Given the cold weather, I decided to order in at pho 60. I've had my fair share of pretty good and decent Vietnamese spring rolls and Banh mi to know that what I ordered definitely wasn't it... starting with the spring rolls. I was shocked to find that it wasn't wrapped with rice paper, but rather simple basic Chinese spring roll wrappers. The filling didn't have the iconic noodles and wood ear mushrooms nor the taste. But it didn't taste bad. Next was the Banh mi. Classic banh mi have mayo and pate smeared on the baguette and it should have the traditional hams, cucumber, cilantro, pickled carrots and daikon radish. This banh mi definitely didn't have all the elements and it was a little disappointing. Though it didn't like it was suppose to taste like, they still tasted alright. I wouldn't say that I'd come back willingly, especially if I'm craving Vietnamese cuisine.
Yummy food and fast service also the food sever fast. The waitress are friendly. I love the chicken. My parents had the soup noodles. My mom loves her food From the restaurant too. My dad the meat is soft and easy to chew but not enough sauce on the meat. They said soup is a bit salty.
First off, the calamari we ordered was delicious. I got a rice dish with grilled pork chop, Chinese sausage, and a fried egg. The grilled pork chop was flavorful. However, normally, I get full before I can finish a rice dish at pho places like Pho BK, for an example. At this location, I feel like the serving sizes are smaller. We also got pho, which was okay. But there is a good amount of meat slices. As for the Bahn Mi and spring rolls, I was very disappointed. The ambiance of the place was decent. The service was okay too. I felt rushed when we were eating because I felt like the server kept staring at us, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. Lastly, I was a little shocked when I overheard the server demanding a different table for more tips. Overall, the food is okay, but we probably won't be back often.
Tucked away behind a 24/7 supermarket, this spot might be easy to miss, but it's a real hidden gem if you're into Vietnamese food. It's rarely crowded, even on Friday or Saturday nights, and it's great for big groups. I always go for their bánh xèo--a Vietnamese fried pancake stuffed with shrimp and bean sprouts. I'm pretty sure the batter has coconut cream, which gives it a rich, layered flavor. Every bite is a mix of crispy pancake, tender shrimp, and the sweet, sour, and salty balance of the fish sauce. The portions are generous too--one bánh xèo can fill you up like a full meal.
Do you ever have a place that you keep telling yourself you need to go to, and when you finally do after months of longing, you find them closed that day? Well, that happened with Pho 60 (I had some special teacher holiday Mondays off), so I was happy to find an excuse on a random Fall Saturday to stop by. By 2 PM, the place had plenty of empty tables, but some satisfied looking customers sitting with their food coma. I sat by myself in the back and already knew what I was going to order -- an iced viet coffee and a Bun Bo Hue, because, how can you go wrong? I don't need to write much else in this update except that both still slap, so if you're in the area (or if you love Bun Bo Hue), do yourself and make the trip.
This is a spot I come to often. I always get a table right away and food comes out quick. Spring rolls are a bit different than what I'm used to, but still tasty. My bf says they put taro in it? But might need to fact check that. My go-tos are the pho, spring rolls and grilled pork over vermicelli, or the beef cubes w/ rice. I'm always satisfied after eating here!
Fast service. Place was freezing but it leveled out with the hot soup. Inside decor looked so cute. It would be cute to have a party here. I was so hungry. I didn't really need the egg but I did enjoy it. I'd love to come back here again with others. $20+ for soup and tea. The bowl of soup was huge.
2 for 2 had pho last week and today the beef stew noodles. so very good and affordable at $12 planning to come back to try the pork chop and the beef rib pho.
This is a cute and tiny Vietnamese restaurant with pretty teapots. I used to like their pho; however, the quality of the food changed. The soup seems to have less flavor and the noodles aren't as bouncy. The spring rolls also tasted a little off and the lettuce was wilted. I might have come on their off day because I remember the food being better.
I love this place! It's great meal and everything taken care of. Just ordered from Uber eats but it is great to have them :) I ordered delivery but it came with hot and fresh. Highly recommend! Just one thing that my address it shows on my phone was correct but the delivery guy had a wrong address and he raised my voice to me I put wrong. It was frustrating but luckily he was on the same block.
Came here for dinner at 5PM on a Saturday afternoon and it was mostly empty so we got seated immediately. The decor is your typical viet restaurant. We ordered the beef cubes over white rice, pork and spring roll over vermicelli rice, and an order of wings. Surprisingly, my beef cubes came first. It was a decent portion size, smaller than what I'm use to but the price is also cheaper than a majority so it reflects. Sauce was tasty and beef was tender. The wings came second and was freshly fried. It didn't have much flavor but it was very juicy and the skin crispy. The vermicelli rice was a great portion with lots of veggies and rice noodles. I would say though that the pork chop was a lot thinner than most places I've been to but decent nonetheless.
Clean space and had a good experience first time here. I got the Banh Canh or crab noodle soup and it was very good especially with the fried crab on top. It's rare to find this dish anywhere else so I was glad they had it here. My friend got their Bun Bo Hue and the broth was very flavorful as well. There were good pieces of meat portions in both dishes as well. We also got a small portion of the pork spring rolls and they were standard, nothing to rave about. Would probably skip and get something else. Pho 60 has a whole section dedicated to banh hoi and I would definitely come back to try them! Overall, good space, good service and solid food.
Came here over the weekend and the service was friendly. Quiet and food was delicious. Will be going jack more often.

First time trying this Vietnamese restaurant and came based on reviews. A lot of available tables (it was a Sunday night). The staff was really attentive and friendly. Food was served quickly but I think it could have used a little more heat. I feel like their curry chicken noodle soup lacked flavor. The curry soup was bland and really fatty. Their regular pho is really good though. They make their noodles softer than most Vietnamese restaurants would but I was okay with that. read more

Really a 3.5. Most random spot for a Vietnamese restaurant. Came for dinner with some friends on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. There's about 7-8 tables so prepare to wait during peak hours. This place is definitely pricier than most Viet restaurants and doesn't have much to show for it in my opinion. We had the pork spring rolls ($5.95 for 4 pieces) to share and the skin is definitely different from other restaurants. It was still delicious and the pork was very flavorful. I had the grilled pork chop noodle soup ($9.95) and the soup was very light. It didn't have that strong MSG taste which is something I personally prefer but others might say lacks flavor. The pork chop was juicy but the portion didn't seem to be worth it for the price. My friends were satisfied with their dishes as well but also thought it wasn't really worth it when they can get the same thing for a cheaper price. There's a grand opening special with 10% off your bill but that pretty much covers the tax portion. They do a good job with presentation with some of their dishes but still not worth it in my books. If you're looking for a new Viet place to try out besides the usual spots on 8th ave, it is worth a try. read more
Impromptu lunch after spending an entire morning at the salon. This place is a gem! It's located right behind the circus supermarket. I had the pho and my mother had their grilled chicken noodle soup. The magic is in the broth! The broth is literally bursting with taste. Not to mention, it's NOT oily at all- so that's a win in itself! I tried a piece of the grilled chicken- amazing. I was told to let them know not too grilled because apparently they really grill it to it a crisp. So if you're into crispy, that might be your thing. Anyway, I was so impressed that I had to order an app and went with the classic spring roll. It's definitely crunchier but the roll itself is the smaller side. The place itself is small but the ambience is good. High ceilings and big windows so plenty of light. Staff was nice and quick. I frequent the Vietnamese restaurant on 8th ave but after coming here, going to the viet restaurant on 8th ave will never be the same. read more

Great authentic food! Service is always friendly and fast. I've been here twice now and I will keep coming back. I believe the tea is complimentary with your meal. The classic pho is a must. Their spring rolls have the perfect ratio of vermicelli to vegetables. I'll have to try their banh mi next time. Solid meal without breaking the bank. You can easily get two entrees and an appetizer for $30. read more

Ordered from Pho 60 through Uber Eats and was simply blown away by how good everything was. I'm used to getting good Pho from the casual Viet places in the area but the pho I had here had so many extras and the prices were still very low considering the quality of the food here. This made me want to say I will never want to pay for overpriced Viet fusion in Manhattan again! We ordered the 4 piece Pork Spring Roll, Special Viet Sandwich and the Pho 60 Special Noodle Soup. Everything was delivered piping hot without any major spills. I had expected the spring rolls to be the typical double fried, extra crispy ones that I always get at the Viet restaurants, so I was a little disappointed. These were still very tasty, but I found that the filling was a little mushy and the wrapper wasn't as crunchy as I like. However, the Pho made me forget all about that. If you order the Special Pho in the restaurant, you get a giant bowl of brisket, beef eye round, tendon, tripe, and beef ball for the shocking price of $10.50. They mean business when they cook this bowl, because everything about it is perfection soothing the soul on a chilly winter night. I could wax poetic about the juices and the tenderness of the meats, how they were never ending, and how a sip of the broth seems to awaken every taste bud in the mouth.. Simply put, this pho is so umami and magical. It was enough to feed me for 2 meals and even eating it the day after was extremely satisfying. The next day I had the Special Viet Sandwich for lunch, and no surprise here, this was delicious as well. Equal fillings of Vietnamese ham, grilled caramelized pork, and pate mixed with carrots and cilantro give you a fresh, yet savory sandwich that leaves you sated without the itis. For $6.50 this whole baguette of a sandwich is a steal as well. I'm already planning my next order from Pho60 :) read more

A more modern setting but the same classic type of menu for Vietnamese food, also very isolated restaurant (away from the 8th avenue strip). A group of us decided to stop here for dinner on a rainy night, and there was no wait and plenty of tables available. Definitely a cleaner restaurant than your typical Viet spots and the prices were about the same (not as expensive as your hipster Viet spots). I had the grilled pork vermicelli ($8.95) and added spring rolls to it for an extra fee. It was a huge portion and definitely came with a lot more pork than I expected. The pork was flavorful but ended up being too salty for my liking. The spring rolls were decent, I definitely had better elsewhere. The waitress brought us extra fish sauce for some of our dishes. Most of my other friends had got the pho (they've already been there before) and love the broth. The service was amazing - our waitress was accommodating and even offered a little heater by our table because it was a bit chilly in there. She checked up on us very often and refilled our teas constantly. Their menu is pretty extensive and I can't wait to be back to try other things - maybe this will become my usual Viet spot. read more

I ordered the Pork Chop Pho with a small Pork Spring Roll. For sushi, we got a Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and an Avocado Roll. You get the choice of hot tea or water. They measured our temperature before we sat down and also we had to write our personal information for COVID precautions. The Pho was very good and flavorful and the grilled pork chop came already cut, which is super convenient. The spring rolls were really good but my friend didn't like how small they were and how they looked like they had just come out of a package. However, I thought the flavor was good as well as the accompanying fish sauce. The rolls were also very good, the avocado roll and spicy tuna tasted very fresh. The shrimp tempura roll didn't have much shrimp but it was still good. The waitresses were also very lovely. Overall, a very decent Vietnamese cuisine place with many options, even sushi. read more

Eating pho usually reminds me of going in to a dirty hole in the wall for some cheap good food, but Pho 60 is different. They have modern decorations that make the place look clean. Upon getting seated, you're given a menu that doesn't look like its been around for years and then they serve you tea in a cute ceramic teapot. My table ordered the beef brisket pho, curry chicken noodle soup, spicy beef and pork noodle soup, and curry chicken with rice. I liked how they offered pho with only brisket because pho usually comes with eye of round, a lean part of the cow that I don't enjoy because it usually comes out tough. The curry chicken noodle soup was interesting and def like nothing I've ever had before in a viet restaurant. It was similar to Laksa, Malaysia's version of curry noodles, except their version was saltier, not as creamy, and had rice noodles. The spicy beef and pork noodle soup was prob my fav because the type of noodles paired so nicely with the broth. The broth may be a little too salty for some, but I thought it was good. It was reminiscent of tom yum soup with salty and sour notes. I didn't get to try the curry chicken with rice, but my only complaint was that it took so long to come out. This menu is pretty extensive, so I'm sure there's something for everyone. If you're looking for a nicer place to eat viet food, give this place a try! read more
Overall, I enjoyed Pho 60 and it is a solid place to get your Vietnamese fix. The service was very attentive, the restaurant was extremely clean and nicely designed. I ordered the spring rolls and the beef pho. Both were good but weren't amazing. The spring rolls were a 3/5 and the beef pho was a solid 3.5/4. I would come back to try some of the other dishes if I were in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more
Came here awhile ago on a week night and place was fairly packed. Ordered their Beef Noodle Pho and some appetizer dishes not knowing whether it pairs up to the rest of the Vietnamese restaurant around the area. The Pho noodle soup definitely is the standout winner; broth was flavorful, meat was tender and the rest of the noodle bowl tasted good. The appetizer dishes was another story, the fried chicken wing was way too oily. I used so many tissue to blot off the excess oil, even the waitress asked the cook in the back about the dish. Egg rolls were in super duper small pieces charging the same amount as other places with bigger quantity. Overall, I'll stick to my standard Pho noodle the next time. read more

I may have found my new go-to Vietnamese spot! It's located a few blocks away from the crowded Brooklyn Chinatown so it's less crowded. At least for now. The decor is cute and cozy, a step away from your usual Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. The food is pretty legit and as close to what I've eaten in Little Saigon in the LA area. They actually have bun rieu here which is a crab and tomato base soup and most pho places don't even have that on their menu. So far I have tried their Vietnamese pancake, the rice cake, the special pho 60 noodle soup which is the well known number 1 in pho which everyone has ordered before and the shrimp paste bun rieu. And we had the flan and tapioca cake for dessert. The pancake was good, nice and crispy with lots of fillings inside. The rice cake was not so good. Too mushy and bland for my liking. The version in LA served it with fried pork rinds which gives it flavor and crunch. The pho soup was delicious. The broth was very clean yet tasty and served with a mound of meat. The bun rieu was also delicious. So packed with flavor you just can't stop eating until the bowl is gone. The desserts were ok, nothing special but my friends wanted something sweet so we got them. A little pricier than some local pho places but it's worth it. I can't wait to go back to try more items off the menu. read more

I really love Pho 60, their Pho is super refreshing and delicious and i had a great time with my friends there. Their complementary tea in the tea pot and tea cups is super cute, they give green tea and their food was so good, i never had to ask for anything. Their staff was so friendly and nice to my friends and I. I did get their chicken curry soup, and it had an amazing flavor, i tasted coconut, however with that specific soup, the noodles were a bit over cooked and honestly it tasted like spaghetti but i hope i'm wrong lol. Nonetheless it was delicious, their spring rolls are good but they're not out of this world. super crunchy though! read more

A newly opened viet restaurant. Cozy interior. What we ordered- Chicken wings - standard wings (all flat pieces) freshly fried/very crispy Soft Shell Crab - eat it with the veggie Tapioca cake - the cake itself is warm so satisfying to enjoy in a cold winter Viet Coffee- i like the tea set they are using very cute The servers are super smily and nice :) read more

Oh man, is Sunset Park going through a transformation? I mean, this restautant is located in Dyker Heights but it's close to 8th Avenue. The ethnic restaurants around here are starting to look cleaner and trendier. What makes Pho 60 stand out from the other run-of-the-mill Vietnamese restaurants is that it has a trendy and bright interior - almost like a hip cafe. I don't think the food quality is any different from other Vietnamese places in Sunset Park but at least the quality of the food is well made. Pho 60 gets busy around dinnertime with people waiting for a table to sit. I thought the Spring Rolls were really good - crispy and hot. The Vietnamese Rice Cake would've taste better if it was fresh. It felt like they were just reheated and became soft. The Grilled Pork on Rice Vermicelli was tasty too. And for the pho, it did its job of hitting my craving! read more

This spot use to be a nice Viet add on to the neighborhood. This was the first time since covid that my family ordered from here. However, the quality downgraded. They do have plenty of seats outside now, maybe the quality is better when you are eating there. So we ordered takeout today, however the baggy we got for the pho was disgusting. It was soggy, wet, and basically inedible. The bean sprouts were slimy turning color, same as the mint leaves in there. The lime was okay but still slimy. I've heard great things about this place from my friends so I definitely wanted to check it out. Dined inside on a Sunday afternoon and the staff were friendly. I thought the food was alright, not my favorite bowl of pho but definitely not bad. It hits the spot when you are craving a hot bowl of pho but it may not be as flavorful as other spots. I would give it another shot if I'm in the area again. read more
New viet restaurant! Thank goodness it's not in the crowded center of 8th ave. For a little less congestion, it's worth it. Service was good. Not like the kind you usually get at am asian restaurant. Food was good and had very nice presentation. Actually the restaurant itself had very nice decor. Appreciated the videos of Vietnam playing on TV screen. Brought back memories of my trip there. Owner was super nice and even offered my baby cotton candy. Will be coming back to try the banana desserts! read more
Had a brunch date with my grown babies here . Food pics include Spring Rolls (menu item A1) Beef Cubes with fries fries (menu item #R11) Vietnamese pho (menu item #N1) outdoor seating available and service was quick, friendly and very efficient. We ordered two orders of the spring rolls because they were that good! Although you see more onions then beef cubes don't be fooled under all that flavored sautéed onion was a lot of beef fried rice was delicious and my son cleaned that plate. Lil Mama's and I loved the pho. Definitely coming back. read more

They're trying, but unfortunately that's not good enough. My avocado shake took 20 minutes to make, I was the only customer. It was way too sweet- tasted like a straight syrup bomb with no avocado. They don't know how to make it, kept asking their coworkers if there's ice that goes in it. "It's a milkshake, of course there's ice" someone said. They blended my drink 3 times because they don't know what goes inside. Take it off the menu if you don't know how to make something. read more
Finally a new Vietnamese spot that opened around the area, besides eating at Gia Lam on 8th Avenue. Location: Great location IMO. Transit friendly if you don't drive, N train and two bus lines (b16 and b9). If you do drive, it might be hard to find parking during certain times of the day due to the supermarket across the street and people buying grocery. Great area to be seen by car traffic and by foot if you are just passing by! Customer Service/Environment: Decorations are definitely very modern and I just love the whole wooden look they decorated their restaurant with. Seating is limited since the place isn't quite big. This is my second time coming in a month and I have to say the owners were very kind. They asked for my opinion on their food and I was being honest the first time I came and the second time I came, they already took my opinion and changed what I thought could have been better and I am glad they did. Shows they care about their customers and want their customers to enjoy their food. Since they just opened maybe only a month, they still are short on waitresses (add one more waitress and would be perfect). Overall, the waitress and owners are friendly and I hope it'll stay that way. Customer Service is always a plus in my book. Food: Yes we all know food has to taste good too, besides having good service and let me tell you, this place is good. WAY better than Gia Lam. It's worth making a trip here if you want better tasting Vietnamese food. Food is reasonable price as well. This is my second time coming back in a month and I am impressed for a new restaurant! Food presentation is amazing as well! 1) NS1 "PHO 60 SPECIAL NOODLE SOUP" (Fire Train Head as most of us know it is). The broth is important when you want a good bowl of noodles and they definitely did the broth right! The broth was very light and doesn't have that overwhelming MSG taste yet very flavorful. I like the bowl they served it with because it keeps the broth nice and warm throughout your meal. Noodles are great and the meat is soft and tender. My boyfriend is a picky either and even he said it was really great! 2) PORK SPRING ROLLS: Ugh, maybe it's just me but I really really like them. I had to get them again when I came back the second time. This was kind of my main reason of wanting to come back. I kept thinking about the spring rolls. HAHA! 3) GRILLED PORK CHOP RICE: Beautiful presentation and delicious as well. Pork chops were grilled nicely and had plenty of flavor as well! 4) D2 "BAHN FLAN (CARAMEL EGG FLAN)": Homemade. A little sweet for my liking since I'm not a sweet type of person to begin with, but if you like sweets you might actually enjoy it. Has a hint of caramel and coffee taste to it. I still finished it though! 5) D4 "BANANA PIE W. ICE CREAM)": OH MY. I really enjoyed this. Maybe because I like bananas LOL, and with the ice cream on top, made it even better. Homemade as well which I am impressed. I will definitely get this again. YUM. And if you ask for tea rather than water, their tea cups and kettle is freaking CUTE! It reminds me of prince tea house haha and they actually have tea leaves inside! Okay, my review was quite long I know, but I feel like for a restaurant that just opened not too long ago, they really blew me away of how well their food tasted. I think I'm not going to ever go back to Gia Lam again and come here instead. Definitely my new Vietnamese spot!! DEFINITELY WORTH COMING!
