Was super impressed with this place! Not expecting much from a Thai place in the middle of a mountain town so this was a really great surprise. Friends and i stopped by here for some takeout after a long day of skiing on a Saturday around 530p. The restaurant was so full, zero open tables. A pretty small place, but probably about 10 tables. Very typical vThey have a takeout section at the back that also had a little wait. We ordered the khao soy, the Penang curry, and the pad see ew, with some crab Rangoon, larb gai and a taro boba milk tea. It took about 30 min for everything to come out, but it was all there packed perfectly in our big paper bag to go. The Khao soy was the star of the night - the Flavor was perfect, they packed the noodles on the side so they were fresh, as well as the crispy wonton strip toppings. The pad see ew was a little bit sweet and a lot of delicious. Loved the texture of the noodles, they've got some grip to them! The curry was also so good it's hard to pick a favorite. Even the taro boba tea was delicious. (I just wish they added a little more boba) But overall I really enjoyed this meal, will definitely be back my next time in frisco! The coconut rice upgrade was also really sweet and not what I had expected since it came with coconut sauce poured on top of jasmine rice. The other curries that the rest of my party got were also on the sweeter end, so you may want to pass on the curries here if you don't like sweet thai curries. Kua Gai - best dish, nice flavor with a breadth of wok taste. Highly recommend this. Chicken Satay - a bit dry and underwhelming. Wish it had more of a satay taste, and the sauce was okay and on the sweeter end again. Thai Ice Tea - pretty decent, sweet. Service was a little slow but they were nice. Restaurant was full when we queued on a Saturday night and we waited about 10 minutes for a table. They only brought half of our order and then when we were asked several times for the rest of the food (which they wrongly gave to another table) they were pretty rude. Was in Frisco to get my ski equipment rentals and saw Summit Thai in the shopping center and decided to give it a try. They were able to accommodate our party of 6. The restaurant makes authentic Thai cuisine with the freshest ingredients, traditional recipes, and a touch of Thai hospitality. We were seated in the main dining area. It was decorated with Thai decor and was comfortable and homely. We started our meal with two orders of the Gyoza or Pot stickers filled w/ chicken & veggies, served with house dark soy sauce. They were served crispy and had a good flavor. I initially ordered Beef Noodle Soup with Egg Noodle, sliced beef, bean sprout, green onion, cilantro and crispy garlic in hearty beef broth for my entree. I did not like the egg noodles and the beef was very tough so I asked if I could order something else. I then ordered Pad See Ew Stir-fried wide rice noodle with egg, broccoli and sweet soy sauce. This dish was much better in my opinion and was a very large portion and had lots of chicken. They took the beef soup off the bill. The server suggested the mango lemonade and at first I thought it was a kind gesture because of the problem I had with my entree order but he was just upselling. He also continue to ask if we wanted to try the Italian sodas wish came across as a little pushy. The mango lemonade was very refreshing. Many people in our party ordered the Pad Thai or Stir-fried thin rice noodle mixed with a tangy tamarind sauce combined with egg, bean sprout and green onion, sprinkled with crushed peanut. A nice touch is you can specify your spice level when ordering your dish. We did have issues where someone ordering a mild spice level received a spicy dish. Take out order for pad thai, green and red curry, khao soi and beef noodle soup scratched our itch for some Thai food after skiing all day. They fulfilled the order super fast, like 15 mins, and were also very friendly upon pickup. Prices were very reasonable. Curries were a bit too sweet, could not finish them. They ask for a heat rating 1-5 for all the dishes, 3 wasn't as hot as I expected, but it's all subjective. Plus side they were open on a Tuesday when lots of places were closed. This was one of the worst pad thai dishes i've ever had. I ordered take out since I was visiting town for the night and ordered online given the positive reviews I read. I placed my order to be ready ASAP and it said it was going to take an hour to get my meal which is quite a long time for an online order for one plate. I got there a little early and luckily my food was ready. I also decided to add extra veggies to the order for $3 which was not worth it. It had a few pieces of broccoli a couple extra carrots and a piece of cabbage stuffed into this small container with my dry flavorless pad thai. The lime also had very little juice and the spice I had was hot and it didn't seem to have any spices in it. The food was so dry and flavorless I could hardly eat it and decided to throw it out. Maybe eating there in person would have been better but I do not recommend this plate to go. It was expected to be seen on a badly sun faded piece of paper posted on the front door, along with many other things posted around it on the front door. Yummy! We stopped here for lunch on a Friday our way to the mountains and were very surprised at how busy it was, almost every single table was full. We started with the Thai tea which was great and then got chicken pad Thai (spice level 1) and panang curry (spice level 2). Both our dishes were really good, and the spice level 2 definitely has some heat! They were also really good sized portions so we had leftovers. The service was disappointing from the start -- we weren't given any of the usual table spices, and we had to ask multiple times for basic items like extra napkins and a spoon. We visited with friends during the lunch hour and the restaurant was busy. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Kee Mao described as "stir-fried wide rice noodle w/ carrot, basil, bell pepper, bamboo shoot, tomato & onion in basil sauce" and washed my meal down with a Thai Iced Coffee. Came here with my friends for lunch. We were able to sit down right away and the food didn't take too long to come. A couple of my friends ordered the Khao Soi (not pictured) - I tried it and I think it was probably my favourite dish. It was nicely flavored and was a good portion size. The Chicken Noodle Soup is basically like a bowl of pho, which was exactly what I wanted. Very light soup and hearty amount of noodles and meat. The pad see ew was nicely cooked as well. My friends who ordered the soups were a bit disappointed. The Tom Kha came out to be very salty, so we asked if they could make it less salty as it was almost undrinkable. The bowl we got after was still pretty salty - I think they just warmed it up again and added water or something but didn't fix it too much. The chicken satay was a bit dry and hard, but it was okay with the sauces. Overall, nice Thai place to stop by if you're in the area! Came on a Wed night just after 5:30 and the place was already packed. We waited about 20 mins for a table (three of us). They had some local brews....which isn't always the case at Thai places. There is a sign on the door warning about spice levels....you should heed the warning. My bride ordered the Yellow Curry with Chicken ($15) with zero spice and she enjoyed it. I ordered the Green Curry with Chicken ($15) and spice level 1 and it was excellent. My sister ordered the Garlic Lover with shrimp ($17) and was pleased. Let's say you don't like mushrooms and want to just make it more heavy broccoli. Answer is no but you can add an order of broccoli. Let's say you want a small side of tofu with your meal. Nope. You can order an appetizer full order. The reality is they just don't get the ask. I don't even think they even realize they are being difficult. It's just a sort of robotic response.
