Loved the food and customer service. I've always driven past it but never decided to stop in but it was yummy. The broccoli in the beef and broccoli was crunchy and fresh which I loved. It also wasn't saturated in a ton of sauce which was nice because sometimes it can get greasy and saucy real fast lol. I will definitely be back to try again! read more

Best Chinese food in town. Our family has tried various other places not far from here, but this is hands down the best. Food is always fresh. I never receive stale or leftover rice. Service is fast and friendly and they have the best cheese wontons around. They have never gotten my order wrong and always deliver (or have food ready for pick up) exactly when they say they will. Asia garden is your standard American Chinese food experience. Open on virtually any day of the year, a gigantic menu with just about any American Chinese food item you can think of, and an incredibly short wait time on your food. I must've ordered from Asia Garden well over 50 times at this point. Their sesame chicken and their boneless spare ribs are fantastic. Often, I order for the entire extended family, which entails a gigantic order of almost $100, and they have the entire order ready for me in a manner of 20-25 minutes. They also have delivery, which is just as fast. I usually stick to my order of sesame or general tsos chicken, but each time I've tried something new, I haven't been disappointed. Their cheese wontons are another great item on the menu, along with their soups. It goes without saying that I will be ordering from them again. read more

GOT FOOD POISONING - DO NOT EAT HERE!!! My niece and nephew both got so sick within hours of eating the chicken lo mein. My niece couldn't stop vomiting and had to be admitted into the hospital. My son and I both had upset stomachs and distress from the other end. We ate various dishes as we were sharing. read more

This has been my go-to spot when craving Chinese food. It is always fresh, hot, seasoned well, and never greasy. Prices are very reasonable and service is excellent & friendly!! The store's location itself has plenty street parking and inside is very clean and simple. All extra condiments and cutlery are to one side so you take what you need! Some dishes are good and some are not so good. We ordered the egg foo young (solid), the veggie lo mein (good), and the chicken with broccoli (not so good). While the first two dishes were okay, the chicken with broccoli (I order it at almost every chinese restaurant I go to), the chicken was almost a rubbery/gummy texture that was kind of nauseating to eat. With that said, the lo mein was very flavorful and had quite a few vegetables in it. read more

Best Chinese food around town. I read everyone elses yelp review prior to ordering. At first, I called and they told me they don't deliver to Maplewood and I was a little disappointed. I decided to drive over and it was very much worth it. The chicken wings are delicious and fresh. The steamed pork dumplings are amazing. We also ordered the cheese wontons, pork and shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was really good but if I could make one change I would like the fried rice to have less oil and more shrimp. I think I had about 3/4 shrimp in my rice that came in a combo plate. Well, we went back the very next week and ordered the same items. Still very happy. Friendly staff who is comfy speaking English and the restaurant is very clean with no seating which is just fine. Not the best chinese spot in the area. Im very particular when it comes to chinese food, and asia garden was a bit subpar to under par the last time i had it. The dumplings were not at all what i was anticipating as they were fried hard and not in a wonton like i was expecting. Anyway, ill be sticking to my go to chinese spots from here on. read more

Looking for a quick dinner in-town, I stopped in to Asian Garden last night. This is a take-out and deliver only spot which looks like a hundred others. Dozens of poorly-aligned food pics above the counter, three chairs for waiting and a counter. My take-out was roast pork lo mein, and I was very pleasantly surprised by its quality. The lo mein was neither greasy nor salty, and was loaded with meat. The standard issue lo mein noodle was used, and there were few veggies, but certainly enough to produce a familiar comfort food flavor. The pork was fresh and sliced into long julienne (matchsticks), making it a bit chewy, but nothing which detracted from the preparation. There appears to be an attention to quality here, and the gentleman at the counter was pleasant and welcoming. I'll be back to try more of their menu under less pressured circumstances. read more

This is the best local Chinese food! Family owned and they care about quality. They make the best friend pork dumplings I've ever had, so if you like those then you should definitely get them here! We also like their chicken with garlic sauce, General Tso's chicken, pepper steak, chicken wings, and spare ribs. Honestly, I've never had anything I didn't like here. I agree with other reviews. The food was very good; very fresh. This is now my goto spot in Union for Chinese food.

I have done take out from here a couple of times in the past few months. At first the quality was great but recently it's been a below average. The rice has been a bit hard, unfresh , and unappetizing. I hope that it gets better after this review, because this was my favorite Chinese spot in Union. read more

I'm a transplant from Union to Roselle Park (2 towns away), and unfortunately RP does not have any really good Chinese food. So Asia Garden, near the town lines, is worth the drive. There are lots of really good Chinese spots in Union, so I'm not stomping on those. Just this one, for where I currently live, is as good as you can get. I'm not much of a takeout person, but I have enjoyed the food from Asia Garden and it has become my go-to spot when I don't feel like cooking. The lo mein is good & not greasy (which is unusual!) The spring rolls are surprisingly flavorful & fresh tasting (normally, I find spring rolls good but nothing special, so these stand out to me). My only complaint? When I get the moo shu, I'd love it if they included a few more of the pancake/wrapper thingies. I'll have to remember to request more the next time I get food there! read more

Good Chinese takeout is always #whassup this spot has delish shrimp eggrolls w/ gasppppp whole shrimp INSIDE the eggrolls!! Lol! We usually order 2-3 x's a month. Everything is fresh and none of that funny oily taste that accompanies somethings like fried chicken or scallion pancakes. read more
