Nothing specifically lacking as a restaurant but nothing really outstanding either. So when charged $15 for a small bowl of seaweed, $10 for a 3" long fried vegetable spring roll, and $48 for a small bowl rice with a sprinkle of steak (maybe 1-2 ounce) the enjoyment of the dining experience suffers greatly under the feeling of way overpaying. Based on other locations this meal might have been fairly priced at 50% less But it was Aspen and apparently the extreme pricing doesn't stop folks from attending. But value for quality should always be a strong guiding factor regardless of location.

I ordered my go to dish when trying out a Thai place (red curry) and the boyfriend ordered their version of the drunken noodles. My curry was filled with veggies and it was indeed spicy, but the rice was pretty terrible. I don't know if it was just old or if that's just how they do it, but it wasn't jasmine and tasted a bit stale. The drunken noodles were okay but again, the noodles seemed a bit off as well. Definitely wasn't terrible, but it wasn't any place I would return to personally. The staff was friendly enough to us, however.

My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

There are a variety of menu options, including the chef omakase. Personally, I prefer the (not advertised) "server omakase" as it is tailored more to the guest preferences and experiences. And let me tell you, I have done the server omakase for 3 years now, and it knocks my socks off every time. The sake and cocktail menu are also extensive - there is something for everyone! Huge shoutout to Tammi who always checked in on us and guided us through a wonderful evening.
