We ordered shrimp, baigan bhurta, malai koftay, some rice veggie rolls along with rice and garlic naans. Everything was piping hot. Thankfully the restaurant didn't smell like a "desi-masala" place. A great break have "Indian" food amidst all of the snobbier restaurants in the "Vail Village". We order up a mixture of appetizers and entrees, sharing them all with the table. The Goat Curry won first prize out of the the 5 dishes and 3 appetizers were ordered. Hot soft Naan with nice crunch edges was also a highlight of the meal. Wish I'd taken more pictures so you could get a better idea of the dishes and serving size. Only downfall was their "wine list", which only has a few (very few) options and all of them were on the barely tolerable side. Stick with their beers, you'll be much happier.

The fur seat cushions were unexpected and cozy. Our waiter was great and checked in on us often. We ordered two portions of the Veg Samomas to share among the four of us and one entree each. I had a glass of wine and two others had two beers each. I share this now for pricing considerations. We ordered our entrees and choose curries, chicken tikka masala and the lamb rogan josh. We also ordered bread. While the food was good, it wasn't great. I'm not sure that I could put my finger on why it wasn't my favorite, but we've walked away from other Indian places wishing we could stay. The place itself is charming. The staff were kind as well. I'm not sure we would return, though, with the price tag. Our bill was $200 for 4, before tip.

That's aside, they were happy to serve us there and brought us papadums and a trio of salsas. Every last one was so good - a nice mix of spicy, herby and cooling. We ordered several things both to try and to take back home: Sherpa stew, lamb saag and chicken tandoori. All were incredibly flavorful, not too spicy but with enough spice to make our tastebuds sing. I also ordered their mango margarita and loved their version - a bit of spice and not too sweet. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN!…read more We traveled 20 miles to get to this restaurant and the experience was hugely disappointing. We repeatedly told our server that we needed vegan food. Despite the repeated reminder we found chicken in the daal. What made it worse was the glib apology from our server. The chef and the owner should have both come to apologize. What's worse is after the server saw my niece throw up directly as a result of eating the chicken piece, they offer to remove the daal and have the gall to tack on the 18% gratuity because we were a party of 7!! At this point, the owner manager should have stepped in taken control of the situation. But he/she was completely missing in action. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and if you're vegan or vegetarian, stay the hell away.
