so, and the fried egg rolls which would have been good, except they were saturated with oil. I wanted to try the dumplings, but was scared to after what I had already eaten. The portions were large and the price was good for lunch. The fact that they cooked everything fresh in front of you was the only reason I gave them 3 stars. I was leaning towards a 2 star though. If only yelp would put half stars on here... Oh well. Save your money and try another Chinese restaurant. read more

This small Chinese food storefront restaurant cured our craving for Chinese food. We both got the lunch special which was plenty of food with a soup. We almost could have shared one order. We got the general tsos and orange chicken with pork fried rice. The rice was the disappointment here. It was flavorless yellow rice with very little pork. Just not what we are used to, as there is an amazing place in Clark where the fried rice is incredible. We'll be back if the craving strikes and we don't feel like picking up at our favorite place in Clark, which only does take-out orders. read more

This was not my first time at Bamboo house, my wife ordered shrimp with Peapods, large portion,good size shrimp, great taste. I wanted shrimp moo shu, it's not on the menu, but they make it for me anyway. Excellent. Our food was ready for pickup in 20 min. No mistakes, and everything was GREAT. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant!! Their food is absolutely delicious! We normally have the General Tso Chicken, Lo Mein, Chicken and Broccoli and Wonton Soup. I highly recommend that soup! I took off a star only because the prices are getting higher. I've also had their fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce, chicken wings and fries. Those are nothing to rave about but they're not bad at all. My wife's parents live in Colonia. This is the go to Chinese takeout spot. The food is consistent and the service is very friendly and quick. It is not the best Chinese food around but for take out and a GOOD meal you can't go wrong. We enjoy it very much. Can't beat the free soda's. read more

I LOVE BAMBOO HOUSE! I've lived in Colonia since I was little and this place has stood the test of time. I love love love love the food here and they seriously prepare it at the speed of lightning. At other places you may have to wait 15-20 minutes but Bamboo House gets it done in 10. Their shrimp and broccoli is DELICIOUS and I love their crab Rangoon as well. If you want good Chinese takeout quickly, come here. The other places around here can be pretty slow. read more

My new favorite Chinese spot! There food is fresh and delivery is fast. Delivery guy is young, very nice guy. The wonton soup is yummy & the steamed dumplings- OMG! The sauce is so good I always ask for extra. A friend of mine got the chicken & rice soup and said it's the best he ever had. I also get shrimp lomain which is yummy. I deducted one star because twice I ordered the shrimp lomain with no veggies and I got veggies which was frustrating. But other than that I like their food a lot! read more
