The spring rolls were good for being up in the mountains and for that I am giving them a 4 star, but the pho is a different story. I had a bad feeling that the broth would be full of MSG and I was correct. My mouth was so dry several hours after eating the pho because of the MSG overload. You could taste it in the broth and feel the tingle on your lips. If you are craving pho then go for it but if you can wait go to your to go place that you go to in Denver or wherever you are from. read more

Cong H, if you were not there to witness firsthand, please don't condone the rude behavior of your waitress. She did not let me "try" the broth as you claim. When I pointed out the bloody color of the broth, she abruptly threw my bowl in the dishbin - she did not ask me to try it. My husband, daughter and many customers were there and everyone was taken aback by her harsh reaction. I believe your broth was not boiling hot but lukewarm which is why it became such a bloody color. The blood from the meat did not cook but rather seeped into the broth. Even if you look in the bin, you can compare the colors of your broths. The broth color of my bowl (which your waitress threw into the bin) is not the same color as the broth in the adjacent bowls. Something was clearly wrong with my broth, and your waitress (instead of offering me a new bowl of broth) quickly threw the "evidence" of the kitchen's error into the dish bin because it really did look disgusting and unappetizing. Regardless of whether it is a busy time or not for your restaurant, your food needs to be up to health standards (the broth needs to be hot) and your waitress needs to still be polite to customers. read more

What a fantastic little place! It was perfect after a long day of skiing. The service was excellent and our large bowls of pho came our pretty quickly (which was awesome because we were starving!). The noodles were perfect, the soup was flavorful and all the fixings were awesome. Couldn't have asked for more :). Pho 20 opened about 3 years ago, & really has no competition in the area. I ordered Spring Rolls, made with marinated pork, 2 for $4.95. A small bowl of Pho is $8.50; large is $10.50. There is a large variety on the menu, & most dishes are under $15. Service can be spotty, even when it's not busy. I'm not sure why. Sometimes it's understaffed, it's just not consistent. Located in the Christy Lodge building, there is built-in business, plus the local buses stop here several times a day. Some get off the bus & eat or order takeout, then catch a later bus. read more

Everything was perfect - the composition of the broth, the meats, the noodles, and the side herbs. Absolutely no complaints, it was perfect for a freezing winter night after snowboarding in nearby Beaver Creek. Also the portions are huge!! Worst Vietnamese food I've had in awhile. My husband and I are visiting from Fort Collins and tried this place out for dinner on our first night in the area. When we walked in, there were several tables that were "open" but not bussed so we patiently waited at the door to be seated. A table was finally cleared and we sat. We ordered a lychee boba tea, fresh spring rolls, and two bowls of pho. The spring rolls were dry and the peanut sauce was watered down and runny - absolutely no flavor. The lychee boba tea was also watered down, and the boba balls tasted old... I will say the broth for the pho and the amount of meat we got (shrimp for me and flank steak for my husband) were the only 'okay' highlights of our meal. I would highly recommend saving your money for something else. This restaurant is overpriced for less than mediocre food. read more

This was one of the most tragic restaurant experiences I have had in quite some time. We stopped in around 12:30 pm and were quickly sat - there were about 7 other people in the entire restaurant total (important note for later). After quickly ordering our Pho and apps and a Hot Tea. I should have known there was going to be a problem after it took three asks and 15 minutes to get my tea. From there it became an epic disaster - after about a dozen apologies and 70 minutes we still had not received even our apps. My 5-year-old ordered chicken fingers - a three-minute dish - fry the freaking chicken. His came last - about 90 minutes into our horrific journey. As a local in the valley I have visited many if not all the restaurants here. PHO 20 has become my favorite place to eat at! It has fresh, delicious, hot Pho along with many other scrumptious dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's also very reasonable in comparison to all the high end restaurants that charge a mint for small portions. We were staying at the Christie Lodge for the second time. Last time we stayed we ate here the food was good but the service was slow. This time we came in we were told to sit anywhere, so we sat in the middle of the restaurant. We then were ignored for 15 minutes as the staff walked past us at least a half dozen times. At no time did anyone acknowledge us, in which case we would have stayed, they just kept serving other people as if we didn't exist. We left and I can tell you this kind of service doesn't reflect badly on the just restaurant, it also reflects badly on the Christie Lodge, which is too bad because we have enjoyed our stays with them. We went to Pho 20 because of the high reviews, but they were so far off from the actual experience. Dirty seats outdoors (something stuck to my dress) and a hair in my pho.
