I drove into Eagle from Las Vegas. After a 9 hour drive, I wanted to eat something nice, warm & spicy. I saw the open sign from the Best Western. Definitely wanted to give this Chinese restaurant a try. OMG! The Kung Pao Shrimp was so delicious. The shrimp were of good size & quality. The hot garlic sauce was of a tasty spicy blend. I did wish the peanuts were crushed but that's me being picky. The dinner portion was definitely enough for 2 people. But hey it was so good, I finished it all by myself. The gentleman behind the counter was very energetic & amusing. He was quick to refill my coke. He was very attentive. The restaurant was of great size. I was hesitant from other reviews but do like to try small town Asian restaurants. And this place did it for us!! Generous servings and the meats were pretty good. We got the house fried rice, beef lo mein, kung pao chicken, and wonton soup. The soup broth was good but the wontons weren't flavorful (could use some salt/seasoning). The shrimp and char siu pork in the rice were yummy -- and no shortage of egg! Beef lo mein and kung pao chicken were pretty standard, but we enjoyed the meat tenderness. Overall, I think the dishes could use more seasoning but everything was good. We had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day. Some of the worst "Chinese/Mandarin/Szechuan" I've had in years. The fish with ginger and scallions was old and flavorless...like bad jerky. The beef Chow Fun resembled linguini (not wide, flat rice noodles) and the beef tasted weird, almost fishy. General Tso's chicken was stringy, old, and tasteless. We were in town for a mountain bike race and my daughter wanted Chinese, so we stopped in here. Not much to say about ambience or anything. It's a big square room with beat up seating. That's not the end of the world. The place was about half-filled. We waited in front of the restaurant (no hostess booth or anything like that) and a man was at a register looking around occasionally and back at the register while we waited to be seated. A few minutes later, he decides to give us some attention and points to a booth next to a family with a screaming child. We choose a table a little further and a woman comes out with a serving tray and really lets me have it. She points to the booth and with an angry look, points to the booth we were assigned and says "you go there, PLEASE!". I'm not willing to put up with that so I look at my daughter and we both knew it was time to cut our lost time and go elsewhere. read more

This place is sooooooo dank!! We were passing through the area and stopped in for their lunch, everything was flavorful, piping hot and we even had enough to take home leftovers! We had an early dinner at 5:15pm. Nobody eating yet. Sat down quickly and ordered Crab Puffs, Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. Food came out within 12 minutes. Huge portions. The service was very dry. We were the only table at first with very little service, we weren't check on at all, only for our food & drink order and ticket drop off. So definitely could've been better. The food was hot, fast and amazing! The sweet and sour chicken was crispy and the sauce was more sweet than sour. It came with a cup of egg drop soup and bbq pork fried rice, they're good. The soup has onion and so does the rice, string bean included in rice too! Good service . Food was affordable and large portions for the price. We ordered chicken , shrimp fried rice . Chicken Lo mein & mongolian beef . The chicken in the fried rice did lack a bit of flavor but was still good . Our waitress was friendly and available when needed. This place has a good lunch special, which they serve from 11a-3p. Today's food was VERY good which is why I gave them three stars. The first time I came here about a month and a half ago I ordered the house lo mein with a bunch of different meats and the beef and pork was not cooked completely. I mean both me and another person in the party that I came with had almost raw pieces. I decided to try them again and was not disappointed!!! They had no interest to answer any questions and when they calculated my bill incorrectly, they refused to correct it!!! The food was way below average, a lot worse than Chinese fast food such Panda Express. The salt and pepper fish filet was NOT fish filet, but fish nuggets and they looked very differently than the picture on the menu. The ma-po tofu was horrible as well, and the picture on the menu was misleading too. The fried rice??? It was a big joke!!! It's not fried rice but looked and tasted like left over rice.
