    Veggie Delight Lunch Special
    Smeeth W.

I was there for the lunch special and I was a little underwhelmed. The foods are affordable for the downtown Aspen area and the overall ambiance is excellent. But there's lacking of character and authenticity.

This is one of two Asian cuisines in Aspen and it definitely reflect the expenses of Aspen. Expect everything to cost at least twice what you're use to at lower elevations. We found the food is well made though and I might say even authentic. The fish appears to taste fresh and the sauce tasted as I expected. The string beans tasted great. The dan dan noodle was good but we were surprised they used ramen noodles instead of higher quality noodles. Overall the meal was good and enjoyable. The ambience is fancy and clean.

Vegan Kung Pao Cauliflower and veggies and tofu

We are pleased that they accommodate some dishes to be Vegan, no fish sauce etc We love the edamame, crispy spring rolls, Kung Pao cauliflower and the veggies with tofu

Newly remodeled, looked very modern and clean. There are some changes in the menu and of course increased the prices. This restaurant is not as reasonable like used to be, but the food it's still good. Very friendly Balinese servers , they are the highlights.

Food was great. Not sure about previous posts but wanted to try it out to determine why it low stars. Service was excellent! Ambient noise was minimal. Great for multiple groups

    hot oil steak... not good

it charges $42 for 10 mini pieces beef ,it is not really good chinese food. And spicy cucumber salad is $15 which is much better tasty than the hot oil steak

They added a 20% tip automatically without disclosing it. There is no service through out the experience. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

From the moment you step inside, the room feels cinematic, warmly lit, artfully layered, and unmistakably Aspen in the way visitors hope Aspen will be.the space feel less like a restaurant and more like stepping into a painting. The service is impeccable. Staff move through the dining room with confidence and intuition, striking that elusive balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels overlooked. Not every dish justifies its ambitious pricing, but the restaurant understands the importance of signature indulgences. The pistachio martini is memorable without gimmick. while the escargot stands out as one of the menu's most successful nods to classic French decadence. Ultimately, this is less a place to dissect course by course and more a place to experience. It captures the romanticized version of Aspen people travel here searching for elegant, decadent, a little theatrical, and undeniably beautiful.

The staff was so accommodating and welcoming even when we didn't have reservations. I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. I got this during the cyclospora outbreak, because I'm a wild person now lol but they assured me they only get quality ingredients and super clean all veggies and fruit coming in. They are pet friendly and have outdoor seating! Servers were very friendly although the serving can take a bit longer, depending on how busy they are. The French Dip came with lots of prime rib and a cup of Au jus, with horseradish to cut down on the heaviness. Crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite! It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! It was warm and creamy, with a slight kick from the jalapeño slices.

Our first server was fine but seemed somewhat checked out, while the second one randomly brought us bar snacks around our second drink (nuts, and they were delicious). Left me wondering why the first server didn't do the same. The cocktails are pricey, $20+ with a 22% gratuity automatically added to the check, but it IS Aspen after all.
