I'm guessing here, but I think the gentlemen was the manager and the lady was the owner. Both took pride in the restaurant as well as the food. My partner had Mongolian Beef and I was craving Sweet and Sour. Because it was a cold night, I had to have my pot of tea. It was quiet and intimate, and it really was a perfect meal and evening. This place used to be a good Chinese restaurant. I'm not sure what happened but the food on our last visit was almost not edible. Certainly had no flavor. Ordered take out and got 4 entrees. Not only was the food cold, dry, and clearly low quality ingredients, it was the worst Chinese food we've ever had. I have to say that this is probably my new favorite restaurant. We happened in here after there was a 70 closure and everything was mobbed. I'm so glad we did. I think we've probably been here at least once a week since. We tried China Garden again and wow. The food is great. On weekends they have had a German pop up with and authentic German chef and it's outstanding. I've hold many things on the menu but I think the Singapore noodles might be my favorite. The Kung Pao Chicken is also up there. Since we've been going back there, the service has been great. Everyone that works there is very nice, and now they even recognize us! The ambiance is better than you would expect when you think of a "Chinese restaurant". I wouldn't say it's romantic, but it's a nice cozy place. The decor is nice, and there is even a turntable with some vinyl! What other Chinese restaurant has that? We usually sit at the bar as they have a decent beer selection but an even better bourbon/whiskey/scotch selection. It's under new ownership and the touches they've put on it are really nice. We have met some really cool people at the bar. They do have takeout as most (not all) Chinese restaurants do. Try them out, or better yet, go eat there! I'm heading there right now! read more

Excellent! Super chill and laid back environment. Solid bar selection and the food is very very good. The service is great as well. They offer Chinese food and they sometimes have a German PopUp in their kitchen in addition to their Chinese menu. I saw some bad reviews and was shocked. I've been there with small and large groups and we've never had a problem. I think those bad reviews are people who always leave bad reviews :-). Give this restaurant a shot! The crab cheese wontons were burnt to a crisp and the chicken fried rice was absolutely flavorless. Had to throw the Pad Thai noodle out when I got it home (see picture), it was undercooked, had no sauce, just three pieces of tofu instead of the combination I ordered, and the whole thing tasted like foul, rotten fish. The other curry dish I got tasted okay, but came with no rice. Who eats curry without rice? If you're gonna charge this much and not include it at least tell people in advance so they have a chance to order it. Best Chinese food I've had in Colorado. Had the kung pao chicken. Make sure you do not fall prey to the second greatest blunder, the first being never start a land war in Asia. We did check the reviews ahead of time and I was already hesitant... And for good reason. The other reviews paint an accurate picture of this place. The food is mediocre and bland tasting. Our service was off too. We were brought a bowl of rice that we didn't order, and later one of the employees came back over to grab it and apologized for giving it to us. The food had way too much salt and soy sauce. My tofu dish wasn't even edible it was so salty. All of our food just didn't taste right. We would never go back. Visiting once was a mistake. The original owners have recently taken over the day to day operations of this restaurant. My wide and I ate here a couple of times on our last visit in June 2023. The food was excellent. Fresh and creative in it's presentation and taste. We had pork fried rice and kung pao chicken. The rice was remarkable and the chicken was perfect. This is a sit down restaurant with table service. We had dinner here on Saturday evening. The location is very convenient. The prices are really reasonable considering the area . The serving sizes are not generous but definitely enough to satisfy your appetite for a sit down dinner. The owner is very nice and sociable. The fried rice was rice with egg and steamed vegetables - lacked the fried flavoring, and any flavoring. The dumplings are good. The portions for soup were super single-sized small but $12.
